Room 357 absolutely awful not 4 stars more like 1 !!!!! Poor from so called Melia.
The hotel was fabulous. The rooms & whole hotel was spotless , the team by the pool had so many games & activities for us to get involved in. The accommodation team were amazing & we’re on the ball with servicing our room. The only thing I would say negative was that the sheets weren’t changed throughout our 5 night stay & reception could have been a bit more friendly they don’t have very much English & weren’t interested in going into detail with our questions they were very much to the point. However that would defo not stop us from coming back as it was a brilliant holiday.
We were extremely disappointed as we expected a 4star, the hotel was definitely not up to standard for a 4 star We checked in late at night on the first floor , the room had a dreadful smell, wasn’t clean and there was dead ants in the bed , we went down to reception and all he could offer us was a room on the 9th floor for an extra €167.00 The following morning we complained again , lady changed us to the room next door , as we were moving our luggage the maid was mopping the room and there was a man in there filling in chips in the shelving , so our floor was wet and there was wet filler on the shelf, we just made do as we weren’t spending much time there •Rooms were not well maintained or cleaned •Breakfast was fine - restaurant itself was quite grubby, outdated and seemed dirty - impossible to get a table too •Pool area was average - not up to 4star •Sunbeds were grubby and many of them broken - you had to be there at 9am to leave a towel if you wanted a sunbed •Staff were unhelpful and unpleasant, we never felt welcome - nobody asked us about our stay when we checked out •We overheard several people complaining to staff during our stay also • for the price of it you should be getting much better standards in every way Hotel should be 3 star at best maybe even 2 DEFINITELY WONT HE BACK
Terrible & total rip off ! Despite our room being ready we had to pay 20€ to acces it 2 hrs early. I notice the till stated 'upselling'. Receptionist tried to sell us a short corridor room for €136pp as an alternative for early check in. Filthy dirty around dirty pool and in mosaic tiles. The overflow drain plastic got cleaned but could not believe it was put back in.the trough which was covered in thick green/black debris. Pool area & shower never washed nor were sunbeds, tables or parasol bases washed. Just squirted with a hose. Restaurant is severly lacking in staff. Had to clear and clean our own table. Food wasnt great. Not real slices of bacon and recycled stuff from lunch served at dinner. Chef on fried eggs was accommodating but one called Moja was very rude. On one occasion, despite my insistence to use a clean pan he went to cook my spaghetti in a pan used for carbonara when I asked for bolognese. Lifeguard in his mobile missed a woman having a fit. Had to shout at him to get off his phone then he panicked. All 4 lifts were put of order for nearly a whole day. The maintenance is shocking. Watched a piece of tile being stuck down with silicone. Not smoothed just a squiggle. Pool table covered in leaves & dirt. Table tennis table net rusted.
Good location only 5 mins walk from the beach, 10 mins stagger from the strip 🤣 very clean hotel, nice pool area although we went to the beach most days (€20.50 for 2 sunbeds and parasol) room was a decent size, tv on the wall, mini fridge and a sea view from the balcony, nice shower inc shower gel, hairdryer. Breakfast is typical Spanish hotel self service with mostly what you'd want. Including an omelette station. Check in and out was hassle free. Would stay again if we came back.
