We stayed here for 9 days this summer and had a pleasant time. Location - fantastic, close to beach, bars, restaurant & water park. Rooms - this is what lets it down in my opinion, the beds were 2 singles put together on wheels and were uncomfortable. The air con was noisy. Sheets are not changed and cleaning minimal. Amenities - nice buffet restaurant and can order food fresh from the snack bar. Good range of drinks, would be nice if did a rose cava as well as white. Pools were ok, various depths but due to size no floaties are allowed. 2 main slides available. Staff are mostly pleasant and work hard. Entertainment- the animation team work hard and my daughter really like Diago. Just a shame some of the activities are repeated, this is an area that could improve in my opinion for those staying more than a week. Overall we had a lovely stay but not sure would return.
We had such a good stay and home to return!
Pros
Cons (not many!)
These are me being picky- we had a great week and hope to return
This was our 5th visit to the newly refurbished H10 Lanzarote gardens and we can confirm we are still in love with the place. We were even joined by our friends this time who enjoyed it as much as we did. The resort is fully wheelchair accessible and even has a hoist chair into the pool. The team went above and beyond this year by organising a raised bed for me to sleep on as every other year I have struggled standing from the lower bed. Also discovering wheelchair users can reserve a sunbed was another plus. The food was always of a good standard, I just wished they advertised what was on the menu a bit better. The only grumble of the week was some staff resorted to using pre made cocktail syrups when making cocktails which were disgusting so we made sure we were served by the more experienced bar staff to guarantee a better cocktail. We look forward to seeing you next year.
Returned from 10 day holiday on Tuesday. Overall we had a good stay. I went with my family, 5 adults 3 children 8 and under. Accommodation was good, We had refurbished suites. Children slept in the main room and beds were comfortable. My real complaint was that there is only one bar serving drinks during the day. Queues were 10 people long and wait times could be 25+ minutes. . I had two conversations with deputy man about this and although the hotel tried some measures to improve the service, it didn’t change. In my opinion the bar is not big enough as only two bar staff can work it. Need at least 3 at the busy times. This would put me off returning to this hotel. Toilets by reception are not good enough for 4* hotel. Food was good but very repetitive.
We had read all the reviews before going and were delighted that they were all accurate. Check in was a smooth process with a friendly welcome. We were also in time for dinner so managed a bite to eat when we arrived which was nice.
Room Our family suite was spacious enough for our family of 4 and I liked the wee kitchenette which was great for snacks. The room was cleaned daily and the cleaner was really helpful when the battery was low on our door. The maintenance team had this fixed super quickly. The towels were also changed regularly which was great!
Pool The pool area was super clean, plenty of beds and we loved the fact that there were life guards on site. The kids loved the slides and also the pool without slides as they could dive down for their sinkers. We never struggled to get a bed either no matter what time we went to the pool.
Food
Buffet was great, always something for all of us. Was a bit disappointed that we could only have water with our evening meal/lunch as we were HB but could have the fruit juice at breakfast. I get not having the fizzy juice but the fruit juices would have been nice. Bar snacks were good, although some days limited as many of the sandwiches were gone. Kids loved the ice cream although the machine broke down which was disappointing but can’t be helped given how much it was used!
Staff
The staff were all fantastic! From reception to restaurant to cleaners to maintenance to entertainment to bar staff. Everyone was friendly and kind! Everyone worked so hard and took real pride in their work which was clearly evident.
Eating Out
We ate at the pizza place across the road Mi Piace and also La Otra at the top of the road past the Spar. Both were lovely but we recommend booking as they were busy. Both reasonable prices as well.
Overall we had a great holiday and would definitely return in the future.
