Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Room was nice being superior room , big room and balcony , food was below par , I found meat tough and uneatable I found being half board and no drinks a bit of a cheek , this hotel has so much potential,
I have never gone on holiday and wanted to go home the second day.The room was dated,but can overlook that as didn't intend on spending much time in there. The pool area very spacious and pool nice temperature, however,the pool area not cleaned daily. The pool bar was inside and manned by 1 person so the queues were very long .Thi was also the only bar open in the hotel during the day. The snack bar was very repetitive and the hot food went cold quickly and the cold food got warm. You have to buy a cup for 1 euro which you have to exchange at the bar each time you want a drink which I didn't find a problem. At 6pm, another bar opens in the basement,again manned by 1 bar staff so queues again. There is no music regularly or ambience down there and also no air conditioning. There is a piano but I only heard it played once. The next bar, also in the basement opens at 8pm. Again ,one member of bar staff, and has the same greenhouse effect. They have built up pond features in there with bridges over them and I saw more than one person slip over. As for the ponds, no idea when they were drained and cleaned last as they smelt stagnant and awful.The kids disco started at 9.30 pm (I don't have young kid) which I thought was a bit late, and their entertainment was very dated .Now to the all inclusive food.. breakfast was ok,I didn't try lunch in main food hall,but dinner . Well,what can I say.. open a bag of frozen mixed veg everyday, the so called decent veg they put out was hard and horrible,meatballs looked anemic, never had a decent bit of meat ( and I'm not a fussy person) . Not much variety at all and what there was wasn't replenished so when it was gone that was it. The staff all looked miserable as they worked very long hours. I felt sick every single day there and hubby and I went out for a few evenings to eat as he wanted a decent meal . We both had upset stomachs on going home and for a couple of days after. Overall I have never counted down the days so much.
First of all, check in was quick and simple, the hotel has a great first impression, it was tidy and smelt clean. The receptionists were also welcoming.
We were very impressed with the rooms, it was bigger than we expected, and was easy for 3 adults to share. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms had no noise pollution from other rooms which was great. The pool area was huge, and the pools were lovely, and I enjoyed the fact they were never crowded, which was perfect especially in the summer holidays.
One of the things that let the hotel down is the food, breakfast was good, however lunch and dinner wasn’t great at all. There wasn’t much choice and things weren’t really replenished. One major thing I noticed is the huge cross contamination from one of the cooks, picking up raw chicken with the tongs and then using the EXACT SAME tongs to serve the cooked chicken. I was mortified when I saw this and did not dare to eat any of the meat being cooked as I could not trust it!
Another negative is that the pool bar is extremely slow, it can take up to 20 minutes to get a drink, and some of the bar staff were a bit miserable. There was only self service water, hot drinks and wine, it was annoying having to queue for soft drinks as it could take a while! Just a heads up that you will need to pay €1 for a reusable cup to use around the pool during your stay. The other thing is that the cocktails are literally just pre-made juice and didn’t seem to contain any sort of alcohol. The location is also not the best, there’s not anything around the hotel unless your prepared for a 15-20 minute stroll to the shops!
Overall, we had a great time, but unfortunately due to the food situation and the slow pool bar service, I wouldn’t return to this hotel or recommend it, there’s much better hotels around this area!
8 familymembers really enjoyed the 10 days we had ,rooms wrer nice and clean .Very friendly staff from cleaners bar staff and cooks, definatly go again soon only 5 minutes from shops nice beach .THANK YOU BEATRIZ well worth it
We had a great stay with Hotel Beatriz The atmosphere was stunning; amazing views. The pool was the best part and especially the entertainment. The entertainment and staff were friendly and welcoming, we had a toddler with us and they made him feel welcome and comfortable and absolutely loved him. I’d highly recommend this hotel if you have kids. The location is okay, mountains in the background, however it’s a bit of a long walk to local amenities. The rooms were decent, however they could be better; the air conditioning plate fell off the wall and we had cockroaches and lizards on the balconies, the carpets were a bit torn but we didn’t spend much time in the rooms so it wasn’t a deal breaker for us. The hotel corridors were clean and the food was well prepared aswell. Overall, We’d definitely stay again.
