Just back and gutted to have left after 14 days explains what a fab hols we had. 5 adults, my wife and I plus our 3 adult daughters helping us celebrate our 30th Wedding anniversary. We have been to this fab hotel many times, so experienced about what we like and what we avoid. Let’s go!
Daytime activities
5/5 We stayed around louder pool bar area and joined in games and dancing. Swimming and having a few drinks. Met some fab families too.
Evening entertainment
3/5 We mostly went out, there is lots of fun around. Played bingo, when to bars with entertainment and meals out. The venue is very with no aircon. When we did stay we enjoyed the animation team shows (hairspray) the best.
Food
Breakfast 5/5 probably our fav. My wife is fussy but loved the pancakes. Other girls enjoyed the other variety.
Lunch
4/5 A gentle top up always something to have to have break out of sun. Salad, bowl of chips but plenty of meat dishes.
Dinner
3/5 Not our fav to be honest. Avoided the canary and Spanish nights to go for meals out. But only from experience. I am sure there was food available, but planned to explore. Friday Calvary with yorkshires the best night for us.
5/5 Drinks lots of choice and slushes with or without alcohol very popular
Staff
5/5 amazing happy work extremely hard
Locality
5/5 lots or do walks, sea a stones throw away. Local bars and restaurants favs no1 bar and Cactus jacks where we had a good dance or played bingo.
Rooms
5/5
Constantly cleaned and large size
We had an issue with our shower plug getting blocked and they sent a maintenance guy to fix twice. Eventually sorted but not too much of a bother.
Overall amazing time and will be back. Maybe next with other family members
Thank you again Los zocos
I stayed with my wife and daughter for 11 nights at the end of July 2026.
Our overall view of the hotel was very positive. The hotel grounds are lovely and well kept. Our room was a good size and cleaned daily. Thought the staff throughout the hotel were very good.
The hotel is in an excellent location. The transfer from the airport was short, with the beach and resort nearby.
We went to the quiet pool and never had any trouble getting beds. It did look like it may have been harder to get a bed at the other pool.
I thought the food was generally very nice, with a good selection. The main restaurant did sometimes get very busy and feel a bit unpleasant if you hit peak time but generally was fine. It was exactly as you would expect for an all inclusive buffet. The oriental restaurant was a great feature, offering great food in a much more relaxed environment than most the main restaurant.
While there was sometimes a queue for drinks at the bar I didn’t think it was ever that bad, and lots of the time there wasn’t a queue at all.
The evening entertainment (from the bits we saw) wasn’t great but not unusually so.
Very satisfied with our stay and would be happy to stay again.
Pros ….. location excellent, easy walk into centre by square. Three super beaches 5 mins walk. Everywhere is flat which makes it easy for everyone including young families with prams. Rooms are good size, we were a family of 11 and had two senior suites, which have two bedrooms and a small kitchen . And one junior suite one bedroom with small kitchenette. The balconies for each of the three rooms were spacious and included small table and chairs and also a couple of sun chairs. I like fact that it is only three stories high and they are tiered so none of the balconies were shaded by the one above. Staff, full marks, very friendly particularly in the restaurant which was extremely busy whichever time of day you went, maybe that would be different if you went out of school holiday times. Tables cleared very quickly and re set quickly, all the food was replenished speedily and you were guided to a table to fit the size of your party which was good. Grounds were beautifully kept and there was 3/4. Very spacious swimming pool . Kids entertainers full of enthusiasm., Now to the cons. It’s all very well having fabulous swimming pools, but it was only my grandchildren and their parents who braved it, it was absolutely freezing and consequently there were three of us who didn’t venture in at all. I do think that’s at least one pool should be heated because part of the fun of your holiday is being able to do things that you can’t do at home. I love swimming but was unable to contemplate getting in the water with my younger grandchildren which was a shame. As I mentioned the Restaurant was ran and staffed very well, but maybe because it was so large, it was very like a canteen. Food was hot and cooked well, but one of our party is Gluten intolerant and there is not one area of the restaurant giving a selection of gluten free options. What you were expected to do was look at a small menu the night before and order it for a particular time the following day, obviously that’s not possible when you are out and about in the daytime and you don’t always feel like the thing you ordered the night before so I thought that was very poor., we are not great drinkers and in fact don’t bother in the day at all, but The Wine on offer was served from a pump. The only drink I do drink is white wine and you literally couldn’t touch it it was foul. So I bought small bottles myself from the supermarket next door so that I could have a glass with my evening meal. The beer often flat so I’m told. We ended up going out to eat five nights out of nine mainly to get a better atmosphere and to be able to buy a nice wine or decent beer. You can get an oriental meal in the pirate bar every evening, if you wanted and to be fair that was the best option. But the worst thing about the eating/ drinking experience was there is no comfortable lounge/bar area to have a quiet drink in the evening, everything is concentrated in the entertainment room which is all plastic seating, extremely noisy brightly lit, more like a caravan park clubhouse. As a family, we couldn’t stand it. The only other bar which is where the pirate ship is is, is also completely devoid of atmosphere with harsh lighting, nothing appealing about it at all. Both shut at 11 pm prompt, that didn’t really bother us as we went out more than we were in. and when we came back from an evening Out, we would sit on one of our balconies and play cards and have a chat there in peace.. I personally would not recommend this hotel for the reasons I’ve stated which is a great shame. It wouldn’t take a lot to up their game a bit. Definitely need some TLC on decor, et cetera, and in my opinion is not a four star hotel more like a three.
Just back from our 4th visit and the hotel is still amazing. The hotel is immaculate clean, the pool area is always clean. There brought loads more sunbeds out whilst we were there so had no problem. If you want shaded area or by pool tho you need to get up but if you dont care can always get a space. The staff are so friendly nothing is too much trouble. Food is good what u expect for all inclusive always something to eat. All inclusive drinks are good, cocktails at galleon bar are really nice. My daughter loved the kids club, the animation team were fab. We requested ground floor and we were given this as my mom has mobility issues. Once again a fab holiday.
stayed here in April with my young children. I found out just a few weeks before that there was no lifts and I panicked as I had a 1yr old. However, I emailed them my concerns and requested a ground floor apartment. They said they couldn't gurantee it but they would try. Anyway, they gave us a ground floor and it was greatly appreciated! This was a great stay for the kids, the pool was lovely and there was a good choice of food in the buffet. I found the entertainment abit blah but my 5yr old loved it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We couldn't fault the apartment or the location. I am not one to stay at the same place twice but I would 100% stay here again.
