This hotel is wonderfully situated in Magalluf, a famous tourist destination on the south west coast of the island. The closest local beach is approximately 250 m from the hotel and the hotel offers sea views or mountain views from most rooms. Within the area, guests will be able to find a variety of shopping and entertainment facilities. This is a perfect place for young groups of friends who wish to spend a lively holiday in one of the most vibrant nightlife areas in Mallorca.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have been to hotel Samos four times in the last 3 years for our summer holiday and breaks all the way from Liverpool. Every time we come we are kindly welcomed back by the entertainment team and bar staff. The entertainment team is what brings us back here every year. You simply cannot be bored. We are a couple in our late 20’s but can see all ages/parties are catered for including families and big groups to make sure everybody is having a great time all day and night. All inclusive includes all drinks (minus bottled beer, draught included) throughout the day and the bar staff are fantastic people. Our first 3 visits we have had a sea view room and have never had an issue with noise through the night. However this year we got a pool view room and did not get much sleep most nights. I would also say that as a regular guest who follows the social media, the atmosphere and great vibes of this hotel are not reflected in the social media pages. I have seen several shows, played endless games of prize bingo, tombolas, archery, pool volleyball, basketball, and ran down the magic carpet but have never once seen this on Instagram. The instagram is very corporate and business like rather than the fun, family friendly hotel this is. These are minor points for us and we will definitely be returning as we love it here. Special shout out to Ramon and Trin from the entertainment team. We look forward to seeing them every year and it is clear through seeing them day to day that they put everything they have in to making hotel Samos an amazing experience for all. Thank you guys!
This is a honest review of the hotel. Family of 3, 10 day stay First impressions was that it was clean. We were staying in a premium la terracita room, which meant that your room had sunbeds and just opposite a small pool that you can sit in and that all holiday makers could use with a bar. In comparison to the main pool this wasn't as busy. The room was small and not enough storage for a family of 3. There is a fridge but not stocked with any water. Although BCM nightclub is next door being on this side of the hotel you don't hear the nightclub That can't be said for the neighbours, the hotel has a rule that after 12,00pm - 8.00am to keep the noise down, however they don't enforce it. The walls are thin ,needless to say we had for a few nights where we had neighbours who was blasting music out, moving furniture and just being really loud gone 1.00am in the morning. I know I sound miserable when this is party central, right!
The hotel accommodates age ranges from young families to those that were here for the nightlife.
The customer service is hit and miss here, our room was is the first level and all other rooms have balconies. Unfortunately one day we had gone to lunch having left our towels on our sunbeds, to come back to our room to find the staff putting out a fire, one of the guests had kindly dropped/flicked a lit cigarette from their balcony which caused the fire. The staff on the scene responded really well and can't fault them, however the sunbed and our towel caught the raw end of the deal. However the follow up from the staff was very poor. I went down to reception were it was not communicated that a fire had just happened though you could smell it all along the corridor. I explained that there was a fire to be told there hand't been. No offer of a replacement towel, we had to ask for house keeping as there was ash and burnt sunbed on the floor. I then tried to make a complaint in the evening ,no manager was available until the next day, to be told it had been a tiny fire and felt as though I was being dismissed. (They were meant to be looking at the CCTV footage, however the cameras weren't facing our rooms, nor did they update us). I then showed them the photos of the towel and sunbed which clearly showed it wasn't a small fire. They said that they would put a note on the system to date no management has been in contact. I said that at the very least an announcement should go out to the guests to be more careful to ensure that this doesn't happen again, but it fell on deaf ears.
In addition if you are on this floor, when the cleaners are cleaning the balconies they sweep out so a few times we had been hit with food particles and rubbish, when lying on our sunbeds. My husband ended up finding a broom and cleaned it himself,
Our cleaner was lovely though and they work really hard as does the staff in the restaurant. The food was ok, but very limited and I think this was because not enough guests are full board or all inclusive. There is also the issue when visiting the restaurant, you can only get a coffee or juice in the morning, lunch and dinner the machines are turned off or covered up. There is a bar in the restaurant, and it was hit and miss whether they would give you a jug if they were out of carafes for the water, despite them having lots of jugs which was bat crazy to me, as the glasses were small it meant having to keep going back for refills. During the day, you would have to pay a 1 euro deposit to secure a cup for your drinks, every time you go back to the bar you take your cup with and they will replace it with a new one. However be mindful the staff will clear your empty cups away so make sure you hold onto it on your be charged again.
The beds are also not the most comfortable.
This is definitely not a 4 star hotel and was an ok when comparing it to other 4 star hotels I have stayed at. If you are a family I would avoid if your'e younger I think you will enjoy it if you just want a place to rest your head. Not good but not bad either, just average.
The only photos I took were of the burnt towel and sunbed, enjoy!
Easy to get to (20 mins from airport). Staff super friendly. Whole hotel/pools/restaurant/toilets all clean and clear to see they take pride in how often they clean. Room was a good size for us (junior suite for 2 adults 2 children). Atmosphere was very chilled. It is next door to BCM super nightclub, but I didn’t once hear it, rooms are sound proof. Food was lovely every day too. Couldn’t fault this hotel apart from evening entertainment started at 10pm which is quite late.
I am extremely disappointed by how Hotel Samos handled our booking change and the subsequent payment dispute.
After our flight dates changed, the hotel instructed me in writing to make a new reservation if the original booking could not be modified and to include the original reservation number in the comments.
I followed those instructions. On 26 June 2026, I made a replacement reservation for the same guests, the same four room types and almost the same dates. I paid the new booking in full: €6,529.44. The booking comment explicitly included the original reservation number and stated: “We have a reservation already: [number], will cancel after payment.”
I acknowledge that the original reservation remained technically active because the cancellation step was not completed. However, the hotel had been clearly informed that the two reservations were connected more than six weeks before our arrival. They did not contact me to clarify the duplicate booking.
While we were actually staying at Hotel Samos under the fully paid replacement reservation, the hotel charged an additional €1,055.43 on 15 August, treating the original booking as a no-show.
According to written information provided by Revolut, this was processed as a merchant-initiated transaction using manual card entry, without 3-D Secure authentication. I did not separately approve this €1,055.43 transaction.
Despite the replacement stay having already been paid in full and the hotel knowing that the two bookings related to the same guests and overlapping dates, the hotel has so far refused to refund the additional charge. I therefore submitted an official “hoja de reclamaciones” consumer complaint.
Regardless of the hotel’s facilities, this handling of a customer’s booking and payment information completely destroyed my trust in the business. Future guests should obtain explicit written confirmation that any replaced booking has been cancelled and carefully monitor their card transactions.
Unless this matter is resolved with a full refund, I cannot recommend Hotel Samos.
Location: 4/5 Atmosphere: chill 5/5 Room: double, facing back, 3/5 Value: for a family, 4/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Noise: maybe just next door room, 4/5 Service: mixed, some staff great, always smiling, some apathetic looking and some straight out miserable looking staff 3/5 Amenities: small but good enough gym, spa, restaurant, pool and bar good. Layout of the lobby seemed poorly planned. 4/5
