Unbelievable location, so close to everything. Hotel is spotless, housekeeping every day and no hassles with changing towels for room or pool. Room was basic, two kids on sofa beds. Very basic cooking opportunities but we only prepared food here for breakfast and lunch and are out at the nearby restaurants every night. Only one of the electric rings worked. Loved that there was water dispenser near reception. We only ate at the snack bar once, tasty but expensive. Staff in reception were lovely. Only one thing that I didn't like to see was that the lifeguards at the pool were barely watching. They sat with one earphone in and watched their phone the entire time. From where they sat, it wasn't possible to see the whole pool and they didn't get up to walk around the pool at all. This is very different to my experience of lifeguards at other hotels where phones would not be allowed. Overall a very good experience.
This is a gorgeous clean hotel. Just back from 10nights self catering here. It was a lovely break but a couple of things to be aware of before you go/book.
Rooms: The four of us stayed in two garden view rooms next to each other (myself and my husband in one room, 16 yr old & 19yr old in the other) and they were clean, spacious, good air con and lovely balcony (not overlooked - bare this in mind when choosing your room at booking - the pool views were a bit exposed. Didn’t notice the road view ones). Small kitchen but we ate out so only used it for snacks and drinks - perfect. My only complaint of the room was that it’s not 100% sound proof but it didn’t ruin it.
Location: fab for dinner in the marina, dinner/drinks in the main area & walkable to several beaches. Bus stop outside is great for a direct bus to Palma and also the National Park - which is gorgeous. Several supermarkets close by, shops, bakeries and coffee shops places.
Pool: this is the main reason my rating isn’t a 5 - slightly disappointed with the pool in that after reading the reviews from last year that no inflatables are allowed they are indeed allowed and you sometimes can’t move for floats !!!! I think depending on when you go the sun bed situation will differ. The first half of our stay was much quieter and it was easy to get beds at any time, there was no saving going on either. The latter part of our stay that changed and people were getting down early, laying towels and reserving. Always hard to manage this for a hotel but there was literally nothing being done about it. My tip would be the pool that isn’t next to the pool bar is a more relaxed vibe, still loads of inflatables but it’s not as deep so less jumping in and out going on.
The food in the pool bar is really good and great service - possibly pricier than other places nearby but nice for a quick bite on the first day and drinks in comfy deck chairs late afternoon.
The staff were all lovely and so helpful. The hotel grounds are looked after impeccably, it’s kept beautifully.
I would really recommend.
Overall, we had a lovely stay at Sa Marina Hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and the staff work incredibly hard to keep everything running smoothly. They were always friendly, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent.
One real positive was that there was never any problem getting a sunbed, which made for a much more relaxing holiday and avoided the usual stress.
The breakfast was nice with a good selection, but at €20 per person I don’t feel it offers good value for money.
It was also very disappointing that the hotel has a lovely gym but no air conditioning. Given the climate, this seems unbelievable and makes it uncomfortable to use.
There are inconsistency with some of the hotel rules. Guests are told that balls and lilos are not allowed in the pool, yet inflatable rings seemed to be permitted. We also saw some families being allowed to use balls while others were told they couldn’t. The same applied to the rule about wearing swimwear in the pool bar—some guests were spoken to while others weren’t.
If these rules are important, they need to be applied consistently to everyone. It would also help if there were clear signs at reception and if guests were informed about them during check-in. It’s frustrating to buy pool toys on holiday only to discover they aren’t allowed because you weren’t made aware of the policy beforehand.
Despite these issues, we enjoyed our holiday and are pleased we chose to stay here. However, unfortunately wouldn’t return.
We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the main strip with plenty of restaurants and just a short stroll to the beautiful marina. The facilities were great, with lovely pools and a convenient towel exchange service available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Our room was cleaned daily and was always spotless. Breakfast had a good selection each morning and was never too busy. The kids' club during the week had a great range of activities, and the staff were wonderful-especially Barbara, who was attentive and fantastic with our daughter. Highly recommended!
Just home after a week at the Inturotel Sa Marina .July 1st - 8th.What an Amazing hotel!! We stayed self catering Block 3201 and absolutely loved every minute there. The Hotel is Spotless!! Cleaners in every day. Fresh towels every day. There is no need to rush down for sunbeds as there are still lots free at noon. Air Conditioning is on 24 hours a day. The location is peaceful even though you are literally 5 min stroll to the start of the Strip. There are 2 Spar shops within 2 min walk. Lots of Restaurants, bars and shops within a few mins walk. Highly recommend the Sa Marina for a chilled out family break!! We will be back.
