This hotel is situated in one of the most attractive touristic destinations of the island, Costa Teguise resort. Surrounded by a magnificent canary garden, the hotel offers its guests magnificent views over the Atlantic Ocean. The capital is around 1.5 km away and can be easily reached by car.The hotel is perfect for families with children who love spending time at the pool. Lanzarote airport is just 10 km away.
Dip into one of the 3 outdoor swimming pools or enjoy other recreational amenities including a water slide and a fitness centre. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, an arcade/games room and gift shops/newsstands. Guests can catch a ride to nearby destinations on the local area shuttle (surcharge).
Highlight of our stay was definitely the friendly and sweet cats who would enjoy some pets in our balcony/garden each morning and evening.
Staff in small shop were brilliant, always super welcoming and willing to help. Shop is well stocked but slightly overpriced compared to local shops which isn’t unusual given its convenience.
Sadly for us, the positives, for the most part end here.
Whilst the room was reasonably nice in look, we were on the ground floor and were distracted by constant noise/music from 11am to midnight most days. It only really annoyed me on a couple of occasions when I fancied an early night and it was particularly loud.
The air con in the room was horrific. Weather was 29/30 degrees our first few days and it felt hotter in the room than outside, despite keeping our curtains closed 24/7 and air con on. The hotel comments air con is seasonal however you cannot justify not providing working air con in that heat. We ended up buying a fan which made it bearable enough to sleep.
As for the food… if you do decide to stay here, do not waste your money going all inclusive. I am not a fussy eater by any means and found the food inedible. We tried the all inclusive buffet on three occasions and following that ate out for every meal. I have frequented plenty of AI buffets in my time ranging from 2 to 4 stars and nothing has even compared to how awful this was.
Sadly would not visit this or any other Bluesea hotels in future. Devastated as I read great things online before going! Costa Teguise is 100% worth the visit but please do yourself a favour and find a better hotel.
Honestly food is awful everything is either overcooked dry and cold or just cold there’s a weird commitment to having cold food all the time and the options are honestly terrible , ontop of that the drink situation is appalling 2 drinks per person which is fair enough but the drink sizes are crazy very small glasses to limit what you’re getting which just makes you go upto the bar much more causing more work for the bartenders instead of giving you a normal size drink or pint they are very small glasses , I will say the rooms are nice but the hotel is like a maze , and have to give 1 euros deposit to have a tiny plastic cup outside near the pool we didnt have cash so was told to use the atm outside which only gave 50 euros minimum aswell as charging 5euros ontop just to get the money out seems well planned considering everywhere else in the hotel takes card
The aircon in the room is basically non existent constantly waking up soaked in sweat because of how hot the rooms get
A main issue is the food and also drink sizes very very small glasses which you can drink before you get back to your table so you find yourself constantly going up for another drink
Hotel was lovely, very clean but staff don’t speak, miserable. Food is awful no variety we ate the same thing for tea 3 nights. When checked in we were given 2 room cards one for the lights and air con and another for the door. We would leave one in the room for air con on all day so room was cool, cleaner started by turning it off some days and then 3 days before we left we returned to our room to find the cleaner had taken our key so therefore only had one to work everything so couldn’t leave air con on when not in the room.
Nice room cleaned every day pool nice entertainment staff are good lady who worked in pool bar was lovely worked hard all day.hotel is quite out of the way of everything but we walked to square a few times about 40 minutes away and had lovely food .hotel food is not nice lukewarm and very salty not much variety fish nearly ever day wouldn’t stay here again
The hotel is clean and spacious. We had a junior suite which had two televisions however only one connected to the satellite. The bathroom did not have ventilation at all which made it stuffy but otherwise the room was lovely and a fridge was provided for keeping things cool. The food is cooked well and dependable with enough variation for fussy eaters and multiple drink options thoughout, self serve which is nice There is a mini mart on site with all the essentials or things that may have been forgotten with friendly staff You will have to do a lot of exploring on your own as things are not well signposted and we didnt find the games area until our last evening There are a few resident cats that mill about and are pleasant, avoiding contact for those who do not engage with them
The main issue around the pool was that there was no set up for sunbeds which meant at 10am when they were unlocked people would pull their beds right to the edge of the pool, blocking most of the entrances and exits. Towels can be rented from reception for the duration of your stay for €10 cash each and is refunded upon returning Cups from pool bar are €1 each cash only and refunded on return. You can have as many as you'd like. It's worth getting two or more each as the bar queue is long (15-20 minutes) with usually one member of staff doing the bar and setting up snacks for the afternoon. The snacks are mostly selve serve toasties or chips so all inclusive lunch is worth visiting for a top up
There is a nice walk along the seafront nearby that you can follow to the more touristy part with souvenirs and restaurants and bars, approx 20 minute walk
