Excellent location with a lovely view. Places to eat and drink nearby, also well priced supermarket. Near a waterfront route for the bus and behind the hotel is the bus for the beautiful cala major beach. Nice 20 mins stroll to town on a night for food. Calm, spacious hotel. Free little drinks every day at the pool. Rooms We had 2 rooms. A very spacious accessible room that my teens shared, and a double. Both were very nice, air con worked well, decent size balcony. Nice buffet breakfast was as expected. Open for a decent length of time. Value is acceptable. It's expensive to go on holiday in August. Would recommend this hotel
Beautiful hotel, Marina across the road. We had breakfast included and the buffet breakfast is the best I’ve ever had, even better than at a US Casino. Pool is great and was able to find a chair every day. Towels are plentiful. Room is clean, has fridge and they provide water bottles every day. Spacious balcony. Close to Gelato and corner stores.
The bed was very uncomfortable (sagged from side-to-side and lengthwise in the middle). I was promised a replacement, which never came. City view meant a view of the neighboring building’s wall. The food was good, though.
Avoid this hotel – absolutely not a 4-star experience
I would strongly recommend avoiding Hotel Palma Bellver. Based on our experience, this hotel is nowhere near the standard I would expect from a 4-star property. At best, it felt like a 2–3 star hotel.
The most shocking part of our stay was the hotel’s response to a serious health and safety issue.
When we checked in, there was broken glass left on the floor of one of our rooms. A family member stepped on it and was injured. We immediately contacted reception to report what had happened. Despite the obvious safety risk, it took approximately 50 minutes before someone came to remove the broken glass.
Even more concerning, the blood from the injury was left on the floor and was not properly cleaned. There was no apology, no real concern and no meaningful response from the hotel. For a supposed 4-star hotel, this level of negligence and lack of customer care is completely unacceptable.
And unfortunately, this was not an isolated problem.
The recurring theme throughout our stay was a complete lack of urgency and customer service. Problems were reported, but there was little sense that anyone was particularly concerned about resolving them quickly or properly.
A 4-star hotel should provide a clean, well-maintained and safe environment, with staff who take guest complaints seriously. That was simply not our experience here.
The location may be convenient, but that does not make up for poor cleanliness, inadequate maintenance, inconsistent housekeeping, pest issues and, most importantly, the unacceptable handling of a guest injury caused by broken glass.
Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else in Palma. I certainly would not return to this hotel.
Suited us for a long weekend. The pool was very welcome and the hotel clean and convenient for the Old Town, Marina, Cathedral, city etc. A very short taxi to and from the airport too, just ten minutes.
Couple of complaints, do not get a standard room, they all seem to have steps running from the main promenade up to the city running alongside the bedrooms. You are woken up all night long by groups of revellers of all nationalities going back home loudly shouting within inches of your window. Check in was sooooo slow. Other than that, a decent place.
