This place is a hidden gem just up a hill away from the hustle but walking distance down to the more lively areas… it’s so calm & peaceful here it’s set out like a lovely little village no banging doors to worry about & the Pool is so perfect & so easily accessible. I was only here 5 days for my first solo trip but I’m so thankful I picked Cassus Heddy as I felt so safe & so looked after! All the staff were so kind & lovely & there is the cutest cats too. I will definitely be back Im missing it so much already as Im back to dreary Scotland & missing the beautiful palm trees there… thanks again! Joanna from Scotland xx
This hotel is terrible, the reception staff are not welcoming at all, don’t think they know what customer service is. Every time you ask them for any help or enquire about anything, it’s like your bothering them. also this hotel will not give you a key for the safe as they say they don’t work but after asking about a millions times, magically they found the key for our safe for our room. You only get one pillow too and asking for one well, it’s hard work. The rooms only get changed every two days and they never change the sheets just make the bed for you, same with the towels. Make sure you ask for pool towels at reception otherwise you will not receive any. The food does tasty good and breakfast is ok but if your going half board or full, there is not lot of variety of different food or not a lot of food at all, just one meat and fish per night, pasta, some sort of potato, fruit and cake and that’s about it. The bar staff are friendly but a bit slow. At dinner, you have to go to the bar to get a drink, no one will come up to you to see if you would like a drink. The swimming pool is clear but the sun beds are worn and the outer pool area (where sun beds are) is not swept and glasses left around, also there’s only two umbrellas for the whole pool area, so if you haven’t got one in the morning, you will get nothing. Same with the toilets they are clear but not check throughout the day so get messy. At the end of my stay we had a late flight so asked if we could extend the time with our room, twice i asked on the day before we were leaving and no one could help us. (tell us if we could have the room longer or not). also had a early flight reception staff didn’t tell us where to places our luggage so had to take it to the pool and wait for our room, same on the leaving no information given where we could leave our luggage and also if they had facilities to to get changed. The pool bar closes at 5 and the lifeguard also goes with people still in the pool at the same time. Due to this being a disable friendly hotel i wouldn’t recommend it. if you don’t like hills don’t not come here lol. as far away from the town centre.
We had a wonderful summer holiday at Casas Heddy. The rooms are spacious with large wet room bathrooms. My children made friends in the pool, and spent hours in there.
The food is great, and there additional included activities of mini golf, and boules which became quite competitive!
It's around a 15 minute walk into a very bustling town centre with an extensive modern town, and a very scenic old town. Lots of choice of restaurants too.
The staff are really lovely, and service is great. Would definitely recommend. It is also peaceful, and very relaxing. You can always get a sunbed.
Thanks to Olaf and his wonderful team Rowan
A lovely, healthy hotel. Rooms very clean and big but the showers have no doors so the bathroom gets very wet. Breakfasts are very nice with a fresh egg station, cooked food, cereal, fruit and pastries. The evening meals are not quite to the same standard. The food is a bit cold and not plentiful. There are not a lot of options and are very repetitive. There are labels on the food but they do not mark what is vegetarian and so my sister struggled with this a bit. The coconut chocolate cake one night was sensational though. The food is quite healthy with it being a health resort (blended kale and spinach smoothies in the morning and a salad bar.) The staff are very lovely especially those on the bar and behind the egg station. The hotel is very accessible, there were several wheelchair users during our stay which were catered for. There is a ramp into the pool with a wheelchair to get people in and out which I have not seen before. Although I did not require accessibility it was nice to see all guests being included. The hotel was quiet (16-23 August) and was not a fight for sunbeds which was lovely. The pool is not very deep but still enjoyable and relaxing. The gym is very pleasant with actual equipment rather than a treadmill in a random room. The back entrance is very helpful as it saves you walking all the way around the hotel to get to the town. The hotel is situated on a very steep hill which is a bit of a trek in the heat but worth it. A very lovely stay, thank you.
This hotel is lovely and we would definitely return. A few minor things like we needed to request an extra pillow, the bar closes 10.30pm, they don't state when the pool bar closes and staff just vanish. I think having times for the bar, meals ect would be helpful to be on display. Note the health suite is closed over the weekend. If you are a light sleeper, take Earplugs due to the main door opening to the walkway in some rooms. The matress i had was not comfortable and my room was dsrk, but my friends room was lovely and mattress memory foam.
Our stay All the staff were lovely and helpful 😊 we ate out a lot but enjoyed the breakfast and dinner when we did attend.
The rooms were clean and the overall hotel was also clean
No issues getting a sunbed
Peaceful and very accessible
Walk is down a hill to town but steep going back up. Taxis are available and cheap! Also only 6min from puerto calero in a taxi which has a market Tuesday and Friday. I also went on a boat trip from there which was amazing
The surroundings are so lovely with little water features and a Peaceful atmosphere
I could not find the back gate and ended up lost :( but that's maybe my poor sense of direction
Thank you for a lovely stay and we will definitely be back.
We also met such a lovely kind lady who let us use her shower before our flight as our check out was 12. Thank you 😊
