Good hotel especially for young children. My chikdren are 18, 14 and 9 and felt they were not catered for in terms of entertainment. Food was incredible with a wide range every day. Water machines on each floor for guests was such a great gesture and one we were incredibly grateful for. Other hotels should take note. Most of the staff were friendly but the waiting staff in the dining hall made my family of 5 feel awful sometimes because there wasn't enough tables to cater for larger families. We were met with hostility and on two occasions, outright rudeness. It's a shame because they really let the hotel down. We loved the food but didn't look forward to being met like we were an inconvenience just for needing a table for 5 people. The hotel did have ants everywhere but it didn't bother us at all but it's worth mentioning. The hotel is clean and reception staff were amazing. Overall? Good hotel but I wouldn't return. I would however recommend for smaller groups with young children!
Best holiday ever!! Patrick is there best entertainer ever!! So fun! From Jessie
First, the good bits. Staff friendliness and courtesy are faultless. Nothing was too much trouble and during our fortnight stay we didn't encounter a single staff issue which is quite unusual these days. All credit to Blanca and her incredible customer service and catering staff for this! If you're a foodie, this is definitely a hotel for you as, again, the food was faultless and flavoursome. No a la carte, just one buffet restaurant, which made meal times a bit hectic. To be improved upon...we were happy on booking with the three alcoholic drinks cap at meal times but our travel agent mistakenly told us these would be branded. They're not - the only choice was sangria, beer or house wine so if you don't like those (which we didn't) your only option is expensive bar drinks. One lift remained out of order for the entirety of our trip which was inconvenient. There is only one pool which struggles to accommodate such a large number of guests and we were unable to get a sun lounger at all so resorted to the beach which was much nicer anyway. The rooms are clean and presentable but not luxurious and the walls and ceilings are thin enough to hear neighbours. This didn't bother us but our main issue was we were practically the only non-German guests which had a real impact on socialising, especially for my teenagers who normally see making friends with peers at the hotel an integral part of their summer holiday. Our Jet2 rep expressed surprise that we had been placed in this hotel as it was known as a German-orienteered hotel and explained most Brits stayed the other side of Playa de Palma. I really wish we had known this before booking. The final issue was that trips did not seem to pick us up from the hotel. We had to navigate our own way to a meeting point outside the hotel which led to some stressful transport experiences. Again, this is not the fault of the hotel, just an observation. Please note you will also be charged a hefty tourist tax on your room which we hadn't budgeted for as our travel agent had not communicated this clearly. So overall, a wonderful hotel with plenty of entertainment and lovely staff and food. Just be mindful of the social side of things depending on whether you want to be sociable or not. Thank you Iberostar for your warmth and hospitality 🙂
Lovely clean room. Close to the beach. Hotels and bars close by. We were on full board and the food selection was very good. Bus stop straight out the front so very easy to get into Palma old town. BUT, we would not stay here again. We are a couple in our early 50's with adult children and this hotel was far too kiddy-oriented for us. Listening and watching kids songs and activities all day wasn't what we are after in a holiday hotel. We ended up just going to the beach everyday instead. It is also one of those hotels where everyone gets up at the crack of dawn and saves their pool beds!!!! I think this hotel would suit families with young children, but it definitely didnt suit our needs.
The service was perfect. Jonathan is a legend!
