Primasol Cala d'Or Gardens

We stayed here for a week from the 5th - 12th September. The hotel is lovely, we had a quick and smooth check in and someone helped us carry out cases to our room. Room was well equipped and had air con, which was a godsend as the weather was around 36 degrees for the first three days. Great swimming pools and even a splash pool which is located across the road from the hotel. Our week stay was all inclusive, the food was plentiful but apart from a few days, the food was almost always very lukewarm and in occasion cold, even though we went as soon as they opened. Most days we had to have the bread and salad as the food just wasn't hot enough. The toilets were situated at the reception which is a bit of a walk if you're in the pool, and only two cubicles. I imagine there would have been people using the pool as a bathroom as the toilets were never busy. Only one bar for drinks as well which when you're in the pool it can be a bit of nuisance having to traipse across the hotel for a drink. The cleaners only change towels through the week unless you specifically ask for your room to be cleaned. Entertainment is ok, typical Spanish entertainment, a few good acts towards the end of the week. The area of cala d or is very pretty and there is a ting ting train that takes you from the hotel into the town, it comes regularly and is cheap, All in all a good week, just the food really that let it down

I had a wonderful stay at Calimera Fido. I felt very welcome thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. It’s a great family-friendly hotel, with plenty of activities and facilities for children. The restaurant offers a great variety of delicious food, from paella and pasta to burgers, salads, desserts, and fresh fruit. The location in Cala Egos is beautiful and peaceful, with fantastic beaches and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended for both families and solo travellers looking for a relaxing holiday!

A very good family hotel for those with younger children Described as a 4 star hotel, probably due to its facilities, in particular its wonderful water park suitable for children under 10 however in reality is more of a 3 star hotel. Staff are probably the best I have experienced and animation team are tireless working and interesting acting throughout the day and evening Throughout the hotel is looking tired and in general need of a makeover Rooms are a reasonable size fitting in 3 beds but unsure how a 4th would be fitted in if a family of 4 Good size bathroom inc bath and over bath shower Daily Room maintenance is poor with little cleaning undertaken Those rooms advertised with their own separate “garden” are not worth paying extra for as the “garden” space was a dried mud patch in front of each room enclosed by a hedge which put everything into shade Hotel consists of a number of blocks, all 3 stories high with no lift making it difficult to negotiate the stairs with a buggy/pushchair Restaurant is adequate with all meals buffet style. Buffets were plentiful although general cooking quality was poor. Poor/cheaper cuts of meat that were overcooked and were therefore tough/dry Salads were plentiful Little evidence of “themed” nights during our 7 day stay Evening entertainment was as you would expect starting with daily children’s disco at 8.00 run by the excellent animations team followed by either a music tributes show or magic/acrobat act. The music nights were excellent however the other evenings were poor quality and usually cleared the audience quickly Two large swimming pools on site were excellent and never too busy The adjacent water park was the highlight of our stay with our 3 year old grandson Toilets and snack bar beside water park Plenty of sunbeds throughout although there was a lot of shade surrounding the main pools due to large trees which may be welcomed by many but not all Plenty of shops/restaurants close by although we were on all inclusive package Nice beaches soft sand and clear water with showers/toilets and cafe a short 15 minute walk away
