The Seaside Los Jameos Playa boosts some excellent facilities including two spectacular freshwater outdoor pools incorporated within the landscaped palm-garden; ensuring you unwind and relax in the Canarian sun.
The comfortable rooms are fully furnished with satellite TV, large bathroom with bath, fridge/mini bar, hairdryer, telephone and balcony or terrace.
A true oasis of tranquility can be found at the spa and wellness centre where guests can enjoy the bio sauna, steam bath and outdoor Finnish sauna free of charge. An extensive range of face and body treatments are also available including scrubs, cream baths and massages. Once you've finished being pampered why not relax in the indoor or outdoor relaxation areas or refresh in the experience shower and plunge pool.
An extremely varied entertainment programme is on offer at the Seaside Los Jameos Playa including golf, live music and acts and a free introductory 'sniff-dive' in the hotel's pool from the certified diving instructor who visits once a week. If you decide to venture further out then the resort of Puerto del Carmen is host to an array of appetizing restaurants, exciting shops and quirky bars. As well as providing a haven for relaxing on the long sandy stretch of beach it also hosts an array of watersports and amenities including a theme park and the biggest zoo in Lanzarote.
Superbly situated just 20 metres from Playa del Carmen's golden beach this contemporary hotel reflects the Canarian beauty of Lanzarote with its atrium style lobby and landscaped palm-garden. The two large attractive pools, bio sauna, tennis courts and entertainment program are just a few of the amenities to enjoy.
We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at Seaside Los Jameos and honestly, we would have no hesitation in returning.
We arrived in Lanzarote on an early 06:15 flight from Birmingham and had booked a private transfer, which was brilliant – we were at the hotel in around 10 minutes. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, which we knew would be the case because of our early flight, so we packed our swimwear at the top of our cases and headed straight to the pool.
We travelled as a group of 5, including our 3-year-old granddaughter, and the pool facilities were fantastic. There’s a large main pool which everyone can use, a brilliant children’s pool with a little water park, and another pool with three bigger water slides. We never had a problem getting a sunbed by the children’s pool, even later in the afternoon. We travelled in September, though, so I can’t comment on what it would be like during the school summer holidays.
The rooms were lovely. My son and his family had a family room, which was really spacious, and we had a standard room which was just what we needed. We were on the second floor, on the same level as reception, which was ideal for us. Caroline from Reception also managed to allocate our rooms close together even though we had different room types, which was really helpful.
Before we arrived, our travel agent had contacted reception a few times as my husband is an amputee and we needed to check a few things regarding accessibility, as well as the bed/cot arrangements for our 3-year-old. Caroline from Reception was absolutely brilliant, so helpful and always happy to answer all of our questions. We really appreciated her help before and during our stay.
We also found the hotel very good for anyone with mobility issues, and there were plenty of guests using mobility scooters.
The food was superb. We had a lovely large round table inside the restaurant, which worked really well for us. There were two sections inside for the colder food and another area outside for the hot food, with plenty of choice. Even the fussiest of eaters would be well catered for!
The kids’ entertainment team deserve a special mention. We didn’t use the kids’ club, but we went to the mini disco every night, which our 3-year-old absolutely loved. The entertainment team work incredibly hard and were brilliant with the children. Credit to them, and to all the other staff who work so hard throughout the hotel.
Anna in the restaurant was also lovely – always smiling and so helpful whenever we saw her.
Unfortunately, there was one blonde-haired waitress who was extremely rude to us on one occasion. I didn’t get her name, and apart from this one experience, every other member of staff we came across was friendly and helpful.
I no longer work in travel, but I still have very high standards and do a lot of research before booking our holidays. Seaside Los Jameos definitely lived up to our expectations.
It’s a fantastic hotel for families, but we also noticed lots of adults without children and plenty of returning guests, which says a lot about the hotel.
Would we go back? Absolutely! We’ve had a fabulous holiday and made some very special memories with our granddaughter. ❤️
This is a very good resort perfectly suited for families. Food is very good and plenty of options. Entertainment could be better and what they advertised on a few nights in our 10 day stay did not happen. Only other negative would be the bars are poorly staffed and can take a considerable amount of time waiting at the main pool bar at times up to 20 minutes. They do have other bars on site but only serve a small selection of non alcholic drinks. All in all would give this a 4 out of 5 rating. This is an honest assessment.
We stayed at Seaside Los Jameos with my partner and our 17 month old son, and had the most amazing experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, everything just felt easy, and it set the tone for the whole trip.
We were in family room 2146 with a full sea view. It was plenty big enough for the three of us, spotlessly clean and really comfortable, with more than enough space for all the extra bits that come with a toddler. You can see the aircon units from the restaurants below, but the sea view more than makes up for it, and it was the first thing we looked forward to every morning.
The food was outstanding. So much choice, always fresh, and always high quality. There was something for everyone at every meal, and plenty of fresh cooking options, even for young children, which made mealtimes with our little one so much easier than we expected.
The staff were all so friendly, especially with our little one. Always giving him a smile and putting one on his face, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
The location was fantastic and the hotel was spotless throughout, kept in great condition everywhere you looked.
Our son absolutely loved the slides and the Pepe snack bar, and it quickly became his favourite part of the day. The animation team were great too. Fran came up to him every day and even remembered his name, even though he was too young to go into the Pepe kids club. Those little details are what make this hotel so special.
My only small con is the mini disco at 8.30pm, a bit late for the younger ones, so we didn't make it every night. But when we did, it was the highlight of our night.
We've never been back to the same hotel twice, but I can genuinely see us coming here year on year. It's rare to find somewhere that gets it right for parents and little ones alike.
I've stayed in plenty of 5* hotels, and this beats them all on so many levels.
We created memories that will last a lifetime.

Wouldn't stop me coming back to this hotel necessarily but when you factor in the cost of the hotel, it is almost failing at the last hurdle.
Excellent hotel, friendly staff, fantastic food, brilliant location. The grandson loved the slides in the kids pool area. Just need to speed up the pool bar service to make it absolutely perfect. We are already planning next years return trip.
