Meh

I want to start by saying that the hotel isn’t terrible like some of the other reviews suggest. It’s just not amazing either. In my opinion, it is definitely not a 4-star hotel I’d say 2, 3 stars at a big push.

The pool

The pool is far too small for the size of the hotel. The hotel has replied to other reviews saying that the pool is an adequate size, which I completely disagree with.

With around 35 people in the pool, it already feels overcrowded, and the hotel holds around 600 guests. You simply can’t properly enjoy your time in there. It’s basically human soup you can float around in one tiny area until either you bump into someone or someone bumps into you.

The “children’s pool” is hilarious. I’ve seen bigger puddles. 😂 The strange thing is that it’s a complete suntrap, so the area is often taken over by adults, which is particularly odd considering it’s supposed to be the little kids’ area.

Animation team

The animation team work really hard and are genuinely great, but it feels like they don’t have enough backing from the hotel.

There are hardly any activities compared with other hotels I’ve stayed at. We were there for two weeks and did the same quiz four times. 😂

That’s absolutely nothing against the animation team themselves, they were fantastic. It just feels like they don’t have enough resources or variety to work with.

Evening entertainment

The evening entertainment is pretty average too. You get a different singer most nights, but they seem to sing the same songs, so after a while it becomes very repetitive.

There are a couple of exceptions though. Man of Mallorca and the soul guys were fantastic and were definitely highlights of the evening entertainment.

The bars

There is only one main bar, which becomes a problem when the hotel gets busy in the evening. You can end up queueing for quite a while for drinks, especially when there are only one or two people serving.

One of the bar staff also seems genuinely annoyed whenever you ask him for a drink, almost as if the drinks are coming out of his personal stash. 😂

They also advertise a pool bar during the day. I’m not entirely sure what happened to it, but judging by its appearance, I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been open since 1974.

Food

The food is average at best. The choice is quite limited and the food area itself is tiny.

The “hot” food is only hot if you time it perfectly. Otherwise, it’s mainly lukewarm, which isn’t exactly what you’re hoping for when you’ve gone to get a hot meal.

Fussy eaters are pretty much screwed. My son is a fussy eater and spent two weeks eating mainly chips and bread at the evening meal. Thankfully, there are plenty of great restaurants down by the beach, so there are alternatives.

The dining area itself is also far too small for the number of people using it. They’ve squeezed as many tables as possible into the space, meaning you’re constantly either in someone else’s way or having someone in yours. People are knocking into tables, knocking food around and generally trying to navigate what feels like an obstacle course.

The staff clearing tables also take up quite a lot of space and can be quite noisy, with cutlery crashing and plates banging. It all adds to an already cramped dining experience.

The shining light: the snack bar

The daytime snack bar is probably the shining light of the hotel.

They have burgers, hot dogs, pizza, chips and loads of other snacks, and everything is regularly replenished throughout the day. You can also help yourself to drinks, which is actually a much better option than using the main bar during the day.

This was easily one of the better parts of the all-inclusive offering.

The rooms

The rooms are tiny.

There were three of us in the room and, once you have the beds and suitcases in there, you can barely move. The wardrobe is actually very spacious, which is probably the one area of the room where they remembered people bring clothes on holiday. 😂

The bathroom is pretty average, although the positioning of the toilet is particularly bad. I’m 6’7” and have very long legs, so using it is incredibly awkward. You have to sit at an angle because the toilet is shoved into the corner with a bit of wall sticking out. Not exactly the luxury bathroom experience.

The air conditioning is also woeful. It spits out a small amount of cool air, and when you first walk into the room it feels nice for about 30 seconds. Then you’re hot again.

Maid service is hit and miss. Most of the time the rooms were cleaned well and towels were replenished, but on other days they weren’t. We were also regularly given only two towels for three people.

Our room card stopped working eight times during the stay, which is particularly frustrating when your room feels like it’s approximately three miles away from reception.

Wi-Fi

The free Wi-Fi is a nice touch, but it only seems to work properly in reception, which is rather frustrating.

Overall

The biggest issue with this hotel is that everything feels like it’s struggling to cope with the number of people it holds.

The corridors are tiny, the dining area is cramped, the pool is far too small, there’s only one main bar and everywhere just feels busy and overcrowded. You constantly feel like you’re either in someone else’s way or someone is in yours.

If you have children, I would seriously consider looking for another hotel that caters for them better. I was part of a group with children aged 4, 10 and 14, and there were very few activities for them. Combine that with the tiny, overcrowded pool and things become boring very quickly.

To me, this hotel feels like it was designed for people staying 3–5 nights, rather than for a two-week holiday. We stayed for two weeks and, unfortunately, it just wasn’t enjoyable for us.

There are definitely positives the snack bar, some of the entertainment and the hard-working animation team being the main ones but overall, it simply isn’t worth the money in my opinion.

I won’t be staying here again, and if you’re travelling with younger children, I would massively avoid this hotel. It just doesn’t seem equipped to properly cater for them, or for the number of guests it is trying to accommodate.

