This attractive hotel is located in Can Pastilla, just a few steps from the seemingly endless sandy beach of the Playa de Palma. It has an amazing proximity to the airport being just a few minutes away by car and the centre of Palma is about 10 minutes away. Numerous restaurants, bars, cafés and shops are in the surrounding area. Guests will have the time of their lives in this wonderful complex where they can rest by the side of the outdoor pool while sipping from a margarita or having a refreshing swim. They can also visit the restaurant to enjoy delicious and healthy meals along with an agreeable atmosphere or they can go to the bar to have a couple of drinks. Travellers will love visiting the spa sine there they can relax and forget about the stress. The comfortable rooms are decorated with light colours and touches of vibrant and vivid ones. They are perfectly equipped with all the essential amenities to have the best and most unforgettable experience.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, which include 2 outdoor swimming pools, a health club and a sauna. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and a communal living room.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Although arriving on a late flight, the friendly reception staff directed us to the dining room for self service snacks and drinks. Our room which was on the 4th floor was clean and spacious. It had a fridge, safe and a kettle but no cups but these could be readily obtained at reception. Air conditioning was adjustable in the room and provided first class ventilation.
The gym was clean and had cardio, static machines, free weights and mats so good for a workout.
Breakfast and dinner were both self service with a range of foods to suit all tastes.
All of the hotel staff were very friendly, always exchanged pleasantries and were smart in appearance.
The hotel is about 6 miles to Palma but closer to Arenal. Walking and cycling to either place is a pleasure. The route to Palma has an excellent segregated cycle/footpath and not near to car traffic. It is an interesting walk to Palma if you are a plane spotter.
For the less energetic the number 35 bus takes you into Palma old town.
It was an excellent stay at this hotel and I would definitely recommend it to other travellers.
Good location, Nice atmosphere, Great rooms, fantastic buffé . Close to bus stop. The sraff was so service minded. Got a free drink since we had been there before.. Good cleanliness.
Sometimes you can hear the airplanes little bit too often.
We have just come back and we were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We found without exception that the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Shoutouts to Eva on reception and Rafa in the dining room. Location was minutes from the bus stop and minutes from bars and cafes and a beach.
We found the half board a no brainer at 13 euro per person. You can’t get a decent tapas plate for that in the town, and the buffet was pretty good. I’ve seen bigger at massive all inclusive but there was always a fresh fry counter, alongside a theme area, carvery and general hot counter with options. Plenty of dessert options too and cheese. By choosing meals rather than piling plates high with all sorts we ate differently every day. Only downside were some of the items like the spring rolls, onion rings and calamari looked like they were out of a frozen packet but the Parmesan spaghetti, pork cheek in sauce and the bbq spare ribs were tremendous. Breakfast was good too, with fresh fried eggs and omelettes, pancakes, full English, pastries, fruit, meat, cheese and general variations each day.
Our room was one of the junior suites and was easily big enough. You can see some of the sea, but you need to be higher up to avoid the tree blocking the view. Cleaning was fine and towels were frequently changed while the fridge was super cold to pop beers in.
The gym was reasonably well equipped and did the job and the pool was never too crowded, we welcomed the lack of blow up pool toys. The water always seemed clean enough and every night the pool cleaning robot was doing its stuff. It was very pleasant to sit at the pool bar chatting to new friends during the day with a cold beer or cocktail.
There’s some sort of singer on a few nights per week and these were as you’d expect and mostly were performing inside. This also provided some nice background music while sitting outside on the warm evenings. Drinks were very reasonable prices compared to some of the places in town which was good to see.
The only real irritation we had was with the pool towels. It was explained at reception and there are numerous notices around the place that putting towels on sunbeds to reserve them is not allowed. However, starting at 8 every morning people do exactly that. I see from previous reviews that I’m not the first to say this and the hotel say they’ll review it. But absolutely nothing was done and it means you can’t get a bed. We took photos at 9AM and there’s barely a bed left with just a small scattering of people actually on them (see photos). JS -just get a staff member to be around the pool (cleaning or straightening the beds etc) from 8AM and tell people to not leave their towels if they try to wander off. It’s very easy and would quickly sort the problem.
Other than that, thanks JS Palma Stay, I really enjoyed it and we’ll look at other JS hotels in future. Well done.
We had a wonderful stay at JS Palma Stay in Majorca and would definitely recommend this lovely adults-only hotel.
We had selected a Junior Suite when booking and were delighted to be given exactly the room we had chosen. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful, with a special mention to Andrea, who was absolutely lovely.
The hotel itself is immaculate throughout and in a really good location. The bar service was also excellent, and Kristina and Jesus were particularly friendly, attentive and helpful.
We also both made use of the hotel’s wellness spa during our stay and were really impressed. The spa facilities are absolutely amazing and provided the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. We both booked treatments, including deep tissue and sports massages, and the highly trained therapists were excellent. The treatments were professional, thorough and of a very high standard, and we would definitely recommend making time for a visit to the spa during your stay.
Breakfast was another highlight. There is a fantastic selection with something for everyone, including continental options, pastries, cooked breakfast, fresh fruit and charcuterie, along with a great choice of coffees. Rafa in the dining room was also extremely helpful and welcoming.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s a beautiful, immaculate adults-only hotel with a relaxed atmosphere, excellent facilities and, most importantly, genuinely lovely staff who make you feel very welcome.
We would happily stay at JS Palma Stay again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Majorca. We’re already looking forward to returning!
Fantastic hotel. Staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. We arrived a bit early for check in but we're given voucher to have a glass of sparkling wine while we waited for room to be ready. We booked a triple room which was clean, and great balcony and view of pool. Angel (the barman) at the poolside bar was great. Great banter and very friendly. We were HB and the food was AMAZING!!! Loads of choice and everything tasted fabulous. Everywhere was clean around pool.
Slight downside was people putting towels on sunbeds and disappearing even though signs everywhere saying don't do it and that if you did then towels would be removed by staff. That didn't happen. It did mean we spent more time on beach rather than by pool. (On the beach it cost €10 for each bed and €10 for each umbrella) One morning I counted 43 sunbeds by pool with towels on and no one in sight.
If on the day you leave and your flight is late in the day, there is a shower room near reception and you can have towel on request from reception to shower before you leave to go home. Will definitely be going back. The lack of sunbeds was only real negative but I guess you get that wherever you go.
