Just returned this evening. Unfortunately it is not 4star. Majority of staff excellent, very hard working and all under pressure. Overall appears great at first call. Excellent location, right on beach, next to shops, central for everything. Rooms clean, fresh smelling good size wardrobe and draw space. Bed comfortable but pillows long and slim, not comfortable. Good air conditioning. Inside chair worn with fraying arm. Only one. Twin beds with topper that slips during night. Clean bedding every day. Balcony clean with table and two chairs. No cushion, hard plastic. Bathroom. Delightful big shower, toilet and vanity wash basin. Large wall mirror, extending shaving/make up mirror. Towels very small and not good quality but changed as required. Public internal areas covered in natural greenery but overpowering with considerable dead foliage which drops onto main lounge area and seating. Cleaned everyday but can get messy if breezy. Good lifts to all areas. Stair hand rail worn and sticky. Restaurant (main) buffet service. Unclear labelling if any at all. Do not cater for vegetarian needs. Poor quality and similar variety daily. Gets messy easily and does not give 4 star overall appearance. Can appear off putting. Crockery often not cleaned correctly or wet. Glasses can be showing smears especially around rim. Use nuts without labelling!!! Staff really try hard to clean and clear tables but it just a large canteen with no atmosphere, no air conditioning so gets very warm and uncomfortable. Trolleys carrying dirty used crockery pushed through food areas, sometimes covered with cloth but often not. Main lounge area. Plenty of seating but it’s all low and uncomfortable. Huge pond with large foliage, couple of water fountains which are laughable as they trickle water. Central round stage but acts tend to perform in one direction so often you see only backs or sides in between jungle of plants. Large bar, tables cleared but often need to queue for service. Outside pool bar. Uses plastic reusable cups but these are only rinsed before reuse. Definitely not hygiene friendly!! Plenty of sunbeds if your an early riser, towels start to be left from 6.30am. Whole area needs an overhaul/refit. Walkways crumbling you need foot coverage, tiles missing from all pools, mould on pool walls. Needs a thorough clean and repair. Very very tired but still usable, water warm plenty of showers.
When you arrive at the hotel you will be in awe of the beautiful reception area. The check in was quick and easy, best thing about this hotel is the Food, always hot, varied and tasty, apart from tuna pizza, who puts tuna on a pizza. The pool is heated and was lovely, but could of been a little cleaner, sunbeds are an issue, you have to get up early 8.00am to bag a decent one round the pool, cocktails and drinks and the pool were good, and very good at the main bar, outside the hotel the beach is great, if you like fish and snorkeling then you will be happy. Loads of clubs and bars and shops just outside the hotel. Rooms were clean but the whole place could do with some maintenance. Would highly recommend this hotel and would happily go back.
Beautiful hotel. I was shocked upon arriving at the hotel at how beautiful it is. The photos do not give this hotel justice. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. I usually struggle sleeping when I am on holiday however I have never slept as good when staying here. The balcony doors are also VERY sound proof. The atmosphere of the hotel is lovely.
I personally really enjoyed the food at the hotel and the variety that the hotel offers. It’s rare that you go to a hotel buffet and they offer the variety that this hotel does. I was concerned before arriving due to the bad reviews regarding the food but I personally could not fault it.
I will be returning.
The location of this hotel is fantastic. Easy access to beaches walking and taking buses. The views are the best thing about the location. We have visited Timaifaya Park which was amazing. The superior room had a beautiful view and balcony. The bathroom was excellent and worked very well with shower, toilet and sink basin. Reception Staff were excellent and restaurant staff were very good especially Churro. The 2 Al LA Carte menus were excellent and service by Antonio was excellent. Cleanliness overall was very good. Location priority. Atmosphere was good in areas. Noise levels was very good, no loud music blaring out.
This hotel is in a perfect place for all your need, it's right on the beach. Shops, restaurants car & bike hire right outside the front doors The hotel is spotless & clean, the restaurants are well maintained & stock for every need, it's very clean, the staff are very friendly & helpful. The rotating seats around the main bar are fantastic giving you selection different views of the bar area & stage. The rooms are light, airy & clean, the rooms look out from the balcony over the pools & out to the beach, there nothing more relaxing than laying in bed at night listening to the waves on the beach. The staff in general are all very helpful & friendly. Can't wait till next year for our next stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting stay in Costa Teguise.
