Sands Beach Resort

Been to sands beach over 15 times,love it there,atmosphere calming and relaxed.The staff are welcoming and the pools are very nice.Would highly recommend sands beach!

We are not long back from Sands beach Resort and I would like to post an honest review for potential people looking to book the hotel. I decided to book a last minute holiday for myself and my four year old, booking everything separately. We arrived late Thursday night, the reception staff were lovely. I booked half board and we made it in time for tea. Our room on arrival was old fashioned and outdated but I didn’t care as long as it was clean. We discovered 3 cockroaches in our bed along with them in the living room and bathroom. I understand it can’t be helped in resort however they were everywhere. The reception staff were very nice and changed us room to a newly refurbished room which was lovely and clean.( however maybe being a bit nit picky but didn’t offer or help a single mum with suitcases and an extremely tired 4 year old move room from one plaza to the next) We were half board and the food was fantastic along with the restaurant staff. The pools were fine- we spent most of the time out at the beach or days out however we enjoyed the pool at the lido. We did not go up to the kids club but attended the kids disco 2 nights where it was one lovely lady with a speaker dancing in the bar and around 2 children in total. I decided I’d rather spend the same money enjoying a glass of wine on the beach front. I understand it’s going through renovations however Walking around the resort it was outdated and unclean at parts. I personally would not return to this resort but if you would like a cheap deal to sit in the sun it’s for you.

This was our second visit to Sands Beach Resort on a family holiday. While our 2 bed apartment was dated, it was clean & well serviced during our week long stay; towels changed daily, floors mopped & beds changed once during week. Well stocked with plenty of room & storage space for a family of 6. Staff at resort are friendly & helpful. Yes there is a lot of upgrading work happening at the resort at the moment but it didn't impact on our stay here. Pool area clean with plenty of sun beds. There is a construction site next door to the resort where works can be heard during the weekdays but again didn't bother us. The supermarket on site is well stocked but pricier than the local supermarkets. The resort is at the edge of town but within walking distance. Activities were available for adults & kids during day & at night, we didn't partake so can't comment. Is a quiet resort so depends on what you're looking for but suited what our family wanted. The fact we returned again says enough & would certainly consider staying again if returning to lanzarote.
