As a family of four we have just returned from a week at the blue sea . What a lovely hotel , it was very clean and well kept . Towels were changed everyday which was great . The hotel is in a great location close to the beach, shops , bars and restaurants . Theres also a large supermarket very close by . Behind the hotel is the great mini shopping centre . There’s a lot a really good shops including Zara and footlocker . There’s also a McDonald’s , a rooftop cinema and Jurassic world crazy golf . I would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be booking up to go again .
Fake photos, dangerous wiring and the Jet2 rep thought it was 2 star.
We’re currently at Bluesea Eldorado apartments, so disappointed with the tired, shabby accommodation and facilities. We’re in a 2 bedroom self catering apartment which sleeps up to 6 - but not all 6 could sit down at the same time, and some would have to share plates.
The apartment photos on the Jet2 site are fake/filtered/enhanced - see ours for the reality. Tired decor, chipped tiles, the aircon didn’t work when we arrived and also had to ask for dangerous wiring to be sealed off.
Jet2 site says a deposit is required to use the safety deposit box - actually it’s a fee of 17 Euros for the week. For this you are shown the instructions of how to use it.
There aren’t enough sunbeds in the pool areas and only shades for about half the sunbeds. Lots of sunbeds get no shade at all. The shades are concreted into the ground and can’t be moved. As in other reviews sunbeds are claimed over night/early morning and for most of the day some are empty. A sign says this is not allowed and that towels will be moved after 40 mins but this doesn’t happen. There’s an underpass area where the vending machines are, people use this for much needed shade. Not great.
We’ve made ourselves unpopular with reception asking for the aircon and wiring to be fixed so are not going to cause trouble with sun loungers and shade too!
The Jet2 site also says there’s free wifi but in reality it doesn’t extend to all apartments and if you can get access at all is very basic.
Everything is clean, there are lots of friendly housekeeping staff around. The snack bar is busy and staff are friendly there too - there is only one copy of the menu though so you have to queue to look at it 😁.
The Jet2 rep has given us the option of moving accommodation with a cost of £150 admin fee plus the difference in price with the new place. She was surprised to find this place is 3 star and said she thought it was 2. If it was cheap and cheerful it would be fine but it isn’t. We’re astonished by the positive reviews.
Like most people this is our one annual holiday, so disappointed with Jet2’s dishonest rating and description of this place when we’ve previously had great holidays with them.
We have just returned home from a 6 night stay in these apartments. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment.
The apartment was extremely spacious with a lovely large balcony looking out over the pool and another balcony off the bedrooms. We had a bit of trouble with 1 of the toilets not flushing and also the toaster didn't work but both of these problems were sorted very fast once we let reception know! The apartment was very clean but didn't have any sweeping brush which meant you had to wait for the cleaners to come if you dropped any crumbs or anything on the floor!
You also only got 1 key for the apartment and had to pay a deposit for a second key which was refunded on check out ! There is also a back gate which is a shortcut over to the shopping centre, we used this the first day and when we came back we couldn't get back in as the gate was locked so we had to walk around to the front entrance to get back in ! I think you also need a key for this but we felt it should have been mentioned at check in because there was no information at the gate!! But it wasn't a problem as we didn't go to the shopping centre again after that anyway!
The pools were lovely but had very little sunloungers around them considering how big the complex is. We never got a sunlounger for the whole week we were there. Everyone seemed to be putting their towels out the night before and this seemed to be allowed!! On two different nights we were sitting on our balcony at around 11.30pm and saw loads of people putting their towels down then !!
The staff here seemed lovely and there was a blonde lady and an English man on reception who were extremely helpful and very friendly.
The location of these apartments is fabulous, you are near everything and they felt very safe so for this reason I would definitely return here again!!
Fabulous location, right in between the old town and new town on a slight hill. Very close to all shops, bars, restaurants and beach. Staff were all very nice and everywhere kept clean and tidy with room service most days. The only downside for me and something that people need to be aware of is that the photos shown on the holiday web sites of the rooms aren't a true representative of all rooms. Whilst there are some more modern, light and airy rooms within the complex, our was definitely one of the older style rooms that was rather dark and a bit gloomy, although it was very spacious. Another point to mention is that some of the holiday companys mention this hotel having "a restaurant serving buffet style breakfast and an a la carte evening menu. The restaurant actually closed down during the pandemic and never reopened. There is only a poolside snack bar on site serving snacks and drinks. I feel that people need to be made aware of this.
When we arrived I was worried but what a lovely resort. It's was clean yes some of the things in the room looked a bit run down but it was clean. The cleaners came in a lot and changed towels etc and we had a lovely view of the sea and pool. The pool area was always been cleaned and was a lovely spot ,annoyingly had to get up about 6:30 every morning due to everyone putting their towels on beds. The area was great and not far from the shops and shopping mall everyone at reception was very friendly and even had somewhere to store your luggage while you waited to go home.