Never been a 4 star hotel

Currently spending 2 weeks here, into our second week now its absolutely never been a 4 star hotel, ive stayed in better 2 star hotels in the past. Food very basic and cold most of the time, pool is tiny, air-conditioning just blows warm air out, on arrival you get 1 token per person for a drink and have to have the plastic glass with you every time you would like a drink, even at 7pm whilst waiting for the restaurant otherwise you cant even get a drink, only good thing about this hotel is its relatively close to the beach were you will find lots of nice bars and restaurants. Wouldn't stay here again if it was free.

TripAdvisor Review
Very disappointing stay – not the 4-star experience advertised

We stayed at this hotel expecting the standard of a 4-star all-inclusive, but unfortunately it fell well below our expectations in almost every area.

The biggest issue was the air conditioning. It was by far the worst air conditioning we have experienced in any hotel and was barely capable of cooling the room even when it was supposedly working. It then completely failed for approximately 24 hours during our stay. The room became unbearably hot, leaving us with almost no sleep and affecting the enjoyment of the following day. What is particularly frustrating is that I have since seen another review from guests staying at the same time mentioning exactly the same problem, yet the hotel publicly replied stating there were no air conditioning issues that week. That is simply untrue. I have an email from TUI confirming there was an air conditioning fault at the hotel, and I personally reported it to reception several times, where staff also acknowledged the problem.

The room itself was extremely small. There wasn’t enough floor space for two standard suitcases, there was only one bedside plug socket, the toilet cistern constantly ran, and the rooms are very dated and in need of refurbishment.

Soundproofing was also extremely poor. We could clearly hear guests in the next room having a normal conversation between around 2am and 6am, making it very difficult to sleep.

The Wi-Fi provided is barely usable for anything beyond sending text messages. If you want an internet connection capable of streaming or browsing properly, you have to pay extra. That seemed to be a recurring theme throughout the hotel – many things you would reasonably expect to be included came with an additional charge.

The all-inclusive drinks were also disappointing. The vodka tasted unlike any vodka we have previously had, and three of us independently commented on it. A member of the bar staff advised it was only 30% ABV, which may explain the unusual taste. Ice cream wasn’t included during the day either unless you paid over €3.

There were several hygiene and operational issues too. The reception toilets ran out of hand soap at around 6pm, and when reported we were told it could not be replenished until the following day. In a busy hotel, that is simply unacceptable. On our first day we were also told by reception that we were not allowed to fill our reusable water bottles, only the small disposable cups provided. Considering the weather and environmental concerns, this policy makes little sense.

Food was another disappointment. The hotel advertises a wide variety of food, but in reality there were generally only three or four main dishes available (plus side dishes) with a repetitive menu throughout the week. I have photographs from multiple days which accurately show the limited selection. The snack bar frequently wasn’t replenished, beer run out for 24 hours of our stay in the snack bar and there were very few simple food options suitable for children in the restaurant.

One thing that genuinely concerned me was that beer and wine taps were freely accessible, with no apparent supervision or control, meaning children could potentially help themselves.

Around the pool there were often large numbers of wasps, sometimes around 20 at a time, which made sitting or eating outside uncomfortable.

The entertainment was also repetitive. Most evenings revolved around the same “Guess the Song” style games rather than providing varied evening entertainment expected from a hotel of this size.

Finally, although not every member of staff was unfriendly, enough interactions felt abrupt or dismissive that it became noticeable. I have since read many other reviews making exactly the same observation. While management often replies that this isn’t representative, when the same feedback appears repeatedly from unrelated guests it suggests there may be a genuine issue worth addressing.

Overall, this hotel simply did not deliver the quality expected of a 4-star all-inclusive. Much of what I’ve written is based on factual, verifiable issues rather than opinion, and where appropriate I have photographs and correspondence to support my comments. We rarely leave negative reviews, but we genuinely would not return or recommend this hotel.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at

We recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it was the worst hotel we have ever experienced. It advertises itself as a child-friendly hotel, but our experience was the complete opposite.

There were no baby changing facilities anywhere in the hotel. When we asked reception where we could change our baby, we were told to do it on the floor, which was completely unacceptable.

The food was repetitive, often cold, and not suitable for young children. To make matters worse, when we asked for a high chair for our son, we were handed a price list and told we would have to pay to hire one. Charging families to use a high chair in a hotel that claims to be family-friendly is unbelievable.

Each evening, we needed our son's milk warming up, but the bar staff were consistently rude and reluctant to help. My partner had to ask several times before anyone would warm it for us. This is a basic request that should be accommodated without hesitation, especially in a family-oriented hotel.

The staff throughout the hotel were generally unfriendly and unhelpful. The rooms were very dated and in need of refurbishment, and the entertainment was poor and disappointing.

Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families with young children. The hotel falls far short of the standards it advertises, and we certainly would not return.
