The New Waterland Pool Area, situated in the hotel gardens, features three pools, splash pad, waterfalls, slides and much fun for all ages.

The rooms are modern and comfortable. All of them equipped with balcony, free Wi-Fi, A/C, mini fridge, flat screen SAT TV and bathroom with shower or bathtub and hairdryer.
Dip into one of the 6 outdoor swimming pools or enjoy other recreational amenities including a water slide and bicycles to rent. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and a vending machine.
⭐ 1/5 – An experience I would not recommend to anyone
Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Sol Barbados in Magaluf was extremely disappointing. It was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had.
The rooms were dirty, and we did not feel that enough attention was paid to cleanliness. For a hotel that welcomes so many tourists, I expected a much higher standard.
However, the most serious issue was the food. After eating at the hotel, we experienced digestive problems and felt extremely unwell. Obviously, I cannot state with certainty what caused this, but the fact that these problems occurred during our stay and in connection with the meals at the hotel left us very concerned and disappointed.
On top of everything else, some members of staff were rude, and we felt that we were treated disrespectfully when we tried to report the problems. Instead of feeling listened to and supported, we were left with the impression that our complaints did not matter.
For the price we paid, I expected cleanliness, decent food and, most importantly, respect for guests. Unfortunately, our experience was the exact opposite.
I would not recommend this hotel and, personally, I would not return. A holiday should be relaxing, not leave you with health problems, frustration and the feeling that you have been treated without respect.
Please read the bad reviews and trust it . I’ts my first bad review , but I hope people avoid ! I’ll start by saying the good - 1) staff reception are friendly , they will try and help. 2- pool area is nice and always subbed available 3- if you get a sea view room , is quite nice . That’s it . Now, both my husband and my son came down with stomach bug. (Hopefully me and my daughter no, as we still have 2dahs left from our holiday ) We had all inclusive, but ended up just having a croissant for breakfast and ate out. (Only ate twice at the hotel) . 1 - food is basic all inclusive, but worse .. not fresh at all, every meat have a teribile smell. 2- Que for lifts are insane, in the morning expect 15-20 minute wasted for lifts , small and packed allways 3- the rooms are not clean, toilet smells horrible, cleaning lady did not touch the shower,mirror etc. they make the bed and WET the floor. 4- no laundry room at the hotel, if you got kids I find it quite a necessity .. we ended up going laundry outside the hotel 15min walk. But not ideal 5- air con not working, but we didn’t need it as the weather during night time was cold anyways. We staying on level 9 . 6- kitchen staff are very slow and not professional, Que for omelette in the morning is about 15mins , there’s usually no pancakes available or fry eggs as they go really quick 7- basic all inclusive food , but you’ll only get 2-3 types of cakes wich we found it not tasty at all . If your kids eat cereals, forget it .. milk is teribile I feel like is mixed with water . 8- the beach is not as nice as showed in pictures, and you don’t have direct acces from the hotel - there’s an alley from the hotel but it’s just horrible filled with garbage and bad smell .. so we went around the hotel wich is a 7-10minute walk .. but again water is nice and clear but the beach is packed and dirty . .. there so many more wrong things, but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless you’re ready for stomach bug !
Overall I wouldn’t recommend but if you have booked and are reading bad reviews don’t panic, you will still have a great time!
Queues for lifts really bad, even out of peak season. With a pushchair this wasn’t ideal as we had to wait an awful lot. Same for bars and the restaurant, lots of queues!
The reusable cup situation is annoying, if you forget a cup or token it’s a pain to go back to room to get them. All inclusive shouldn’t be hard work.
The worst part was one of the toddler pools was shut for our whole week, very disappointing with a 2 year old!
Food was ok, rooms clean and pool area clean.

According to the staff, I stayed at this hotel during low season, but the hotel was still packed.
Here are my recommendations: if you enjoy waiting in line, you will feel right at home. Queues for the restaurant, food, elevators, drinks, and even the pool. At some point, I expected a queue to join the queue.
It’s also a great place if you enjoy carrying a baby stroller up and down several flights of stairs, since the elevators can be quite a challenge.
I paid for an all-inclusive stay, but on several days the drink machines were out of service. So everything is included — as long as the hotel lets you use it.
The pools were also disappointing. The advertised opening hours were from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., but reality was quite different, and several pools were closed during the day.
The hotel also advertises a kids’ playroom, but the opening hours are very limited. They provide an outdoor playground, but it is uncovered and hardly usable for children in 36°C heat. The covered area is closed, so you cannot use it.
Overall, the hotel seems to accommodate more guests than its facilities and staff can handle, which explains why the staff is so overwhelmed.
But if your idea of an all-inclusive vacation is queues, closed facilities, unavailable drinks, and wondering which pool is actually open, you might enjoy this place. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the relaxing experience I expected.
Firstly positive points, Rooms, swimming pools all fantastic, cleanliness good in main hotel.
Sadly bad points, Staff rude, no interest to help really, dont make you feel welcome or make conversation. Food was horrendous, cold, tasteless even the fruit is cut up with no care...sizes to feed a horse! No care from hotel for any details.
The in out bar snack area, even worse!! us along with other British people all agreed the food is horrible The in out food was shocking, ice cream almost out of order every day, not even a nice taste for kids. The burgers/ hot dogs..cold every day (would you eat it )?
After two nights, we ate out 5 nights, and having paid around £700 extra to go all inclusive, we are very annoyed to eat out 5 nights , costing more money.
Even on check out .... not even a thank you for using our hotel or did you enjoy the visit here.... just nothing, so numb, un welcome place to stay, never experienced staff in a hotel like this.... like no one wants visitors there., very odd place
