Dont ever go in this hotel. The worse hotel ever. Reception is not helpfull at all, they are nonchalant, they dont know anything, shame on them for just saying “we dont know”. All of them. For almost 24h we didnt have wifi. Now the aircondition isnt working and its very hot in hotel and rooms. They dont seem to care. We cannot sleep its very hot. Rooms are small you cannot put suitcases in. There is no mini bar, no ketler, no toiletries- cotton pads, glasses, shower cap, slippers, robes. Nothing. They charged us 20euros to get “earlier” in room. Check in was at 15:00h and we payed at 14:30 because we were exhausted. They are taking deposit for towels and everytime you want to change towel it is 1e per towel. Kids animation doesnt exist. Just mini disco for 20minutes. How can this happen in 4 star hotel? Food isnt bad, but its always the same. This is the worst hotel we have ever been. And its very expensive for the poor service. Shame on you. This things ruined our vacation.
Don't go in this hotel. The worse hotel that we ever been.
In first place we picked this hotel, because it's in Melia "family" and last year we were in another Melia hotel and it was amazing, but this one was HUGE MISTAKE.
Reception is not helpful at all, they are nonchalant. We asked for spare pillows 3 times until they gave us. The air-conditioning isn't working properly and it's very hot in all hotel and rooms. Reported that it's very hot in our room many times, but nothing. They don't seem to care. We couldn't sleep it was very hot. We ended up buying big fan for our room from the shops. The shower also had an issue where water leaked onto the bathroom floor every time it was used.
Very noisy as many young people staying in this hotel.
The room is dated but ok and it was cleaned daily, new towels daily, new bedding every 2 days. Small fridge and safe but no ketler in the room. Handwash, body wash and 2in1 shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.
The food was okay, but repetitive. The quality of the food is not for 4 star hotel definitely, because we had situation with raw meat, not cooked rice, wrong recipes (Caesar salad with black olives and eggs in, soaked in sauce) etc. been refused to cook our eggs for longer as we don't like them runny. Most of the staff barely knows english. No drinks at dinner time, so you have to buy from the bar or you are only allow to bring a water from outside. Prices not the best - 500ml water 3 euro not very cheap for a big family.
We also had a problem with the transfer, we received not very clear instructions from the transfer company. On the massage as a collection point was pointed MAIN DOOR, so we were 10 mins earlier at the front of the hotel by the MAIN DOOR, next to reception, were the parking spaces and smoking area are. Stood there for good 30 min and nobody came. I went to reception to ask them what MAIN DOOR means for them and is there any other door at this hotel, and they told me apparently it's outside the hotel primacies, behind the barrier, basically on the streat. Absolutely shocking. We have never been in situation like this. So we missed our transfer and had to pay for a taxi to take us to the Airport.
Pool is big, but not enough sunbeds. If you are on time when they opening at 10am you can get sunbed otherwise very difficult. Very slippery floor around the pool, so be careful!
Only positive for us was great location about a 5 mins walk from the beach and 10-15 mins to the Magaluf strip.
We had never encountered anything like it before. We will never go back to this hotel because this is the worst hotel for us so far. How can this be a 4 star hotel, more like a 2 star!?
Pros Welcoming, friendly, professional and hardworking staff. The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout, with constant cleaning and upkeep. Plenty of fun activities for children around the pool, including an inflatable obstacle course, water bouncy castles and paddle boards. The food was good, always hot, with a great variety and selection. Fantastic, clean pools catering for everyone, with plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and chairs. Excellent room cleaning service. Beds were made regularly, and towels, toilet rolls, shampoo and soap were all replenished promptly. Excellent location, with everything you need on your doorstep or within a 2–10 minute walk, including supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars, the beach and the main strip. Fantastic family-friendly atmosphere around the pool throughout the day. Very comfortable beds and amazing pillows — we all slept really well! Excellent modern, clean and powerful shower. Excellent, easy-to-use air conditioning. Cons The rooms and balconies are quite small, which was a little disappointing. However, we were out most of the time, so it didn't really affect our stay. The pool area can become slippery, so a little extra care is needed. The pool doesn't open until 10:00am. We only discovered this later and feel 9:00am would be ideal. There can occasionally be younger groups staying at the hotel. They tend to sleep during the day and go out at night, so there was sometimes a little noise from rooms while they were getting ready in the evening. However, they soon left and it didn't affect our stay. Overall We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families. The staff were fantastic, the hotel was exceptionally clean, the food was good and the location was excellent. Despite the smaller rooms and a few minor issues, these didn't detract from our holiday.
