For all this we wanted to inform you that we have decided, for the best achievement of this repair and above all to avoid inconvenience to our customers and partners, proceed to the temporary closure of this pool from the day 12/11/2020 with an estimated duration of 1 month. We are delighted to inform that the hotel will have another 2 swimming pools available and all the services will run as normal within the new reality adapted to the Covid-19 under the program Stay Safe with Melia.

Just returned from our 5th visit and returning on the 1st November with family for our 6th, love this place, the rooms are spacious with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space, decent hairdryer, fridge and tea making facilities, Meals were amazing with one of the best breakfast choices I've ever seen on AI Location couldn't be better, Matagorda is very flat and we hired a mobility scooter so that Hubby's arthritic knees wouldn't stop us getting out and about. I can't comment on the entertainment staff as we had no children with us and we're over 60 so they largely ignored us, the rest of the staff are very pleasant and hardworking, nothing was too much trouble for them. My only niggle was the sunbed situation, we like to have breakfast about 8:30 and historically would then get a sunbed about 9 and enjoy an hour of peace and quiet reading my Kindle before the pool opens, can't do that now,I understand the reasons behind it but not being able to lie on a sunbed until halfway through the morning is a bit much, it should be 1st come 1st served not a mad dash at 10 am. Apart from that we had another perfect holiday and look forward to returning
I really don't understand how someone can find something to complain about. From the staff to the facilities everything was great. The room was nice, clean ,quiet with a hairdryer and kettle. Food was delicious and there was plenty to choose from. The self-service stations were brilliant. Easy access to San Miguel beer, soft drinks, wine and sangria without queues. The staff are always helpful and smiling. Special mention goes to Monika and older gentlemen (I'm sorry don't know the name) from reception. When you have a late flight you can still enjoy the day there and on the end you can use the shower in the room just ask in reception. Location is right on the beach and has everything you need close by. Btw Cockroaches are a completely normal part of the ecosystem in the Canary Islands due to their hot, sub-tropical climate. It doesn't mean hotel is unclean so please have that in mind and don't blame the hotel because everyone is working very hard and hotel is exceptionally clean. They don't bite and they're more scared of you! Fantastic hotel!
Kris is excellent at what he does. He made the cocktail experience very enjoyable. Very clear instructions and good humour. Very recommendable. Nathan's presence added to the experience. Very polite.
Very good experience Great explanation while also having a great time and loads of laughs! Highly recommend Kris for any mixology classes!
Our last night, and before the holiday blues kick in too much I would just like to drop a few lines down about the fantastic time we’ve all had here. The hotel firstly is in a great location. Right next to the beach and the coastal walk. The rooms and facilities are great. Sure some people will say it could do with an up date in places but personally I loved it. We had a sea view and I’m gonna is it so much. Food and drinks were great. Had no problem finding something to eat and drink each day. The staff were lovely and ever so friendly. But I have to give a special shout out to Nathan and the entertainment team whom have made this holiday extra special. They’ve literally had us creased every day and have added an extra star for sure.
To anyone considering coming here. I would thoroughly recommend it. You’ll have the best time with your family and friends. We’re hoping to be back soon
