- Iberostar Alcudia Park

The family-friendly hotel has a perfect location in the Playa de Muro area, directly on the seemingly endless fine sandy beach and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Puerto de Alcudia with its shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues is about 6 km away. The airport lies some 60 km from the property. The hotel offers guest rooms with air conditioning, TV and a bathroom with bath amenities. The U-shaped hotel complex opens up towards the beach and surrounds a lovely pool landscape and a delightful garden area, offering security and privacy to its guests. While the children are being entertained at the club, parents can indulge in the spa. This is an ideal place for couples and families with children wishing to spend a beach holiday under the sun.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, including an indoor pool, a sauna and a seasonal outdoor pool. Additional amenities at this Mediterranean hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and an arcade/games room.
We stayed at this hotel twice. Two years ago, we had a really great experience — the food was very good, the entertainment was enjoyable, and overall the hotel offered a high standard.
Unfortunately, this year the experience was completely different. The quality has noticeably declined, and it feels like the hotel has started cutting costs in many areas. The food and entertainment were not nearly as good as before, and the overall standard was much lower.
It’s disappointing to see such a big change in just two years. Considering the current price, we definitely don’t think the hotel offers good value for money anymore. Based on our experience this year, we would not choose to return.
I stayed here last week with my husband and two boys (the eldest aged 4 and the youngest aged 8 months). Upon arrival after a long, late transfer, we were greeted with such friendly hospitality by Kevin. I work in the travel industry and have checked in to hundred of hotels - I must say that this is one of the warmest check in experiences I've ever had. We were welcomed with glasses of champagne, and snacks/drinks for the boys. Kevin's enthusiasm, thoroughness, and sincerity shone, despite the late hour - he is an asset to this hotel.
The pros of this hotel hugely outweigh the cons, and I have listed my highlights below:
We would absolutely consider returning to the Iberostar Waves Alcudia Park. However, I must mention two situations that were the only let downs of the holiday:
All in all, a wonderful week of sunshine and heaps of fun. Thanks to all of the staff for helping us make some solid core memories.
This is a really lovely hotel and, with a few minor improvements, it could be amazing! There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained, the pool areas are great, and the beachfront location is fantastic. Our kids absolutely loved the slides in the splash pool.
As with all the Iberostar hotels I’ve stayed at, the staff were fantastic and genuinely couldn’t do enough for you. They were always friendly, helpful and happy to assist.
The rooms were clean and well maintained. We did have a small ant problem on our first day, but this was dealt with very quickly and efficiently by the hotel.
One of the things I thought was absolutely genius was the room keys. They were little plastic tags attached to your wristband, with one for each member of the family. It made them virtually impossible to lose and was such a simple but brilliant idea!
If I had any minor criticisms, it would be that there didn’t seem to be enough staff at the pool bar, which meant it got very busy at times. The entertainment team were also great, but I do think the hotel would benefit from having a mini disco in the evening. Every other Iberostar I’ve stayed at has had one, and it gives younger children the chance to get involved in the evening entertainment without having to stay up too late.
Is this the best Iberostar I’ve stayed at? No. But is it a very nice family hotel in a fantastic beachfront location? Absolutely.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend it to families looking for a relaxing holiday with plenty to keep the kids entertained.
Unfortunately, our stay did not quite live up to our expectations.
Upon arrival, a baby cot promised in advance was missing from one of the rooms, and the air conditioning in the living area of the other room was not working. The following day, we discovered that the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms was also not functioning. The housekeeping was unsatisfactory as well; the room was not properly tidied or cleaned, and dirty glasses, among other things, were left behind.
We also experienced a very low level of service at the pool area. There was no assistance with sunbeds or parasols; guests had to move and carry everything themselves—including parasols and loungers that were stacked in high piles.
In general, we found the staff to be unhelpful. At one point, when we needed assistance from security, communication was difficult because the staff member did not understand English. However, we would like to highlight Ramiasz at the beach bar, who provided excellent, welcoming, and professional service.
Brilliant. What a hotel and welcome for 8 nights. This isn’t just a hotel, it’s a “family” of staff that creates memories for guests, daily and nightly. They really do go above and beyond at the Iberostar waves alcudia park to make your holiday special! Reception advised us with bus routes to Alcudia port and the best place to have a chance to view the solar eclipse, shout out to Miquel!
Our room for four was spacious with balcony, cleaned daily, and adequate for the holiday.
The area around the hotel is welcoming with a range of dining options within walking distance, the focus highlight is the stunning sandy beach and warm clean inviting sea that is a joy to swim in. Direct access from hotel too.
Swimming pool is superb, especially the underwater themed water slides, which kids (and adults) of all ages couldn’t get enough of. It certainly entertains and occupies! Poolside refreshments and entertainment excellent, many free drinks and snacks given out around the pool, which was a nice gesture.
Kids’ club and entertainers give their all in a safe environment, with a professional and varied program. Nightly themed entertainment was varied, impressive and popular with guests.
Now onto the food and restaurant buffet, to sum up, 5 star. It really was top, with themed cuisines each night. Waiting staff polite and professional. Delicious fresh food, cooked with love and care and served with a smile - all you could ask for. Buffet clean and as much or little as you wanted to eat.
Little cafe by reception was also a nice touch with iced coffees and milky coffees to sit in or take out.
We’ll return I’m sure, Iberostar really have “upped” the hotel game with what’s on offer at the Iberostar waves alcudia park.
