This pleasant hotel lies directly in Cala Bona Marina just 100 m from the nearest beautiful sandy beach. Cala Millor with its many shopping and entertainment venues is just 1 km away whilst the nearest links to the public transport network are about 250 m from the hotel. The island's capital town of Palma and the international airport is about 70 km away. The elegant, fully air-conditioned hotel offers 4 floors with a total of 189 rooms. Each of the tastefully decorated apartments comes with a bathroom, a telephone, air conditioning, central heating, a hire safe and a balcony. Guests have access to a fabulous pool and garden complex and facilities include a cosy bar and a restaurant. There is a swimming pool as well as a furnished sun terrace for guests to take advantage of.

The indoor pool needs a coat of paint all the paint is crumbing also a fusty smell in the bar as you walk in, I wouldn’t give it 5 stars more like a 4 the room we stayed in was lovely although I had a noisy neighbour he popped his head around the glass I was laided on the bed just chilling with the curtains open admiring the view I did give him a shout to say that’s not nice
An impromptu booking to cala bona and loved the general area for views, scenery and town..we were worried about some reviews so here's an honest opinion..
Catalonia del mar hotel has mixed appeals.. Positives are - Wonderful location the best... Views are stunning Plentiful restaurants all around you ..30 min to cala millor by foot, many shops and a lot of bike rentals.. Hotel food was really good and always HOT which is rare, plenty of choice Great breakfast too! Lots of choice. A mixed crowd 20-80 lol Excellent staff Outdoor restaurant seating across from the bay and harbour Entertainment OK , not too mad . We had a suite upgrade !,, yeah !,, very clean and it was large with a new bathroom, walk in wardrobe & average mountain views room 415 Maids cleaning Excellent and daily !!! Adult only so quieter
Negatives- The hotel is tired and needs re painted etc.but its only a base.., corridors are basic, decor white and basic but v comfortable beds. lounge decor was OK but a little dated.. Hot vegetables up 3 steps with the salads, which was odd as you like hot veg with your dinner. So you are carrying plate of foods up and down steps, not ideal for those guests on a stick or a pain or two.. Pool was small, we don't use a pool much so weren't bothered.. The restaurant was a bit like a canteen, plastic chairs... ..we sat outside daily which was lovely..and across from the harbour.
It's a great base and overall we enjoyed our visit as the meals were v good and the location Excellent such a stunning area directly in front of the hotel. Yes we would return but take a Seaview room for a better experience. I did see inside these rooms and the views were amazing.
It's really like a 3 star hotel with 4 star food and 5 star views.. in a lovely town.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff and the best location.
After reading good and not so good reviews I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Excellent location opposite the marina in lovely Cala Bona. We had a room overlooking the pool area with a side sea view which was nice. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels too. Some of the negative reviews mentioned the cleanliness around the pool area but we used it every day along with indoor pool and both areas were very clean. I watched the staff most mornings clearing the outdoor pool of any debris etc.
We found the food good with plenty of variety, the staff all worked very hard and were always helpful and friendly to those staying in the hotel. Yes it is a bit dated but that added to the charm of the hotel, very relaxed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Hotel bit dated on the pool rooms. Matress on bed hard not comfortable .aircon was like a large type heater next to the bed very weird. Bathroom very small it's a bath with shower the glass panel is touching the sink people older saying hard for them getting in and out .food very average had to eat out a few days as nothing I woukd eat this is my honest review . Others will have theirs but this is mine don't norm have this many negative things to say but I'm only being honest .also if your wanting to sit dry your hair at mirror take a plug extender .
