Barcelo Ponent Playa

My stay at Barceló Ponent Beach was nothing short of fantastic! From the stunning location and the comfortable, clean facilities to the delicious food and wonderful staff, everything exceeded our expectations. However, what truly made our vacation extraordinary and unforgettable was the incredible animation team. A special shout-out goes to Barbie and her amazing crew, who brought boundless energy, warmth, and fun to every single day. The highlight of the trip had to be the parties! The White Party was an absolute blast—the atmosphere was electric, and DJ Shagy kept the dance floor packed with incredible music all night long. The energy brought by the animators, especially Koko Loco and Shakira, was contagious; they made sure everyone was having the time of their lives. We also loved the Pool Party, which matched the exact same high-energy vibe, once again featuring the fantastic tunes of DJ Shagy keeping the momentum going. If you are looking for a hotel that offers a great mix of relaxation, beautiful views, and top-tier entertainment with a team that treats you like family, Barceló Ponent Beach is the place to be. We are already missing it and cannot wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 Stars)

This hotel definitely had pros and cons. Location and atmosphere were incredible. Our room had a very dirty/damp smell in it the full holiday no matter what we done, by the time we got home all our clothes smelt like this, wasn’t great atol. The aircon was horrific, we couldn’t sleep at night and ended up buying 3 fans to help(another 40 euros down). We complained to reception twice, they said they’d send someone to check it but nothing changed. Trying to get ready in the heat was unbearable. Usually you can go to your room for a cool down but not this time, the hallways were so unbelievably warm too and the main restaurant. The WiFi didn’t work for us, we couldn’t get our phones, iPads or kindles to connect for the full week. This has resulted in us having extremely high phone bills.

The all inclusive drinks were amazing, so much better than any other hotel we’ve been in. Aperol spritz, Hugo spritz and Smirnoff vodka on the all inclusive was so good (all drinks were extremely tasty) and bar staff/waiters were all so kind and helpful.

The food at the family pool was amazing, burgers chips pizza etc everyday which was tasty, fresh and warm and so easy to eat on your sub lounger or in the small seating area which did have unreal aircon.

The entertainment team made our full holiday. They were incredible from start to finish, the energy that they brought every single day was insane both during the day and in the evening. They were all so welcoming and got everyone involved. We were absolutely amazed every single day by them, their dancing was insane. We aren’t usually a couple who watch the entertainment but we made sure we were back every night to watch it and stayed until the end. We would return just for the sake of these guys.

Having the beach right next to the hotel was great, we were at the beach every morning. We also hired a paddle board which was only 15 euros. You can take a boat trip to see the dolphins for 60 euros too which looked super fun.
