Bakour Lanzarote Splash

I want to first start of by saying, the hotel cleanliness is amazing! Every morning the pool is properly cleaned. My room over looked the pool and every morning bang on 5am them pools were being cleaned, rooms cleaned everyday, bedding changed every day and fresh towel every day. The slides for kids are amazing! The in a line, one after the other so it literally is so nice to sit at the side and be able to relax and able to see your kids the whole time. All this being said, the bad out ways the good for me, its very sad as because of the following two things we wouldn't return. Food on the all inclusive wasn't great at all, dont get me wrong, If you could find something you liked it was cooked lovely, however that was very few and far between, I am by no means a picky eater so for me to have trouble finding something, was a shock. The snack bar through the day was just ques, I think if they did more food at the restaurant that some what resembled the snack bar food, wait times wouldn't be so bad throught the day. The last thing that put us of completely was the entertainment, I understand your in a different country but unless you was Spanish or French, you didnt really get a look in with the entertainment. It was sad because this was our children's first holiday and they didnt get to enjoy the day time or night time entertainment because of the staff not speaking English at all. Whilst the staff was all lovely when spoken to, they was more drawn to the French and Spanish.

I can honestly say, if your looking to come to this hotel, the cleanliness and pools for kids are th3 best! However my advice, dont come all inclusive and when you do come plan to go out at night.

The only good thing about this hotel was the pool food was awful drinks ie slush in tiny cups water the alcohol was poor we went All Inclusive didn’t think you can go wrong with breakfast I was wrong it was disappointing went out for dinner every night the entertainment if that what they call it was shocking😩 The room are ok had to ask for extra bath towels. The pool stuff who were never there watched a small boy off of the frog slide & burst this month open no pool assistant there to watch the boy was climbing on the outside of the frog slide & fell off We had a late flight no shower rooms to get dressed so we had to use the toilets to get ready for the airport The guys who worked in the drinks van were really nice Levi & Kevin 🙌 The guy who worked in the snack bar was so rude 😡 WOULD I BOOK OR RETURN TO THIS HOTEL DEFINITELY NOT

1st off the hotel is beautiful 9/10,v.clean, saw a few ants&that’s all.The most mess is made by the people not picking up their cups,plates etc but they have staff on hand for this but if every1 picked up after themselves it would be a 10.2ndly,the staff.Wow Bakour you would be lost without them.amazed at how great animation crew was,Danni &javi &thibaut were fantastic. Me&husband did a sangria lesson with javi, thibaut &2ladies&it was great.Very funny&really appreciated they spoke in French,Spanish&English so we all understood.Javi did a fitness class in pool which I enjoyed &even kids joined in.thibaut played chess with my eldest for hours which we really appreciated&he really enjoyed!They also bring the Matt out in the pool every other day which is a HUGE hit with the kids&some adults lol!Danni did archery with the kids&games which they loved.My kids were never bored, age 15.12&8. &the life guards! Especially ones in the pic r AMAZING, they were fantastic with my kids i was never worried my kids weren’t safe&after hearing about a drowning in the past I was concerned but no need they were fabulous.They played with the kids&husband haha &we miss them lots already!If this hotel didn’t have the animation team or these life guards we wouldn’t come back.They make the hotel 1000% we can not thank you all enough for how hard you work&how dedicated u are 2making guests happy. &how much you made our holiday! The staff in the restaurant & bar staff are also amazing. The only negatives now… The hotel is situated in a great location, lidil around the corner, mc Donald’s 10 mins away, pharmacy next door, however you are at the top of a hill - if you have mobility issues & if you want to go to restaurants at the bottom-get a taxi it’s about 4 euros.U can ask the hotel 2order you one also.other critique from us was the food.it was hit or miss.All inclusive and the snack bar was 100% a hit and desserts in the restaurant but found the food in the restaurant wasn’t really to our taste, only went for breakfast x1 &didn’t see sausages, bacon&scrambled egg I’m sorry wasn’t worth the walk to breakfast.So I just left it.But I’ve heard so many other people say the weeks before we went the food was amazing so maybe it’s change of staff/last of seasonal foods-not sure.But for us because there’s the snack bar&restaurants close by it isn’t a huge deal.The other negative I’m afraid is the reception staff, when checking in it took forever, bare in mind 2 adults 3 kids been out 12 hours just want our room&the check in process was unnecessarily long.This was a guy when we arrived.Now upon checking out or any other time we needed reception there was an older woman,blonde hair. Again, so slow!People are checking in we are awaiting and waiting just to ask for a taxi to be ordered or something minor and she’s talking for England to other guests. I also wasn’t happy on the last day she left out suitcases and bags next to the reception when another guest said there’s a room near the toilet they’re meant to be put in. I do feel as someone whose worked in reception in hotels in the England before, I know there’s a lot to do but I do think acknowledge other persons in ques, and try speed up or come back to the first person when a Que waiting for a taxi or one man just wanted a pair of scissors for two mins. Oh and lastly on the last day we were just zipping up our suitcase and had a lady at 12.05 tell us we are waiting for the room. Check out 12. I said yes we are leaving, she says we have next family waiting and we need to clean the room. No problems we are going now. She said you have 10 mins. Literally 2 mins later cleaning there tapping her foot. I get it as I say I’ve worked in hotels. But just little things that niggle me.entertainment In the evenings were also hit and miss. Saxophone man - ace, magic show - very poor, kareoke night was ok but massively orientated to French & we had a dance act one night which was also good. Other than that this hotel is amazing!we look forward to coming back in 2027! Thank you for the holiday we all needed! :) <3