We would happily return!
Wouldn’t recommend tbh very unsafe hotel coming back between 1am and 6am there were no staff on reception no one to be seen on all 5 nights so literally anybody could just walk in at night they have 0 security (good if u want to sneak people in tho haha) in the day I got talking to this guy who I thought was staying at the hotel turned out him and his mates were sleeping on the ROOF for 5 nights (nobody noticed) and stealing peoples wrist bands for the clubs which is just crazy to me I’ve stayed in magaluf before n every other hotel has security and they check your room number before letting you in we walked in to a completely empty lobby every night without fail rooms were really dirty cleaners only changed bedding and things kept going missing from our room hotel staff were all quite rude apart from the bar staff and lifeguards the power went out 5 times during our stay one was when we arrived and had to carry 23kg suitcase and 3 big bags up 5 flights of stairs nobody even offered to help us we were told to go up and wait in the corridor but nobody came so had to walk all the way back down then back up n wait longer there was no running water from the tap or shower so couldn’t even freshen up after travelling all day and received no apology for this other people staying at the hotel said it’s been going on and off all week the pool area was okay the entertainment staff were all great not enough sun loungers for the amount of people staying there but not the worse I’ve seen do yourself a favour n spend the extra money to stay somewhere better

Really enjoyed our stay at the Sol Guadalupe...Couldn't ask for a better location (Short walk to the shops, beach, bars, restaurant's)
The hotel it's self..
The staff on reception were really friendly and helpful and if they couldn't answer they would find out the answers to any questions.
Hotel itself was extremely clean and tidy (Only thing I spotted was the mat outside the main door could be a trip hazard as was quite badly damaged!!) there is also 4 lifts, there are also ramps for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility.
The room itself was for us a little on the small side with single beds and a chair that can fold into a bed if a third person was staying also a small fridge which does its job!! the safe in the room is free to use (Don't see that very often).. No doors on the built in wardrobes so that got a bit of getting used to and there were plenty coathangers!!) The beds were really comfortable for us anyway!!... The bathroom had everything supplied (Shower gel, Shampoo/conditioner, hand soap and hair dryer which is a great touch),
The balcony was a good size, I think 4 adults would fit on it quite comfortably!!
Cleanliness of the rooms was fantastic, the cleaning team are fantastic, nothing was too much for them and they liked to have a laugh and banter (which we really enjoy), There is a tv on the wall in the room (we don't know what channels as we didn't go to watch tv!!)
Outside.. A very large pool (not the deepest but deep enough) plenty of seating from chairs to loungers (There are rules of the pool which in fairness makes using the pool more enjoyable for everyone!!), there is a kiddie pool seperate to the main pool, Plenty to join in with in and around the pool.... again extremely clean and tidy and there is also a lift to help get people in and out of the pool
The restaurant, This area is huge (would have to be for the size of hotel) lots of tables
Breakfast... just the usual breakfast stuff... well we did laugh when there was one day a tray of carrots, another day, Brussel sprouts the the third day Cauliflower!!
The evening meal was a really good standard of food something different each day (we were there for 1 week) the food in the bain marie' s were regularly topped up/changed and there was also fresh food being cooked on hotplates all food was very flavoursome (depending what time you go for food it may not be as hot as is could be but still really good).... Only potential problem I noticed was the lack of staff on the dining room floor as there were a lot of tables with dirty plates left for quite a while (we understand the dining room staff only have one pair of hands so its not a critisism as they all worked really hard..we did take our dirty plates/bowls to the station and cleared them ourselves (didn't even take two minutes of our time so didn't have a problem with that...the saying "Many hands make light work" comes to mind!!!!).
Absolutely everyone of the staff members were really nice/helpful/courteous/friendly
All in all we had a great stay and for us only one real negative..which I suppose isn't really a negative!!
Would we stay at the Sol Guadalupe again... 100% yes (Would like a pool view next time)
Again thank you... Until next time!!
