Grand Teguise Playa

An outstanding hotel providing a marvellous experience from start to finish for our third annual visit, with our fourth in December 2025 already booked.
The rooms - comfortable, spotless, excellent maid service, wonderful views, well soundproofed
The food - as a vegetarian travelling with someone who loves meat and particularly fish, we could not believe the choice for both of us at every meal. Wide variety, fresh, hot (with microwaves available for those who prefer to nuke their food), extensive desserts, catering for wide choice of palettes, for example breakfast had the full range of fruit, cooked/fried foods, cereals, range of breads, and one morning I counted twelve trays of assorted meats and eight of cheeses for the more continental preference.
The staff - warm, friendly, helpful, efficient, from the Dining Room to the Housekeeping Staff to the Bar Staff to the Animation Team. A lovely touch having a welcome drink/Returning Guests drink with Management, as well as a Returning Guests welcome present in the rooms
Interior - the design and planning of this hotel is truly exceptional with its huge atrium. I have never stayed in one with better access and flow
Exterior - the pools and grounds were spotless and beautifully maintained with more than sufficient sunbeds and space.
Location - right on the seashore at the front with shops just across the way at the back, stunning views from all the rooms.
Entertainment -the Animation team were friendly, enthusiastic and seemingly tireless. In the evenings the variety of Nightclub entertainment each night on a two-week rotation were outstanding. This year the addition of a pianist in the lobby area was a very tasteful and pleasant touch.

I have nothing but praise for this hotel and look forward to visiting it again

Outstanding! A perfect place to stay!

Overall our experience/ holiday was amazing. All of the staff are really friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one. The food was really nice with a lot to choose from. The Entertainment was really good. 

 It would be nice if the balconies to the rooms had the recliner chairs like the ones around the pool. Better signage is required in the restaurant to describe the food, sometimes they did not match what you were eating. This is more to help the people who have food allergies.  These are just opinions not complaints.

 Our stay was amazing and we have booked this hotel for December 2025. I would fully recommend this hotel.

Great stay at this amazing hotel

Great sea view rooms fabulous location fantastic heated pool 29degrees 
The all inclusive isn’t as good as other hotels I’ve stayed at just sandwich for snack at the small pool bar & hotdogs & burgers 3.30 to 5.30 which is too near evening meal be Brilliant if thot was on offer earlier I know the restaurant is open at lunch but most people I spoke to would prefer a snack at lunch whilst lazing by the pool also I think there isn’t much food wise for children no ice cream or lollies or any separate food section in restaurants for children but saying all this it suits us as two middle age couples 
Already booked to return this will be our 4th time seems to have a lot of returning customers as when your a returning customer they offer you a 10% discount to book direct, which we have used for the first time Jan 26
We had a returning customer meeting where the owner of the hotel comes to ask questions & feedback for the last two years we have said it definitely needs another pool bar as the pool area is vast and a central bar would be fabulous as it’s a long walk from one end to the small pool bar to carry drinks when wet & slippy she told us that plans are being talked about to introduce a further pool bar 
Around the hotel area are plenty of bars shops & restaurants we go for 10 days & usually eat out around 4 times 
In my opinion the location to beach shops etc is spot on ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh and my husband & friend get discount on golf if you stay here they have a game every year

Fabulous sea views

This hotel basically caters for all inclusive clients, with basic wines & drinks.
Definitely not a four star but three star plus.

Public areas are superb as are the swimming pools & beach. Staff are great, very helpful & friendly.
Rooms are in need of an upgrade, ventilation in bathrooms doesn’t work & there’s a very high risk of scalding in the showers as they are not thermostatically controlled.

The whole hotel is absolutely spotless.

People hog the sun beds from 07:00 placing their towels on them & then leaving. No one removes the towels.

When I asked for a white wine the bartender poured a cheap wine which I didn’t like, when I asked for a better wine as I was paying & not all inclusive he told me that’s was all he had. ( basic cheep plonk for all inclusive guests).
Entertainment in the evening’s was fantastic.
We had a superior room with a sea view, there’s no cushions for the seats on the balconies.
Beds are very comfortable.

Three Star plus ***. Not 4****

We visited over Christmas for 7 nights in a superior room on the 4th floor, excellent sea and pool views. 
Room was cleaned and towels changed every day apart from our penultimate day when it was forgotten by house keeping, we informed reception and they changed the towels. 
In my opinion opinion the food was very good but don’t expect solely British dishes, it’s international cuisine. 
Breakfast was good, plenty of choices and the omelettes are really nice. 
Lunch was nice, especially the kebabs outside.
Dinner was hit and miss, some great food occasionally like the meatballs and the goulash soup but only saw them both once.
Our best meal was the specialty restaurant which was gourmet cuisine and waiter served,
Drinks are pretty average to be honest, I was bored with them after a week, beer is Amstel and I’m not a fan, white wine is just about drinkable and the cocktails are limited on the all inclusive.
Don’t worry about sunbed wars we never experienced any of them, it was easy to find a couple at anytime. Although the beds near the pool bar do get reserved.
Heated pool was a nice touch.
We like playing ping pong and had the table to ourselves all holiday.
We played the mini golf once and its ok for free. 
As many have said it’s the location and staff that make it, I will add the guests also played a big part, we met loads of friendly people who were definitely made Christmas Day a great day.

To summarise I would highly recommend the hotel to mature couples and we would probably return but not on an all inclusive basis as there is so many good restaurants in Costa Teguise.
