The hotel is located in Calas de Mallorca, a small resort in the south east part of the island. Nearby are many beautiful beaches, with spectacular views, as well as small and authentic fishing villages, supplementing the benefits of this relatively unknown area with tourists, but most popular choice for everyday and holiday.The hotel offers a spacious terrace with amazing sea views. Welcoming public areas, salon games. The complex offers the facilities focused on children.
Don't miss out on recreational opportunities including an outdoor pool and bicycles to rent. Additional amenities at this property include complimentary wireless Internet access, tour/ticket assistance and a vending machine.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Not 3* - would not recommend.
Overarching issue was that a sickness bug was rife on the hotel, which was exasperated by filter / pipe issues with the pool which were not fixed during our stay or beyond. As mentioned in a few other reviews reception staff were dismissive blaming the kids for poor hygiene. Our whole party was struck by the bug. We spoke to very few people who did not have at least one of their party struck by illness.
The hotel could have done much more both to prevent the spread of illness and to advise of issues so additional precautions could be taken.
Food was bland, much of it frozen rather than fresh, very similar day in day out, with leftovers being presented as snacks.
The cup situation was a first for us - carry your plastic cup around all week with you to get a drink. They were swilled out with water but not hygienic in my opinion.
On the positive side - the rooms were spacious and the views from the back of the hotel were delightful. Alex from the entertainment team was very welcoming and inclusive and deserves recognition for his hard work - he didn’t stop.
Despite some positives the negatives overtook and we would not recommend or stay again.
Just returned from a 12 night stay and after reading reviews we were looking forward to our holiday. The room was spacious, clean, with comfortable beds and a beautiful view. The cleaners and waiters were all friendly and helpful. Only a very small portion of the pool is suitable for swimming as most of it is only knee deep. The food is of poor quality, bland and very repetitve. The labels above each dish were either wrong or missing. We ended up eating out towards the end of our stay The entertainment if you can call it that was nearly always suitable for the younger kids ie under 9's so be ok if travelling with little ones. There is not much outside the hotel in the evenings to do, so if being given a talk all about a tortoise or you going up on stage singing/dancing infront of everyone is not your thing then this is not the place for you. We had a storm one day and returned to our room flooded with water pouring in the roof! Luckily our belongings were not damaged not that anyone from the management of the hotel asked or offered an apology. There were lots of leaks all over the hotel and evidence of this happening previously. Not all the rooms have the sea view and most just look onto the block infront. There are lots of stairs, we counted 107 to the first room we had from pool/bar. We are both quite able but doing this several times a day in the heat was not fun. Really lovely family friendly hotel smaller than other local hotels which is much better, fantastic entertainment people, rooms housekeeping first class, food good but as in all inclusive repetitive. Lovely location but I didn’t read about the steps all 72 of them to go to a meal and back again there is a lot but that was my fault for not reading the post properly, on the plus side I did get my steps in daily 😂 But steps aside we had a fabulous holiday will definitely be considered back,
We had a brilliant week away at this hotel and honestly couldn't have asked for a better place for our first family holiday. From the moment we arrived, we felt really welcomed, and the whole week was exactly what we needed. The staff were amazing throughout our stay, but a special mention has to go to Alex and Nore. I read a review about arriving during the storm and would just like to say that we thought the staff dealt with it brilliantly. It's the heaviest rain I'd ever seen and they were working frantically to make sure that the hotel was safe for guests.
The children's entertainment was great and there was always something going on to keep them entertained. There were also loads of activities available for adults throughout the day, which was lovely as there was plenty to do without ever feeling like you had to leave the hotel.
Our room was spacious, comfortable and regularly cleaned, and we had everything we needed for our stay. We were aware before travelling that there were quite a lot of stairs, so we were prepared for this, particularly as we had a pram with us. I can imagine the stairs would be much easier to manage with older children, but for us they were definitely worth it for the beautiful views across the sea! One really useful thing to know is that the hotel has prams available to rent from reception, which could be a great option and saves having to carry your own pram up and down to the room.
Personally, I thought the food was great. The chefs cook fresh options at each meal and there was a really good variety, so I never felt like we were eating the same thing over and over again. As we were travelling with two children under three, it was actually incredibly helpful that some foods were repeated, as it meant we knew there would always be something familiar that they would eat. There was plenty of choice for adults too, so everyone was well catered for. The desserts and pastries in particular were amazing and definitely worth saving room for!
The restaurant staff were also fantastic. They were friendly, attentive and always seemed to be on top of clearing and cleaning the tables. Despite the restaurant being busy at times, it never felt chaotic and the staff worked really hard to keep everything running smoothly.
The swimming pool was perfect for children. Both ends were shallow, with it becoming slightly deeper in the middle, which made it really easy for us to let the children enjoy the pool while still feeling comfortable. There were plenty of sunbeds available and, even when the hotel was busy, it never felt overcrowded around the pool. There is also a lovely path just outside the hotel which leads down towards the beach. Along the way there are plenty of places to eat, as well as places where you can book boat trips and other activities.
Overall, we had an amazing stay and couldn't have asked for a better experience for our first family holiday.
We have just arrived back in the UK after 10 days here. We met friends from France there to celebrate their 20th Wedding Anniversary. We went with Thomas Cook which included transfers with Transunion. If you're booking the items individually, Transunion were very good. We will definitely look for them again. The food is very nice. Other reports have said it's repetitive, but there were lots of options, plenty of fish and gluten free options too. They provide lovely gluten free warm baguettes when requested. You can eat ice cream all day ( if that's your thing) and there's also a Mr Whippy machine in the dining hall dispensing absolutely delicious yogurt ice cream. The rooms are kept very clean. It's not ideal for families or those that struggle with steps. You can't avoid the steps if you want to use the pool and restaurant. That said the steps are comfortable on the legs; does that make sense? Some stone steps are hard work; these aren't. There's a water feature that runs to to bottom with us own resident terrapin "Fred". Pool Towels, TV remote and kettle are available for a €10 refundable deposit each. If you want to swap towels it's €3 euros each time. Safe keys don't require a deposit. Good quality local drinks on the all inclusive. Do a bit of research on the trips. We paid €55 for a trip to the caves of Drach which included Portocristo shopping in a simulated pearl shop. You can get the 428 bus service to Portocristo and easily walk to the caves - entry to the caves €19! There's a pathway beside the pool that leads to a fabulous choice with amazing sandy bottomed sea - great for swimming. Our first trip to Mallorca; well definitely be back and will likely return to this hotel.
