Hotel Marina Luz

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was very clean and tidy, the rooms very comfortable and the food excellent and the pool lovely but there were a couple of things that for us, let it down.

We were half board and at breakfast the drinks choices were many and as you’d expect free. Champagne was available, many fruit juices, tea, coffee and other hot beverages from a machine and water from machines with a choice of sparkling and still. But at Dinner, for some reason, access to the water machines weren’t available and access to them blocked and if you wanted water with Dinner you had to buy it at €3.50 euros for a small bottle. I found this infuriating.

We also paid a bit extra for the My Favourite Club access and it was a really nice thing to have. You get a Bali Bed outside your room, reserved seating in the Dining room, access to a rooftop pool area with nice views but we only went up there once. The ‘pool’ is very small and the space not huge.

You also get access to the My Favourite Club lounge area with snacks (pizza squares and sandwiches, fruit, cakes as well as a hot beverage machine, water and soft drinks). At 4.30 pm till 6pm they do a nice thing where they put out 3 bottles of Cava but in a few occasions the Cava wasn’t put out and I had to go ask at the bar for it which was a bit embarrassing and made me look desperate for it. On one occasion it got a bit warm in the the room and we took our glasses of Cava to the outside seating area and were told off by a member of the bar staff, in front of other guests, that we weren’t permitted out if the My Favourite Club room with our drinks. It put a bit of dampener on our evening.

Very enjoyable holiday at the Alua, speedy check in,then room 329 really nice room with brilliant view. Serviced evey day spotlees acomadtion, loved the free mini bar and emptied it. Hotel bar and restaurant very good Breakfast plentiful Loved the cosy rooftop pool and sunbeds. Hotel nice position for exploring the resort, quite all round hotel. All the staff very courteous and well presented All in all short break enjoyed at the Alua. Found the My Favourite Club upgrade to be worth the extra payment . No qualms booking again👍

Fantastic 4* hotel in Can Pastilla.

Perfectly placed, immaculately clean, hotel. Daily room cleaning works well Ideal location for a walk to Can Pastilla and if you’re feeling brave in the summer heat, to Palma. Brilliant selection for breakfast. Good gym for a cycle on the static bikes and eventually a run when the treadmill was fixed or replaced. Definitely stay here again in the future when on Majorca based on proximity to the airport, to Palma and at a location that’s ideal. Great value. Staff are sound.
