Don't go in this hotel. The worse hotel that we ever been.
In first place we picked this hotel, because it's in Melia "family" and last year we were in another Melia hotel and it was amazing, but this one was HUGE MISTAKE.
Reception is not helpful at all, they are nonchalant. We asked for spare pillows 3 times until they gave us. The air-conditioning isn't working properly and it's very hot in all hotel and rooms. Reported that it's very hot in our room many times, but nothing. They don't seem to care. We couldn't sleep it was very hot. We ended up buying big fan for our room from the shops. The shower also had an issue where water leaked onto the bathroom floor every time it was used.
Very noisy as many young people staying in this hotel.
The room is dated but ok and it was cleaned daily, new towels daily, new bedding every 2 days. Small fridge and safe but no ketler in the room. Handwash, body wash and 2in1 shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.
The food was okay, but repetitive. The quality of the food is not for 4 star hotel definitely, because we had situation with raw meat, not cooked rice, wrong recipes (Caesar salad with black olives and eggs in, soaked in sauce) etc. been refused to cook our eggs for longer as we don't like them runny. Most of the staff barely knows english. No drinks at dinner time, so you have to buy from the bar or you are only allow to bring a water from outside. Prices not the best - 500ml water 3 euro not very cheap for a big family.
We also had a problem with the transfer, we received not very clear instructions from the transfer company. On the massage as a collection point was pointed MAIN DOOR, so we were 10 mins earlier at the front of the hotel by the MAIN DOOR, next to reception, were the parking spaces and smoking area are. Stood there for good 30 min and nobody came. I went to reception to ask them what MAIN DOOR means for them and is there any other door at this hotel, and they told me apparently it's outside the hotel primacies, behind the barrier, basically on the streat. Absolutely shocking. We have never been in situation like this. So we missed our transfer and had to pay for a taxi to take us to the Airport.
Pool is big, but not enough sunbeds. If you are on time when they opening at 10am you can get sunbed otherwise very difficult. Very slippery floor around the pool, so be careful!
Only positive for us was great location about a 5 mins walk from the beach and 10-15 mins to the Magaluf strip.
We had never encountered anything like it before. We will never go back to this hotel because this is the worst hotel for us so far. How can this be a 4 star hotel, more like a 2 star!?
Dont ever go in this hotel. The worse hotel ever. Reception is not helpfull at all, they are nonchalant, they dont know anything, shame on them for just saying “we dont know”. All of them. For almost 24h we didnt have wifi. Now the aircondition isnt working and its very hot in hotel and rooms. They dont seem to care. We cannot sleep its very hot. Rooms are small you cannot put suitcases in. There is no mini bar, no ketler, no toiletries- cotton pads, glasses, shower cap, slippers, robes. Nothing. They charged us 20euros to get “earlier” in room. Check in was at 15:00h and we payed at 14:30 because we were exhausted. They are taking deposit for towels and everytime you want to change towel it is 1e per towel. Kids animation doesnt exist. Just mini disco for 20minutes. How can this happen in 4 star hotel? Food isnt bad, but its always the same. This is the worst hotel we have ever been. And its very expensive for the poor service. Shame on you. This things ruined our vacation.
Here is an honest review on our return. We were a family of 4, Two adults with two 16 year old girls. This hotel is great. In a perfect location 5 mi s fro. the beach and 10 from the main strip. The BIGGEST asset this hotel have is the reps!!!! What charismatic, hard working fun loving g people they are!!! I. all.the years i have travelled i have not come across such enthusiasm and work ethic as these guys. So Guadaloupe I hope you appreciate what a wo derful entertainment team you have!!! Alsome!!!!
Travelled with my mum and my almost 4 year old son. Requested a high floor pool view room and I wasn't disappointed - (7th floor). Room: Basic but fit for purpose, to be honest we were only really in our room to get ready, and to sleep so the fact that it was a little cosy wasn't an issue for us. Small fridge which was ok, could have done with a larger one to store more cold drinks and snacks etc for my son but we made it work. Cleaners were fab, always very friendly and polite. Somewhat noisy in the early hours of the morning but it's part and parcel of booking a hotel in Magaluf. We had a few young groups staying on our floor which wasn't an issue, just a little noisy from time to time, nothing major. They were nice enough youngsters, always interacted with my son whenever we were passing in the hall etc, saying hello & giving hi-5's.
Food: Breakfast, perfect...everything you could want HOWEVER, only serving Spanish bacon (not so much of an issue for us, just worth knowing) Dinner, can be somewhat repetitive but the salad cart is 10/10, I had salads most evenings along with either pizza, fish or whatever meat was being served on the day. Deserts are what you would expect in an all inclusive - yogurts, ice cream, cake, cheese and biscuits, fruit and more. You need to purchase drinks at dinner, of which i would personally say are reasonably priced... I'm not sure why some people tend to complain - was ok for us! Restaurant staff are amazing - all very pleasant and helpful, very good with all the children and no request is too much, they were all always happy to help.
Pools: 1 small baby pool, extremely shallow, ideal for babies/very small children 1 medium pool, this is where i was for my entire week, my little boy loved this pool because it was shallow enough for him to stand but deep enough he could swim.... 1 large pool, used for all adult activities etc and round by the bar, can get a little lively but at the same time it doesn't affect any of the families who are based around the two smaller pools. I will just note - the lifeguards on duty always looked moody :(
Entertainment: Day time pool entertainment, cannot comment as i wasn't involved but it sounded like a lot of fun (more for adults & older children) Kids club, usually for 5+ years i believe, however as i stayed during term time, majority of the children were not of school age - this meant that the kids club were open to entertaining the smaller children. I cannot give the two ladies from the kids club enough credit, they were AMAZING!! So good with the children, played games in the pool, done colouring in the hut, playing with water guns, activities in the middle pool and one afternoon they even prepared and cooked pizza with the children... my son absolutely loved it!!
Evening entertainment: For kids, a little later that i would personally like, started around 9pm... it was good fun but after a day of swimming and activities by nearly 4 year old was tired come the evening so we only managed to get down for this once during our week stay, 09:30pm onwards the hotel have shows and performances - in the lounge area inside, sounded great but again, cant really comment due to the timings. This is my third visit to this hotel and I have just booked to stay here again in October with a friend for a few nights on the basis that it's a lovely hotel, super affordable, perfect location and just all round great!
P.S - Check in is from 3pm so if you have an early morning flight/early arrival - be prepared for a wait... some people get lucky and can get in once their room is ready (before 3pm) but as a general rule, check is at 3pm so bare this in mind :)
Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately disappointing.
The hotel itself feels quite dated. We arrived around midnight, and the receptionist was not very welcoming and came across as rather rude, which wasn’t the best start to our holiday.
The walls seem paperthin, and you can hear absolutely everything happening in the corridors. Although we requested a room change, we were still placed next to the lift (hotel was fully booked we were told) so the constant noise made it almost impossible to sleep.I barely slept during our entire stay.
The room itself was decent, but the beds were uncomfortable. The shower also had an issue where water leaked onto the bathroom floor every time it was used. We informed reception that the shower gel dispenser was empty, but it was never refilled before we checked out.
The food was okay, but nothing particularly memorable.
We also had Melia reward points, but could not use them in the Hotel, so what is the point of giving them to customers?
Overall, the hotel has potential, but it needs improvements in customer service, maintenance, and soundproofing to provide a more comfortable guest experience.
