2nd time here still nice hotel close to restaurants bars and beach Few bits need updating but still lovely place to stay
We have been a few time now. would recommend this hotel. close to beach and airport. staff are lovely. food was lovely . fridge in room to put cold water and alcohol in. entertainment was great . Getting a uber from hotel to palma wasn't expensive we had a lovely day at the market and cathedral . plenty of sunbeds . very friendly . towels , hand wash in bathroom . clean .
We had another really lovely stay at the Ilusion Calma & Spa Hotel in Can Pastilla. This was actually my fifth time staying at the hotel, which probably says everything! I really wouldn’t keep coming back if I didn’t love it, and I will 100% be going back again.
The hotel is clean, nicely looked after and in a great location. It’s really close to the airport, which is so convenient, and only a short walk to the beach. We love having a stroll along the beachfront in the evenings, with lots of places to stop for a drink or something to eat.
The daytime entertainment around the pool was really good too. The animation lady worked so hard and really made an effort to get everyone involved. There was water aerobics and different activities during the day, and they also made different drinks and treats, including sangria, white sangria and the nicest iced coffees! These little touches really made the pool area enjoyable.
The staff were, as always, very attentive and hardworking. We’d particularly like to mention Ricardo, Momo and Celeste, who were all so friendly and welcoming. Juleth (I think that was her name!) was also lovely — always smiling, happy and so pleasant. They really stood out to us during our stay.
All of the staff work incredibly hard and deserve a mention, but these were the ones who made us feel especially welcome.
Overall, we had another fantastic stay. It really does feel like a home from home now, and after five visits I can honestly say I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We’ll definitely be back for visit number six! 😊
Having just returned from a one week, all inclusive stay at this hotel, I have to say that I was completely satisfied. considering that it is a 3 star hotel, it exceeded my expectations as such. The reception staff are friendly, accommodating and efficient. in fact the same can be said of all the staff. there was one exception - Miquel in the bar is lazy, rude and apparently thinks that minor tasks such as topping up the ice reserve or washing up are more important than serving guests. When you try to question him about this he just says 'no comprendo' and turns his back. Moving on, the room was clean and comfortable, the fridge and the aircon worked perfectly. The food in the restaurant was generally very good with a wide range of options. (although one day the bacon was cremated and I was not impressed with taco night - but that's just me) The salads and fish dishes were particularly excellent. So too was the rose wine which I love when on holiday! I can't comment on the pool area or the entertainment as i did not make use of them. I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone with realistic expectations of a 3 star hotel.
We arrived around midday and it was fantastic that our room was already available. I had requested a room near to a lift as I have mobility issues and this was provided and was perfect. Admittedly the view was disappointing as we were overlooking the roof of another hotel but it didn’t really affect us. When we arrived, all the sunbeds looked occupied - given the size of the pool, we were dreading being able to secure a bed each day. But guess what? The doors to the pool opened at 9am every morning and no-one EVERY queued! That in itself was a real joy as I find there is nothing worse that everyone rushing to find a bed at the same time! The hotel itself was lovely - we had a very nice, clean room and it met our expectations. The food was lovely - I had a freshly cooked omelette every morning and there was always plenty of options throughout the day. I did find the selections of desserts very small but it was more than compensated by the delicious ice creams! Where this hotel stands out is with their staff. Everyone was SO friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A special thanks to Ricardo for making our pool drinks so special! Location wise you couldn’t ask for more - the beach was a 2 minute walk and the surrounding area has plenty to offer by way of cafes and shops. Overall, we had an extremely wonderful holiday and would definitely return!
