Just back from Zafiro Bahia and had a wonderful time with the family.
The hotel..was spotless. We are early risers so going down for breakfast we saw the detail these guys go into. Jet washing sun beds daily, scrubbing every piece of furniture. - impressive
The pools..there are numerous pools two are connected to the sun beds so you can literally slide into the pool from your sunbed mattress! Kids also loved the inflatable pool bounce.
The food... the food really was good. Different food everyday so you didn't get bored. My eldest loved Asian night on Fridays. The Gazapacho soup was the best I've had, and I'm a fan of it. The terrace bar is a great alternative for lunch if you want a sit down lunch. Great smash burgers, pizzas and pokebowls.
The drink.. Estrella Damm on draught is actually good, and it's full strength. Felt like it! The kids drinks are fantastic, milkshakes, kids cocktails etc. I was impressed with the drink offering for evening meal. You were given premium fizzy drinks (coke, fanta, sprite) in large glass bottles. Never seen this elsewhere and it's great. The cocktail menu from the main bar is great, the cocktails are top quality, as is the service .
The rooms.. this was the one slight disappointment for me. If you can afford a better room than the one bedroom suite I would. Although the room was spotless. The pull out bed isnt great, the sofa side of it was hard to sleep on. There was also an unpleasant smell in the mornings on that side. The view as you would expect isn't great for these rooms, we overlooked tennis courts and road. But you get what you pay for I guess. The aircon is great however.
Minus the one room issue, I would recommend this hotel, and would be unfair to give it less than 5 star. I would definitely return and would like to thank all the staff - excellent.
Just back from a week's stay. Had a fantastic stay from start to finish - the location is great with the beautiful beach at the back of the hotel, the facilities are incredible with a packed schedule of events for all ages. Really enjoyed the yoga, aquafit and spin sessions in the pool, whilst my daughter loved the kids club and entertainment. Was a bit apprehensive about the evening entertainment, fearing it would be a bit naff. Absolutely not - was really tastefully done and appealed to all ages - we were all big fans of the kids' and family Kahoot as well as the evening shows. Most of all the staff, every single one of them, was lovely and exceptionally hard working. The place was spotless, all staff are friendly and welcoming and the entertainment team is incredible. So kind and caring towards kids - they really made our holiday. We've never been to a hotel a second time but we will be back!
We have stayed at a few different hotels on Playa de Muro beachfront, however the Zafiro Bahia tops them all.
The staff at this hotel deserve a lot of praise as they are all incredibly hard working and friendly. We witnessed deep cleaning of the outside area every morning and saw the attention to detail that goes into keeping such high levels of cleanliness. However, staff were never too busy to smile and say hello!
With two children we spent a lot of time around the pool and witnessed the diligence of the lifeguards. The children's bubble pool got busy at times but the lifeguards ensured that all rules were followed and children used the inflatable bubble correctly to ensure that no one got injured. It was clear that safety was their main priority - well done and thank you for keeping everyone safe!
The food was amazing, such a good variety that was constantly being replenished and everything was delicious. I witnessed a number of people with allergies being shown what food was suitable for them and what to avoid. Anyone with allergies would not have to worry at this hotel. The cocktails were amazing and the night time staff made sure everyone was attended to right away. Thank you so much for being so attentive.
Finally, the entertainment staff were all fantastic offering a range of activities and really engaging with guests. The children's entertainment staff were particularly engaging and quickly remembered groups of children's names all at once.
We look forward to returning to this hotel and hope to upgrade to one of the rooms with a private pool next time! Thank you so much to the amazing staff for a fabulous stay!
Zafiro Bahía is a stunningly beautiful family hotel where children have a wonderful time and are very happy. The staff are service-minded, the place is clean and tidy, and the breakfast is fantastic. Mallorca—with its 0.9 million residents and 13.5 million tourists—struggles with greywater management; there can be a bit of an odor at night or in the morning, though hopefully the tourist tax (which is a perfectly fair fee) is being used to address this. If you turn left upon leaving the hotel, you will find a well-laid-out path at the end of the street, next to a garage complex; it runs between the road and the beach. The air is fresh and pleasantly cool here—perfect for a morning jog. The entrance is blocked by a chain to prevent cyclists from using the path; it is signposted as a no-dog zone and is intended as a walking path for pedestrians. The on-site ATM charges very, very high fees and offers poor exchange rates. If you plan to buy anything on the lovely beach from vendors—such as a sunbed with an umbrella, fruit, a blanket, sunglasses, a massage, etc.—payment is in cash, so it pays to bring Euros with you before arriving at the hotel. All the shops outside the hotel (convenience stores, eateries, pubs, etc.) are owned by the hotels and charge "hotel prices," even in the area immediately outside the hotel grounds. Bus 324 runs to Alcudia and takes about 30 minutes. You can pay by credit card (Santander is accepted, for instance, though some other cards can be finicky—it’s a good idea to carry 2–3 different cards); you simply tap for the number of adult passengers and tap once more when exiting the bus. It is possible to rent cars, ATVs, and pedal-powered quad bikes outside the hotel, and bicycles from the hotel.
Lovely hotel, clean and spacious and in a great location. We had a super time with our young family throughout our stay. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Kitchen staff and waitresses/waiters work hard and are very polite. Rooms are spacious, well maintained and cleaned daily. Big shout out to the reception staff who were very helpful and proffesional. Entertainment team were engaging, fun and kind. We would be happy to go back in the future.
