The hotel was spotlessly clean you could see your face in the floors. Our room on the 4th floor was immaculate and modern with good air con and a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and side sea view. The food here was good. The lagoon style pool was superb 👌 and again very clean. I saw teams of people cleaning all the time and even checking the pool water. There were plenty of beds and we never once struggled to get one even later on in the day. Breakfast was good and a wide selection.
The hotel is just a very short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants with plenty of supermarkets nearby. There is a "mini bar" in the room which we assumed didnt work as nothing stayed cold in it so was a bit pointless. The beds were very firm but I would 100% stay here again. A lovely hotel in a lovely area. The roof top nar has entertainment and was a lovely relaxing area to watch the sunset.
Can picaforte is a little bit to the east of the major beaches and resort area, but boats a decent beach and enough restaurants so you would t have to eat twice I. The same place. Just a short 100m from the beach is this hotel. Well enough appointed. Check in was smooth, the rooms are a bit small but ok for a couple. We had a sea view. You’re not on the front so it is a mediated one. You can see the sea 100m away but not the beach. The breakfast is nice enough. The hotel is big but has more beds than any other place like this I’ve been to so one seemed available at all times. Two good size pools. The air con in the room is a little underpowered for my liking - lowest it will go is 18 and it seems to take a while to kick in- but we survived the 36degree heat. Our double room had a welcome fridge. There’s an aldi less than 200 meters away, the hotel also has a large fee car park
Excellent hotel and pools . Breakfasts had so much choice and polite friendly service. We used the spa and massage facilities twice . Fantastic massages and beautiful calming spa pools . So close to the beaches and a different restaurant every evening . Perfect holiday.
Before i start giving the pros and cons i have to applaud the staff at this hotel. They went above and beyond at all times. Friendly, warm and engaging.
Now, down to the pros and cons
Modern reception area and first floor internally, so I was expecting the rest to be the same. Sadly not. Dated hotel which is much in need of an uplift.
Tiles around the pool areas are from the 1980s? And who the heck walks on defective, old concrete paths to navigate there way between the pools and outside restaurant.
Not sure the pools are cleaned daily which shows. There are also black mould marks everywhere on the tiles
We stayed in a suite on the 5th floor, but sadly located beneath the bar on the 6th floor so all we heard from 9-12pm was the scraping of chairs and tables. We moved to an apartment the following day as we couldn't sleep.
Food was good but nothing special. We couldn't spend two weeks eating it so thankfully going home after 7 days. No fresh orange juice just crap from a machine which was part water, part syrup. The ice cream was cheap.
SPA - no air con in the gym or spa room so when having a "relaxing" massage i had to contend with the noise of a huge fan at head level
Most towels are like sandpaper.
Nice landscaping other than the concrete paths.
Everywhere is clean so that deserves a mention.
WiFi constantly cutting out on both Android and Iphones.
€15 for key safe and €5 deposit for the key. Why? I have never been charged for a room safe in my life (56 years)
Games room felt really bleak, in the basement with no windows. Maybe put some pictures on the walls?.
Predominantly German town so majority of guests were German. Everyone was friendly. (Apparently used to be 90% German but felt like approx 70% when we stayed)
We stayed here as a family (myself my husband and our 3yo boy) and we had a fantastic time.
Main selling points:
-entertainment: good in the hotel including a mini disco
Drawbacks (if you can even call them that)
11/10 we will be coming back here and recommending to friends
