Just returned back from 11 nights in 2 bed appartment on a B&B board.the hotel the staff the cleaners i can not fault at all.the lady in the shop downstairs is lovely and friendly and the shop sells lots of essential stuff.Rafa the lifeguard by the pool whos been there for the last 4 visits of ours at least is a nice chap always says morning and a nice smile too.we love costa sal and have really taken too it.just a few minor issues some mornings the food all though very tasty and well cooked was cold.and the rooms are looking a little tired marks on floor poor shower fitting causing leaks.one big possitive was the 2 girls doing entertainment by the pool day and night was great and a real asset to costa sal.we couldnt give less than 5 stars because of how hard all the staff work and we will return very soon thankyo costa sal for a great stay
Our third time staying here at the hotel and would definitely recommend. Very clean and the facilities first rate. Looking to book for our winter holiday next year and already competitively priced so good value as well.
The hotel is situated in matagoda which is about a 20 mins bus ride to the main area of peurto del carmen & only 20 mins or so from the airport. The hotel & area around the hotel is lovely & clean, & well kept, there’s two great pools. Our apartment was very clean & spacious with everything we needed even English tv. We went half board the breakfast & evening buffet was good . Great short stay we would return if we wanted a quiet base.
As always, such a wonderful stay. Fourth time we have been and just brilliant. My mum loved coming here and was the reason we knew the hotel at all - she passed away in January and it was like she was here with us. Just lovely. Close to the airport and PDC. Easy to call taxis from reception or can take the bus right outside the door. We went last week of August/beginning of September and it was busy but quiet. Mostly older families but still lots of kids around as well. We were in a 2 bed apartment near the top pool and it was great. Our terrace was on the ground floor and faced the road which was great to watch the planes landing at night. We went half board and it is always worth it. Good variety with some themed bits each night. Would recommend for kids as well. Our room was cleaned every second day and towels changed each time which was nice. Never busy at the top pool, we would sit out each day and no rush for beds with plenty. Salt water pool and cold !!! Pool bar opens at 1 and has a large enough menu, not the cheapest but normal hotel prices. Shop downstairs, also hotel prices. There is a lower pool and a gym and spa but we didn’t really leave the main area so can’t comment on these. We love coming here ! Really quiet in the evenings. There was some poolside entertainment and evening entertainment which finished the week we were there. The two ladies doing this were so nice and enthusiastic even when participation was low due to fewer kids around. Service at breakfast and dinner is great. Really no complaints as per usual :)
We have really enjoyed our stay at Illunion hotel. The accommodation is lovely - clean, with great space. We had a two roomed apartment, which was perfect for us as a family of three. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The pool area great with plenty, at least in September, of sun beds available. The value was also excellent. Although we don’t have any disabilities, it was really great to see how much effort has been made to make the hotel accessible. It is located in a very quiet resort. Later checkout at a lower price would have been welcome, so too a complimentary room safe. But both minor points - if you’re looking for somewhere clean, comfortable and I’m a great climate it’s fab. Lanzarote isn’t on the whole beautiful, but it offers a great getaway for rest. We were self catered so can vouch for food at the hotel!
