Ideal for a family-friendly stay, this hotel is located in the charming town of Calas de Mallorca. Guests will find the desirable Cala Domingos Beach just a few steps from the hotel. The town centre with shops, entertainment, bars and restaurants is some 50 metres away. Public transport links is in the vicinity while airport is at 60 km away. The spacious and airy accommodation units have been tastefully decorated in white and blue colours, creating a charming atmosphere in which to completely unwind at the end of the day. Each room features magnificent sea views and is well-equipped for guests to feel right at home. Children will delight in the kid's pool, and everyone can enjoy the entertainment programme with archery, tennis and aerobics.
Be warned, if you are allocated room 110, do not accept it. This room is significantly smaller than the others in the hotel, barely enough room to walk around the bed. Only a half height wardrobe meaning my wife had to hang all her dresses in the hallway. Only one mirror, which was in the bathroom, nothing above the dressing table. No shelf or storage in the bathroom meaning all of our toiletries were stored on the floor. Worst part is the 600x600 ceiling vent in the hallway which allows you to hear the constant noise of toilets flushing and showers running throughout the day and night, from all over the hotel. Room 110 is not fit for purpose, avoid room 110.
Positives: Location perfect, a few minutes walk to a stunning beach. Room was cleaned daily if you wanted it we opted for every other day. Atmosphere a little flat of a night although we did win €50 on the bingo full house. Negatives: Extremely rude guests who think the cooks have cooked food just for them who want to pile their plates like an Egyptian pyramid while pushing their way to the buffet and whoever gets in the way don’t stand a chance. Noise level of a night is atrocious with parents letting their kids run and shout down the corridors before slamming their doors behind them. The noise also stars about 6.30 in the morning with people moving patio chairs on the balconies. After visiting the hotel previously we found the value to not be as good or the quality of the food as we remembered.

First of all, we absolutely do not recommend this hotel!
On the day we arrived, we got our room in the separate building on the ground floor. The room wasn’t very clean, but we believed it would be cleaned better the next day. After returning from dinner we found a big cockroach in the bathroom. We had to wait two hours, went to the reception twice and contacted TUI before someone would finally come to take care of it. Then the man told us there were two. An hour later we found two juvenile cockroaches on the floor. The next morning however we found more than 10 cockroaches in the bathroom, some dead, some still alive. We contacted TUI and they said that house keeping would do an extra thorough cleaning. After the cleaning we went back to find all the dead ones still on the ground and even more alive ones. Eventually we were able to switch rooms to the main building and then we thought our stay would finally be better. The room looked much cleaner and was in a much better state than the first room.
On the third day, I got food poisoning. My husband got it a few days later. We are always very aware that this can happen on holiday and we even use handsanitzers everytime we get back to our table to avoid the spread of germs, so it was definitely from the food. We also did not lay in the sun the whole day, and mostly looked for shade. So it was also definitely not because of a sunstroke.
If after reading this review, you still want to go to this hotel, here are a few things we looked for before our stay but couldn’t really find in reviews or descriptions. The hotel is all inclusive but not everything is included. There is one mocktail free, a few cocktails, beer, wine and a few other alcoholic drinks. Soft drinks and water are from a fountain dispenser, but in some places in the hotel you can taste the chlorine in the water through the soda’s. If you want bottled water, you have to pay extra.
Then for food, I am vegetarian and it was sometimes difficult to know what was veggie and what was not. For breakfast and lunch, there were different options of bread, cheeses, dairy, eggs, beans, raw vegetables, fruit and sweet things like pancakes or doughnuts. For dinner it was sometimes more difficult. There are still the basic options like bread, cheese, raw vegetables and french fries. For the other dishes, you basically have to guess, because the people preparing them had no idea, and often barely spoke English. There are always pasta’s you can eat, one without any sauce, just plain pasta, and then one with a tomato sauce. There was also always fruit and dessert. The hotel has a pizzeria, where you can get pizza’s, hotdogs and burgers. Always two veggie pizza’s and there was also cheese, vegetables and pasta. Here you can also get soft drinks and water from a fountain dispenser and they did not taste like chlorine! You can also easily fill your water bottle here.
Amenities in the room are very basic. Just handsoap and shower gel/shampoo. For the safe you also have to go get a key at the reception, and you have to pay for it.
It is also hot in a lot of places. The dinner hall and the pizzeria are almost always unbearable. The airconditioning in the room works good.
Our second room was way better than the first one, cleaner and in a better state. The showers in both rooms were very small and it felt a little cramped to take a shower. Also the whole bathroom will be wet after the shower. In the first room we had a sewage smell in the bathroom. There is also a lot of noise from the hallways and adjacent rooms. In the bathroom you could literaly hear everything that was said in the next room.
The sunbeds surrounding the pool are almost always full. We managed to find a sunbed once in the afternoon in the garden, so not by the pool. At 17.45h hotel staff will start closing the pools and at 18h they are completely closed.
Overall we didn’t really enjoy our stay and feel like we have to recover at home from this vacation. We will definitely not be coming back.
