Electricity went three days in a row. No water first day we arrived. Room was damp. Air con was poor. Bed never changed the 6 days we were there. Fire alarm went off during the night/ early morning, with no explanation. Never used either pool as always full / over packed.
An excellent hotel almost on the beach. Very clean, excellent buffet. Suitable for all ages in my opinion. Been many many times and going again later this year. Staff absolutley lovely and speak good english. Can't fault.
nice hotel, however not 4 star,
good -
negatives -
the lifts, 3 small lifts which are busy at peak times and often stop on every floor which is annoying. also they are very warm like an oven and don’t fit many people lol
it’s very warm in the buffet restaurant but i had my mini fan with battery’s which i definitely recommend as it very humid here in august, even locals complaining about humidity
hotel could do with a face lift in some places as parts are shabby but it’s clean
cala ‘or is nice enough but apart from the wee coves it’s honestly nothing special and i was expecting more from it .it has the usual bars and souvenirs shops but seen a massive rat run across the street in front of us one morning which was rotten
hotel could do with a better map of facilities
my biggest one was the pools, i love the water and didn’t go in the pools once as they had a green - grime look to them which was off putting and could do with a good scrub of bleach, went into sea instead
weather was over cast and a little spot rain but still very warm. again not hotels fault, we renamed it moody mallorca as last time we were in mallorca it rained too
hotel had lots of steps but there seemed to have ramps etc for prams or wheelchair
i would recommend this hotel to a friend
I genuinely feel like the entertainment team at Barceló Ponent Beach deserve the biggest possible amount of credit.
I’m only 5 days into my holiday and I honestly cannot believe how hard these guys work. They are absolutely relentless. Every single day there is something going on and somehow their energy never seems to drop. The variety is incredible too, from Latin music to current hits, different styles, games, shows and entertainment that genuinely caters for everyone, no matter what language you speak.
I actually got up on the stage myself and did one song of karaoke. ONE SONG. 😂 I came off feeling like I was going to suffocate in the heat and I was exhausted. Then you watch this team perform a 30 song series, singing, dancing and giving absolutely everything they have, and they make it look like it was an hour’s work.
It honestly makes you realise just how much effort they put in behind the scenes. They are working in ridiculous heat, day after day, and somehow still come out with huge smiles, incredible energy and enthusiasm. I genuinely don’t think they are paid enough for how hard they work.
They don’t just perform and disappear either. They come out afterwards and interact with the crowd, get involved with guests and genuinely make everyone feel included. You can see that they care about creating a good atmosphere and making sure people are enjoying themselves.
I’ve even got videos from my stay because I genuinely want to remember how good they have been. They have mentioned that they don’t even know if they will be here next year, and honestly, if they aren’t, it will be a massive loss for this hotel.
To the entire entertainment team, THANK YOU. You are so hardworking, so talented and your energy is genuinely infectious. I really hope the hotel management see this and understand just how valuable you are. You deserve recognition, appreciation and honestly, you deserve to be paid more.
Five days into my holiday and you have already been one of the biggest highlights of my stay. Please don’t ever underestimate how much guests notice the effort you put in.
Absolutely outstanding team. You deserve every single bit of praise you get. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’m here now and would not recommend so many things wrong with this hotel but the fact the entertainment is still on and blaring into our room after midnight is just ridiculous. We’re on a family holiday to Mallorca not an 18-30 to Ibiza. If you are a family don’t book here!!!! Avoid
