Palma Bay

We did read the reviews and they were mixed so decided to come with a positove attitude but unfortunately was disappointed with our stay. On arrival we were too late for lunch but was not signposted where to get some food. They gave us a map to explain where our room was and a breif explanation but not clear. The rooms were bog standard and there was a few issues that we had addressed with reception and then maintenance turned up but had no idea what they were doing and ignored the fact that we have a do not disturb sign on the door yet continued to bash on the door. There was mould leaking out of the air con unit in the room which is a health and safety matter. Day time entertainment is non existent and not really advertised when and where it is. Lovely pool area by the habbana hotel. The only thing missing is there is no music around the pool at all on any of them. Food area is like a whirlwind people pushing through and no real order of where people should be going. Chefs are really rude and moody. I have been to a few all inclusive hotels and have never experienced anything like it. The selection of food is limited with not much guidance on what it is. Drinks you have to pay for other that you 3x at dinner at lunch and cant even access soft drinks if you have no cash on you as you have to deposit 1 euro for a cup. Not my idea of all inclusive. Even coffee and tea you have to pay for. We ended up spending more than we wanted in the spar shop opposite £10 euro a day for drinks. A drink in the hotel is 7.90 euro per drinks. The area is very quiet and not alot to do unless your willing to pay high taxi fares. Where most stuff is happening. Even to visit the beach you have to pay 15 euros for a sunlounger and shade for a couple of hours. Beds were not the comfiest slept in better. Cleaners were good everyday there was a room clean done fresh towels and replenished toilet roll. The lifeguard on the habbana hotel was amazing very freindly. Wanted a late check and had to come to reception 3 times in order to get the late check and then to be told that we can only extend till 2 pm instead of 3 which this could have been sorted on our first visit realy.

Would i stay at this hotel again? NO Would i recommebnd the area? NO

Booked MLL club resort Palma for my birthday with my daughters We d been before and enjoyed it - however this time was disappointing- the reception staff were abrasive and unfriendly- they completely ignored us and deliberately made us wait for 20 mins turning their backs and “busying themselves” with tidying the desk Etc They did not explain any of the details of the hotel and threw the key card at us with out any instructions of where our room was- just an angry gesticulation and pointing I have no clue what we d done to deserve this treatment- we were polite and thankful through out our check in We d booked a superior room - the beds were absolutely terrible- rock hard- sofa cubes that separated as you slept And the shower room was in need of an update - with mould and broken soap dispenser - we had a sea view from the balcony which was a lovely surprise The food was average at best The positives - The many pools are lovely and plenty of sun loungers the bar and waiting staff - always helpful and friendly The entertainment staff were excellent And the beach is fabulous- a short walk away - sea is clear and turquoise and perfect for snorkelling- bars a plenty to visit along the beach front And hotel a short taxi journey away from airport - 20€ - we did not pre book - just hopped in a taxi outside the airport

All in all - We still enjoyed our short break away- despite the unpleasant interaction with the reception staff And the unsleepable beds The location - sea and pools were great

ONLY 3X GLASSES PER PERSON ALOUD AT DINNER AND LUNCH IN THE RESTAURANT ONLY AND JUST SANDMIGUEL IS ONLY AVAILABLE,THEN YOU HAVE TO PAY INBETWEEN THESE TIMES

If i would of read this properly before I booked i wouldn't of bothered.

Negative parts: :short on cocktails drinks only od ones available. Dinner plates you had to siv through a couple until you found a clean one and same with the glasses.

Food was ok, and certain dishes was really nice, wasn't something to rave about. No fridge in room, i think this was Purley because they didn't want you to bring your own Alcohol in from the local shops. with it being charged for Alcohol at the hotel with the inclusive. Short on seating at Entertainment area. People standing with family's when busy

Entertainment was just ok , mainly in foreign

Balcony door lock was broken, no big deal

Positives: Very comfortable mattress Good powerful shower Bar staff friendly Clean rooms, cleaned well by maids Beach 5 min walk Plenty of shops on the beach area Good land train to catch to the other end of the promenade.

Just being honest. Would I come to this hotel again "NO" Would i visit the area again "YES

Hotel food 6/10 Location/area 8/10 Cleanliness as a whole 8/10 Entertainment 4/10 (however good for little kids)
