Great day in the mines would definitely visit again fantastic
Location was a bit out the way , nice apartments but no air con in any of them . Beds were uncomfortable , about a 30 minute walk to main square or roughly €5 in a cab . 1 towel change in a weeks stay is Unhygenic balcony wouldn’t have got mopped or brushed if I didn’t do it , no shop on site , if I was to go back to Costa teguise I would stay near the main square
Apart from being very clean we found a lot of downsides to the place, First of all on arrival we had to carry our cases up several flights of stairs which was not fun at all and we damaged our cases. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was really large however one of the bedrooms had no furniture other than beds so we lived out of our cases for 10 nights. We had gale force winds when we where there and the doors banged and rattled at night, take ear plugs! Was pretty quiet to be fair not a lot happening on a night time. It was at least a 30 minute walk down to the town which meant taxis, you cannot for the love of god get a taxi for more than 4 people so we had to get 2 taxis every time we needed one. You could get food there most of the day, we went for breakfast one day but the grill blew up so after waiting a good 30 minutes we had to get a refund for food, we did not get a complimentary drink or offered anything which was a shame. Other than that there wasn't really much to do there and not much atmosphere, if i was ever going to go back i would stay somewhere closer to town.
Currently staying here, rooms are large and spacious although could do with more drawers/hanging space. No furniture in the bedroom other than a bed they are comfortable. Utensils and kitchen is ok microwave, toaster & hob. Only get cleaned once a week !! It’s set over 2 apartment blocks the one with the bridges is next door only a short walk. Reception staff are friendly & helpful the only nasty person is the pool police ! (Lifeguard)The small woman speaks rude to the kids and if you leave inflatables out she pops them and bins them I watched her and when I confronted her she said she didn’t then said she didn’t understand me, they can’t even see the children’s pool so no point really, The apartments are on a slight hill and it’s a 30min walk to the square, Lidl & spar also 30min walk €5 in a taxi. No play area for kids so only the pool. 5 min walk to the water park that was worth the money. Nearest shop is 10min walk and no bars close by as it’s in a residential area. Bus into purto del carmen is a cheap day out €3, lots of shops and it’s cheaper too. The hotel bar is reasonably priced and the food is good, cocktails are €8.50 no happy hour. Could do with some comfy seating there was 2 sofas but they removed them yesterday. It’s a cheap and cheerful apartments but I wouldn’t come back for more than a few days I would stay more central. Oh no air con but you can hire a fan for £16 a week and the safe was expensive at £48 for 2 weeks.
Check in arrived early due to flight times. Lady on reception was really helpful and friendly. Put our bags in the store room and the receptionist phoned us when the room was ready. Room was very large and clean. Basic but ok for what we needed. Would be better if had air con and more seating. Pool nice pool with plenty of beds we preferred the pool with the bridge as it was quieter. All enjoyed swimming and playing in it. The bar in the hotel was ok reasonable prices and very convenient. Walk to the beach and the square was easy enough and flat so easy on little legs. Lots of bars and restaurants in easy reach. We used the hotel bus to get to thearkwt which was a nice experience. We also went to the water park five mins up the road and had lots of fun Overall a great holiday 🛍🎈⛱
