THB Flora

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at THB Flora.

During my stay, belongings were stolen from my room (room 395). On the morning of the incident, I left my room while the hotel cleaner was entering to clean it. I did not lock the door because the cleaner was entering the room at that time.

When I returned later that day, the door was slightly open and I discovered that belongings were missing. The police attended and confirmed that there was no forced entry and that the lock had not been disturbed.

I reported everything to the hotel and provided details of the stolen items and their value. The hotel has since carried out its own internal review, but has told me that it cannot establish how or when the door came to be open or confirm whether another person reported as entering the room was a member of staff.

There was no electronic key-card system and no CCTV covering the area of the apartment, which makes the hotel’s own housekeeping and maintenance records particularly important.

I have been very disappointed with the way this matter has been handled. I am not making an accusation against any individual, as I do not know who was responsible for the theft. My concern is that I left my room while a hotel employee was entering it, and the hotel has not been able to explain how the room was subsequently left unsecured or who had access to it.

I have made a formal complaint and continue to seek reimbursement for the belongings that were stolen. I would strongly recommend that guests take particular care with their valuables and ask the hotel exactly what security arrangements are in place for rooms and access to them.

I hope THB Flora will ultimately take responsibility for properly investigating what happened and provide a satisfactory resolution.

Very disappointing experience with THB Flora

I am leaving this review as a friend of a guest who stayed at THB Flora and experienced a very upsetting incident during her stay.

Most of the belongings stolen were those of her 7-year-old son, which made the situation particularly upsetting. My friend was incredibly distressed by what happened, and it was also very upsetting for her young son.

What has disappointed me most is how the situation has been handled since the incident was reported. My friend has had to repeatedly chase the hotel for answers and is still trying to get a satisfactory resolution.

The incident also left us feeling extremely uncomfortable about the security of our rooms for the remainder of the stay. We found ourselves having to stop housekeeping from entering our room and repeatedly checking back on our room because we no longer felt confident leaving our belongings unattended.

A holiday should be a time to relax, but this situation caused a huge amount of worry and stress for everyone involved.

I appreciate that the hotel cannot simply identify individual employees or make accusations without evidence. However, when something this serious happens to a guest, I would expect the hotel to investigate thoroughly, communicate clearly and do everything possible to reassure the family.

As a friend, it has been difficult to see how much this has affected my friend and her son, especially when they should have been enjoying their holiday.

I sincerely hope THB Flora takes the matter seriously and provides my friend with a satisfactory resolution.

Our first family holiday abroad turned into a complete disappointment at THB Flora. The lack of hygiene across the property is shocking. We even encountered a huge cockroach right in the middle of the aisle inside the hotel’s supermarket!The room cleaning service was also very poor. They barely made the beds in a sloppy way, and they only changed the towels whenever they remembered. A coffee stain on our counter was left completely untouched by the cleaners until the day we checked out. To make matters worse, the cleaning staff do not speak a word of English, making communication impossible, and they simply refuse to assist you if they don't understand.We paid for Half Board, but we were shocked to discover hidden charges even for water (!) during dinner. They strictly forbid you from bringing your own water to the table, forcing you to pay extra to drink a glass of water with your pre-paid meal. The staff had been arrogant when we complained on the issue and unhelpful. Unfortunately, this place has no respect for paying customers and families. Our experience was totally disappointing, if you expect good service and relaxing holidays, this place is not for you and your family.
