This appealing beach aparthotel enjoys an idyllic setting in Puerto del Carmen on the inviting island of Lanzarote. The complex is located a mere 150 metres from the attractive sandy beach and countless shopping and entertainment venues can be found in the vicinity. The hotel is just 2 kms from the vibrant centre of Playa de los Pocillos and a bus stop can be found just 500 metres from the hotel, offering ease of access to other areas of the island. This modern complex welcomes guests with a relaxing air of peace and serenity. Guests are invited into the stylish surroundings of the lobby where warm hospitality and excellent service abound. The apartments are beautifully appointed and come complete with modern amenities for guests' convenience. Guests will appreciate the complex's wide array of exceptional facilities, which have been designed with comfort and enjoyment in mind.
Spacious and clean rooms, comfy beds, decent food, nice pools, great location, friendly staff We would recommend Floresta apartments if you are looking for a quiet pool/beach holiday with the option of taking various excursions as it's close by to several other main resorts easily accessible by local taxi. Food was decent and varied but plenty of restaurants close by if you fancy a change. Also Spar shop on site for drinks and icecreams if you aren't all inclusive. If visiting again, I would stay here.
Great location and a very clean and well-maintained complex. Large pool great and plenty sunbeds, although you get the usual reservers out at 6am or even the night before, armed with their towels. Food in the restaurant was average with not much variety: we wouldn't go all inclusive again as we had to eat out for tea a lot. You’re OK if you like pork. Otherwise a nice apartment overlooking the pool with good facilities.
This was our second visit to the hotel as a family, and we were really looking forward to coming back. The location is perfect, being so close to the beach and just a lovely stroll away from the shops. It’s a great base for a family holiday and we really enjoyed the area. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing this time around. On two occasions, the chicken was served raw, and we also experienced some fish that was not properly cooked. This was particularly concerning, and we felt the food quality and variety could definitely be improved. As this is a family hotel, we would also have liked to see more options available for children. The sunbeds were fairly easy to get if you were prepared to wake up before 7am, although we did notice some guests reserving the best spots with parasols as early as 5:30am, which was a little frustrating. One of the highlights of our evenings was spending time at Marco’s Bar opposite the hotel. We had some lovely cocktails there, and the kids absolutely loved the slushies and ice creams. We also had pizza there on our last night, which was really nice. Overall, we still enjoyed our family holiday and love the hotel’s location, but compared with our first visit, we felt that the food and choice could have been much better this time.
The rooms are very basic in terms of décor and furnishings, but they are a really good size, which is one of the things we love about this hotel. We had a one-bedroom room with a sofa bed and a balcony overlooking the pool. For a family, the extra space makes a big difference and we never felt too cramped. The room was cleaned daily, and the floors were mopped by the housekeeping staff, so overall it was kept nice and clean. The air conditioning was unfortunately an issue during our stay, breaking twice. This meant having to keep going back to reception to get it sorted. On one occasion, it broke at around 11pm, by which time the engineers had gone home, so unfortunately there was nothing that could be done until the following day. The new swipe cards are a good improvement. Previously, we had an actual key, so we liked the convenience of the cards. We did hear about an unfortunate incident during our stay where someone’s room had reportedly been broken into and some devices were stolen. We didn’t hear much about the circumstances, as it was mainly something that was being passed between guests in the dining hall, so we can’t comment on the details. However, it was understandably concerning to hear about. The dining hall itself can feel quite cramped, particularly because of the layout of the tables and chairs. We also had one disappointing experience when we arrived for dinner and needed a table for six. On previous visits, staff had always been very happy to move or adjust tables so that our family could sit together. Unfortunately, on this occasion, one member of staff was quite rude and refused to help us. We asked another member of staff, who was absolutely lovely and very helpful, and sorted it out for us without any problem. Thankfully, this was the only negative experience we had with the staff, as the majority were incredibly friendly, cheerful and helpful. Tables are also cleared and cleaned pretty quickly during meal times. The pool bar food was average. They had changed the chicken nuggets since our previous visit, which unfortunately meant our AuDHD son wasn’t happy with the change, but we were able to find something else for him to eat. The drinks are okay but not the best. However, you can ask for a freshly made cocktail rather than having the premixed option, which is definitely worth doing.
On the second day of our stay, we also noticed some syringes with needles and broken glass in a corner close to our room. I reported this to reception straight away, and thankfully it was dealt with promptly — by the time we returned to our room, the area had been cleaned up. Although it was concerning to see, we were pleased with how quickly the staff responded once it was reported.
We hope these areas improve, as we would love to return again in the future.
Just got back from 10 days at Floresta, it’s our second time staying at this hotel and we will definitely be returning next year.
Hotel staff are very helpful and provide a 24 hour service. When you check in in the middle of the night they have a meal ready for you, will call you a taxi, give you information on bus services and generally help you with whatever you need.
Housekeeping staff clean rooms every day to a high standard and are very polite.
Best of all the hotel actually has more than enough sun loungers for the amount of guests staying.
We never reserve them as we do go out in the mornings and return afternoon and there was plenty of loungers.
Evening entertainment was a big hit with my son.
Great location and great holiday
This is our fourth time staying at Hotel Floresta, and it never disappoints. The place is spotless, the staff are always helpful and friendly, and the whole complex has a relaxed, welcoming feel that makes every stay easy and enjoyable.
The rooms are kept very clean and are surprisingly spacious. We stayed in a one‑bedroom apartment, which also has a good‑sized pull‑out bed if needed. There’s a Spar just outside the hotel for bits and pieces if you’re not going all‑inclusive — we’ve never gone all‑inclusive here because there are so many great restaurants along the beachfront to choose from.
The pool area is lovely with plenty of space around it, and we had no issues getting beds at any time. There’s something for everyone: safe available, mini‑golf, tennis, and daily activities like water polo, darts, pool games and bowls. What we really appreciate is that there’s no loud pool music or constant announcements — Floresta just gets on with things and lets everyone enjoy their holiday their own way.
The apartments are two‑storey, so access is easy. It’s only about 15 minutes from the airport by private transfer, and there’s a taxi rank right outside if you fancy heading into Puerto del Carmen. Marcos Bar just outside and plenty of restaurants are just a short 5‑minute walk away.
And of course — don’t forget to feed the parrots!
Hotel Floresta continues to be one of our favourite places to stay in Lanzarote. Already looking forward to the next visit.
