Hotel Floresta

We had a lovely family holiday at the Hotel Floresta. A great hotel with restaurants, shops and the beach close by. The rooms were really spacious and clean, with a good sized balcony. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast was good with something for everyone. The main pool area was a good size and there were plenty of sun loungers (we stayed in mid July). I would definitely stay again.

We stayed here 12th-22nd July a family of four, our first trip to this part of Lanzarote. Arrival at Arecife airport at 9.30pm all went well, lots of EES kiosks and we breezed through. Private taxi transfer which took ten minutes. Reception staff were really welcoming and food had been left out in the restaurant for late arrivals which was a first and a nice touch. We had a one bed ground floor apartment, probably the furthest away from the main hub but we were happy with that as it was quiet with no one walking past. I had emailed ahead and asked to be in the quieter part. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. All staff we met, reception, cleaners, restaurant and bar were helpful, friendly and hard working, no complaints. Food was a good standard for a 3 star hotel, we normally go 4 star and were really surprised at the quality. Plenty of choice, and yes there was pork but also chicken, fish, beef. I am surprised at anyone saying they struggled to find something to eat. We were AI and ate here daily and even our fussiest ten year old found something ! Food was always fresh, hot, replenished quickly with a good choice. My only gripe was restaurant was all inside so at busy times was very noisy. Main pool was huge, loads of sun beds and yes the usual bed reserving went on, but we always found two which is all we needed, don't need them for kids ! All communal areas were clean and tidy at all times. The world cup was on during our stay and the hotel showed the matches in the lounge. We did go twice to see some entertainment at 9pm but no one showed ! The evenings around the bar and lounge area were noisy, lots of children running about, people drinking, reminded me a bit of a social club vibe, so not really for us, we preferred to go out after dinner for a nice walk along the promenade and get a drink at one of the many bars. But there was no trouble, no roudy behaviour that we saw. Luckily the hotel accomodates not just English but there was German, French, Dutch etc so a nice mix of nationalities which kept the atmosphere pleasant at all times. The location was excellent with restaurants, bars, shops and the beach all within minutes walk. Walk into the centre of PDC takes around 45 minutes but there are regular buses. Rancho texas a must visit, we took a taxi and got there ten mins before it opened. Submarine too was great, and the walk to Calero from PDC was lovely along the cliffs. I would highly recommend Hotel Floresta, perhaps not for couples during school hols as very busy and noisy. We would stay again happily and thank all the staff for making us feel welcome.

Great location with bars and restaurants very close, Very chilled out atmosphere at the hotel plenty of sun beds even around the main pool. Our room ( G107 ) was very nice and clean with plenty of room. Cleaners were very good and came every day, sheets and towels changed regularly. We were half bored and all meals were good and we both found something to eat every time. The tables were kept clean and the staff all worked hard to keep the food coming. The hotel is very good value and we would definitely come back.
