The apartments are beautifully-appointed, offering a haven of peace and quiescence away from the bustle of daily life.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Maybe one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. WiFi non existent, nearly ever electrical item needed replacement. Reception staff taking absolutely Azeri accountability for anything wrong. The cleaner left neat bleach all over our bathroom one day then as I lent into the sink to use the mirror my new top was absolutely ruined with white permanent bleach marks. Receptionist basically accused me Of lying and wouldn’t even admit their cleaner used bleach but it smelled of it all over the room. They told me to wash it out which is laughable eith a permanent bleach mark.
This was our first self catering experience as a family and we really enjoyed it. Some of the in-room facilities were dated but everything worked, everything was clean, and the apartments were so spacious! Things like washing up liquid and toilet rolls are supplied which is always useful.
There isn’t any air con, but fans can be rented for the week, it was €16 plus a €10 refundable deposit; although given Lanzarote is generally quite breezy we found just opening the windows worked just as well! We never got bitten, I know the thought would put some people off opening the windows at night.
The pool area was thoroughly cleaned every morning and was very quiet for mid-August; no running or saving sunbeds which was a huge plus.
Staff were helpful, food in the snack bar was standard but good value; pizzas in particular were great and an easy takeaway option. Drinks on offer were good and inexpensive.
There is a self service laundry available, €6 for the washer and €6 for the dryer, but we just dried our stuff on the balcony as there is a clothes airer. Knowing we could wash clothes meant we could bring less luggage which is always a bonus when juggling kids and prams etc!
It is around 25 minutes walk into the main square, we’d often walk down and get a taxi back, we never paid more than 5 euros.
There are some bars, restaurants and shops a 10 minute walk away to grab essentials and enjoy a meal closer to home - Parallel World was a particular highlight for us, as was the Camel tapas restaurant across the road.
We had a late flight back and although late checkout wasn’t available, we could use the hotel facilities all day - there are toilets and showers next to the pool area which meant we could freshen up before our journey home and it didn’t feel like we were just hanging around all day which can be challenging with young children.
Overall would recommend, we’re even planning on returning next year.
This hotel is shocking ,come here are wedding anniversary and the rooms are only clean on fourth day only get towels on day of arrival and have to pay 4 euro a towel there for after
Asked many times for late check out and was told no but there is no showering facility to enjoy ur last day
Food is expensive
Washing machine and dryer costs 12 euro each time want to use it
Main lanzarote is stunning and plenty to do , cheap enough for eating and drinking spar supermarket is okay ans has plenty of options
We really enjoyed our stay at the Tabaiba Hotel. The studio was small but spacious enough for two, and most importantly, it was very clean. The rooms are definitely a little dated and the fridge could do with being replaced.
There is no air conditioning, although you can hire a fan from reception. For us, air conditioning would definitely have been a welcome addition, particularly during warmer weather.
All of the staff were lovely and friendly, which really added to the experience.
The hotel is very quiet, which we absolutely loved. There are two small pools and we had no problem at all getting a sunbed.
The hotel is a little way from the main centre, but taxis are around €4.50 and reception are happy to book one for you, so getting around was really easy.
I would say this hotel is ideal for a couples’ break or anyone looking for peace and relaxation. It wouldn’t really suit hen parties or anyone looking for a lively, party atmosphere, as the hotel very much prides itself on being peaceful and quiet.
Overall, a nice little place, clean, friendly and peaceful. 😊
I’ll start by saying that if you’re only looking for somewhere very basic to sleep and shower then Tabaiba is probably fine. That’s essentially how I used it as I spent almost all of my time elsewhere. But if you’re looking for somewhere you’ll actually enjoy spending time during your holiday personally I wouldn’t recommend it. The rooms really need updating and overall I found them quite depressing. Even small things, like the very bright clinical white lighting made the space feel quite harsh rather than relaxing. The sofa in the living area was very uncomfortable, my terrace wasn’t particularly nice and the wardrobe doors didn’t fit properly so there was always a gap even when they were shut. The rooms also get extremely hot and in my experience, were unbearable without a fan. You can rent one from reception for €26 and get €10 back when you return it. Unfortunately reception was closed when I left so I wasn’t able to get the deposit back but the fan itself worked very well and honestly made a huge difference so it was still worth the cost On the positive side, the beds were actually better than I expected and the pillows were probably some of the most comfortable I’ve had in hotels abroad so sleeping itself was fine once the room was cool enough. There are also a few cats that wander around the hotel which I found a pleasant breakup in the stilted atmosphere, they’re very friendly but not overbearing and will leave you if you’re uninterested Reception staff were a bit mixed some were really friendly and helpful while others were much less welcoming I had been quite worried about cockroaches after reading other reviews but over the whole week I only saw one in my room, so that was nowhere near as bad as I had expected. I had also seen quite a few reviews beforehand mentioning concerns about cleaners and belongings which made me a bit wary. I stayed for a week and the cleaners only came into my room once but I personally didn’t have anything go missing and had no issues in that respect. One thing I do think should be made much clearer online is that Tabaiba is split across two separate buildings. The second building is up two flights of stairs and across a road from the main area, which I hadn’t realised from the photos before arriving. My grandad was allocated a room in the other building so we were much further apart than expected. His building didn’t look particularly appealing from the outside but the room was more updated than mine The pool is absolutely tiny. There were no sunbed wars but mainly because there isn’t exactly much of a pool to fight over! I barely saw anyone using it There is a free bus into Costa Teguise at 11am and 4pm with a return bus at around 4:10pm, which is useful. Taxis are also very cheap and I never paid more than around €5, so getting into the centre wasn’t difficult. Overall, I’ve stayed in budget accommodation before and personally I’d put this below what I’d normally consider budget standard. It was fine as a base because I was hardly ever there but I wouldn’t want to spend a full holiday relaxing at the property itself. The rooms and general presentation really need investment and updating
