I had a poor experience with reception just before I left. We were getting picked up at about 7:00am on Saturday morning (12th Sept) so I thought I’d return my pool towels the night before. I took them down at 7:00pm on Friday. There was just the one receptionist on, a young man, unfortunately I didn’t get his name. He took my receipt, punched something in his computer and disappeared in the room behind the reception. Came back after a couple of minutes and said I would have to bring them back in the morning. I enquired why and explained we were being picked up early. He refused to give a reason and was adamant he was not going to return my deposit, so I had to take them back to my room before I went to dinner. Anyway I returned them again at about 6:55am the following morning in the way to our pick up. A different receptionist was on duty this time, another young man, Jamie. I quickly found out why the first receptionist was so unhelpful and wanted to pass the buck on to one of his colleagues. Because Jamie told me this particular refund had already been made, oddly on the same day I rented the towels. I pointed out I still had the towels and the receipt. Jamie was as confused as me, especially when I explained the previous night’s conversation to him. To be honest I was about to take them home with me. But luckily for me Jamie (unlike his colleague) was conscientious and pragmatic. He agreed to refund my deposit and look into it after I had gone home. Thank you Jamie
Just finished a week stay at the hotel. Hotel was insanely busy for September and it felt as though they couldn’t keep it clean due to this. Our room was dirty and not well cleaned. The walls were all marked. Our air conditioning unit was filthy when we arrived and therefore complained to reception they told me they would get somebody to clean it. They did not for 2 whole days and the result of this me and my partner became poorly and continued to feel this way the full duration of the stay. The rooms were very loud which made it hard to sleep. Food was rubbish and token and cup system seemed pointless and was annoying during out stay. sun only hits one pool and therefore made the pool at sol 2 very busy and hard to get sun beds. Overall unhappy with the experience and would not return.
Just come back from week holiday the room was cleaned every day the food was good. Staff was friendly and polite definitely come back again
I’m Gluton Free and was disappointed by the food. They had a pack of GF bread but no dedicated toaster. Jelly and Mousse was the only dessert I could have. Two choices of a cake that was really oily. The beds where only 2’6” not slept in such a small bed in years. Staff very friendly apart from the lady doing eggs for breakfast🤣🤣
Arrived from Belfast with jet 2 11-09 until 18-9 no issues travelling although waited well over an hour for luggage . Check in at hotel was easy and asked for upgrade for room with the solarium balcony but none available until the Monday told to call back . We also upgraded to the all inclusive plus/gold 2 adults 2 kids & £349 which also included the room tax . We had stayed this hotel 2 years ago and enjoyed the AL plus/gold but this occasion was a waste of money tbh , the frozen cocktails they done before they don’t do now , I did ask for premium cocktail & haven’t a clue what they give me but I didn’t drink it . There is only so many packets crisps & icecream/lollies you can eat in a day plus we don’t drink lot alcohol so the upgrade was a flop & waste money for us ! We had a family room and was decent enough but no bath just a shower and we had a large balcony over looking the street at front hotel sol1 . Hotel is very clean and staff are very attentive especially around the kids club which our grandkids enjoyed ( aged 4 & 10 ) . Monday we did get an upgrade to solarium room €64 mon-fri which we were happy with . I felt the room was smaller but had a bath (no plug ) and the grass balcony area over looking the pool was worth the extra money . The pools were fine and we always got a sunbed whatever time of the day . The food I felt has went down hill a lot , the hot selection isn’t great , if you eat lot salad , bread & fruit you be grand , we ate out for main meals . I love location of this hotel but for us this trip will be our last staying here .
