Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Adults only hotel which is a huge selling point!! Quiet and intimate, peaceful and relaxing. We knew that there was no air-con when we booked, and the first 2 nights were hell!! At 30 degrees!! However we managed to get a fan for the third night which was a blessing. And we also discovered that leaving the balcony door wide open and the bedroom window wide open, cooled the apartment down no end, and with the Lanzarote breeze, it was like a dream of cool air and breeze down through the corridor of the apartment. We were on the first floor so it was very safe to do this. A deposit was needed for a fan which is returned at the end. The only problem is there were only two plug sockets in the bedroom on either side of the bed, so the fan was literally right on top of you due to the cable being quite short. We discovered a shop down the road which sell extension leads but that was on our last day!! The hotel food was superb and a buffet style. We went B&B self catering but had dinner a couple of times for a cost of 20 euros each, eat as much as you like. Very clean everywhere. Staff friendly and professional. No sun bed wars as the pool is locked until 10am and you have to get your own sun-bed out. Which was a good idea. Great location for the resort centre, nearest bus stop 6 minutes away on foot also supermarket there. You can use the supermarket across the road at Sands Hotel too. Loved this hotel would definitely return!! And see how Henry the cat is doing.
A nice quiet hotel - food was wonderful and the pool was very quiet. Sunbeds available every day. The room was lovely, we were on the top floor which allowed the breeze to keep us cool as there are no fans in the room. Amenities were a five minute walk as was the beach - lovely atmosphere and lots of activities if you want to take part - lovely
Holidayed at Serenity in Siroco for 11 nights at the beginning of August on a 2 room, bed/breakfast basis with my wife & 2 adult children, rooms were next door to one another, which was great. We stayed in the same hotel (& Serenity) last year so knew what to expect - a relaxing holiday. It did not disappoint this year, despite a couple of niggles.
The hotel itself is about 15 minutes walk to the beach & main centre where there are ample bars & restaurants of international cuisine. It's really is a nice town with a good atmosphere.
The hotel grounds are well maintained - clean & tidy, rooms are spacious & comfortable & maid service was every 2 days, no issues with the shower. I like the fact that each room is allocated 2 sunbeds, so no sunbed wars - our rooms were right in front of the pool- which was lovely. One niggle I have regarding the pool is the inconsistencies in rules- myself & 2 adult children enjoyed playing ball in the pool - a simple keep up game - in a small huddle – no problem for the first few days- then a different lifeguard says ‘not allowed’- the ball did not leave the pool, didn’t hit anyone else & I am not aware of any complaints from other guests – in fact others said how ridiculous it was - come on - we are on holiday! There was a board up on the wall with pool regulations – nowhere did it say ‘no playing ball’. The next day (different lifeguard) we played ball – no problem. Suggest to Siroco – if it’s a hotel rule, then fine, if not don’t let lifeguards make their own rules up.
When we arrived the patio door would not lock – reported this the following day – it was fixed quickly but not a great job as the same happened a few days later and one more time after that. Maintenance were quick to respond on all 3 occasions but the problem was down to bent / broken metal in the frame & I’m sure it will happen again. The safety deposit box, which requires a code jammed twice during our stay – again maintenance quickly resolved it.
As we stayed her last year, I knew there was no air-conditioning- but we had taken fans, so not a problem for us.
Breakfasts were ok with a choice of hot/ cold & fruit & no problems at all with coffee & juice machines. We did not have dinner at the hotel as we like to go out – did have lunch time snacks a couple of times which was fine.
Another issue I would like to point out & hope the management act upon it – though it will not affect the majority of people. Myself & my 20 yr old son liked to play pool before going out each evening & must have spend around 40 euros playing during the stay – but that table is a disgrace. It was bad last year but 12 months on – even worse – thread bare, pockets coming loose, not level - with balls rolling to one end, balls getting stuck when potted, put money in- no balls coming out – but a least there was chalk this year, unlike last.
In summary, despite the small niggles, we really enjoyed our stay at Siroco – Serenity is a lovely part of the hotel & I would definitely stay there again.
We got back from our second consecutive stay at Hotel Siroco not long ago, and we are already looking forward to our next stay next year.
The hotel is situated at the far end of Costa Teguise and is roughly a 15 minute walk into the centre depending on which route you take.
The hotel itself is spotless, as are both pool areas which are cleaned every morning before they open at 10am. We stayed in the serenity area and the room was cleaned regularly and to a very high standard. The rooms do get very hot but are quick to cool down with the windows and balcony doors left open for a while.
The pool area in the serenity complex was nice and relaxing, and despite the ongoing building work across the road, we couldn't hear anything other than the pool fountains which made for a very tranquil atmosphere. There was no rush for a sunbed in the morning either, and the hotel's policy of reserving sunbeds without using them immediately works very well.
We paid for bed and breakfast which I would highly recommend. The breakfast items are made fresh every day and they have a wide variety of English, continental and local options. The food itself was delicious, we couldn't fault it whatsoever, with the same being said for the food at the poolside bar which offered affordable lunch options such as sandwiches and pizzas, as well as a variety of soft drinks, cocktails and beers.
The staff were excellent. Very friendly, polite, attentive and were always quick to say good morning/afternoon in passing.
All in all, we don't have a bad word to say about Hotel Siroco and we're already counting down the days until we come back next year!
Costa teguise is one of our favourite places. Hotel is a child free hotel which is exactly what we wanted for this trip. The hotel itself, incredibly situated a stone throw away from the sea front that u can walk along into the town and square where all restaurant and bars are. About 15 mins from the aqua park, so taxis will be affordable from the hotel. About 4€ taxi to the square. Or a 15/20 min walk. Staff were amazing and friendly, but to be fair everyone we met in costa teguise, tourist or locals, were super friendly. Out window hinge broke from the breeze and was fixed before we even returned back to the room with a brand new hinge. No other issues. They were fantastic. Only down side is no aircon or fans in room. Its a really warm place to be without some sort of cooling system for the room. Luckily We had the option to open balcony door and window so we had a run throw of breeze. Other wise i think we would have suffered heat wise. Nights are alot cooler but still not cool enough to not have a breeze. Food was satisfactory, one bar for food selection, i am gluten free and was very limited, one night i had a plate of fruit because i didnt want anything as there isnt a massive selection to choose from anyway. We went half board so was hoping not to eat out too often but had too sometimes due to the lack of options. Pool is incredible, its cold at first soon s your in in the heat of the sun, its stunning. The hotel is super peaceful and everything is immaculate. U get a microwave/ kettle/ toaster / fridge/ and hob in the room, so options to nip to the supermarket and keep back up snacks in the room. Its a brilliant place. And i would go again. But as iv said, the food limitations and the no air con is the only reason we would be iffy about returning. If they had air con this hotel would be 10/10! 🔥
