Very good location Like the food in the pool bar We enjoyed the beach and the sun beds The beach wasn’t that great but it was ok The pool was full of people We loved the rooms but there is no door in the shower the bathroom was open in the room so no privacy in the shower. but it was a very nice renovated rooms. The lobby needs to be renovated. We enjoyed our stay
Great hotel.staff were amazing .room was modern and clean ,every day it was cleaned by the hard working cleaners .spar and gym were well equipped and modern .the life guard was brilliant making sure people who weren't staying didn't sneak in from the beach .we would definitely stay here again .5 stars all round from us
Very good hotel, rooms, facilities, food, and especially the staff who were exceptional.
Pool and beach were a little crowded and constrained into a very small area would be our only criticism.
A great hotel. Good location, ideal for Palma Nova and Porta Portals. You can walk to both but ideally a short taxi ride - approx €8 to Portals.
The pool area is good, plenty of beds, surrounded by lawn, overlooking the beach. There is a nice pool bar for drinks and snacks, or the slightly more formal dining and bar area where you get table service. The staff here were particularly good.
Generally the Staff are all good, very friendly and helpful. Although they don’t serve you tea or coffee at breakfast, you have to get your own.
This is our second stay, this time we went for a room with a large terrace and 2 sunbeds. The room was a good size, with a nice walking glass walled shower cubicle. There is an electric blind between it and the bedroom if you want to protect your modesty.
There were a few minor downsides to the room. All easily sorted. I sometimes wonder if any of the female management team have ever stayed in one of the rooms because they are not set up for female guests.
The room never had any long drop hanging space. So my wife’s dresses had to hang on the only hook available which was in the toilet or hang in the wardrobe where the bottom 20 inches were folded and creased against the shelves. This would be easy to sort. You could move the safe and its shelf and have one full length hanging space.
There was no dressing table mirror so any hair drying or make up application had to be done in the bathroom area which gets hot and steamy. Even a free standing table mirror would have been an improvement.
Finally they should change the sensor light in the toilet. It was a pain having to wave your hands around to get the light to come back on. If there was no movement it went off after 20 seconds to darkness.
None of the above are major issues but with simple adjustments would improve the experience.
Breakfast was buffet with a very good selection well worth having.
We didn’t eat of an evening in the hotel, but it was three courses for 27€ so excellent value.
We will definitely stay again and would recommend it. It had a fairly young vibe, with families and young children to smart young couples and singles using it as a base for the more lively Magaluf and Palma Nova. So the atmosphere was always nice and lively.
It’s pretty close to perfect… just a few minor tweaks.
We have just returned from Son Caliu, we are a family of 4 so had 2 rooms as our eldest is 18. Rooms are lovely, very comfortable bed and cleaned everyday. Mini fridge but you have to pay for the drinks in there. Pillows not great but find that wherever we stay. I didn’t like the fact they had transparent doors to the toilet and shower. I didn’t mind watching my husband shower but having a poo, I would rather see behind closed doors. My daughters were the same, didn’t want to see each other showering or using the toilet. Maybe a blind for some privacy would be good.
The hotel is only an 8 minute walk from the centre but wow there are some steep hills to climb. We found the centre very busy, you had to queue for a table at most restaurants. LA American diner was our favourite, we went twice. Everything from burger, kebabs, quesadillas and fajitas. Frozen stein for 7.50 euros as well but book the day before.
Staff at the hotel are lovely always greet you will an hello and a smile.
Pool area is lovely even in August you can always get a sunbed. They do say no food or refreshments offsite but we bought Mahou from the local Lidl 12x 7.89 euros and they didn’t say anything to us. Beers are about 7 euros from the bar and cocktails about 9 euros but only half a glass with a pina colada.
We were b&b and it wasn’t the best breakfast we have had. If you like fruit and cereal then it’s perfect for you but we like a cooked breakfast and not a lot of choice. Omelette station was available. Our girls loved the pancakes and Nutella on tap. A cooked breakfast was chips, eggs (scrambled, fried or boiled) bacon, chorizo sausage, beans and some kind of vegetable.
We had 1 day of rain (in August 😢) we took cover under the umbrella until we got fed up and went to the Spa. You get your own locker to put your belongings in which was great because we had all our towels etc. sauna, steam room and indoor pool - was lovely! Recommend if you have a rainy day.
We had a late pick up so we had no room from 12pm. We carried on our day by the pool and used the spa for a shower and to freshen up which was brilliant.
We would recommend this hotel but we won’t be returning as we do prefer the other side near Magaluf. More restaurants to choose from for our liking.
Thanks for a great stay though
