We have stayed here before in February and it was great so we did something we don't normally do and returned to the same hotel twice. Sadly this time we were very disappointed with some aspects. We had a broken toilet door handle the entire stay and it never got fixed despite many many trips to reception. There are other signs of poor maintenance elsewhere in the hotel and it's grounds. One morning there were 2 piles of vomit outside the hotel entrance. The staff must have seen it but they had not been cleaned up. One night we came back to our room and there was a strong smell of cannabis. Our shower was leaking in 2 places - again reported it, no action. Cockroach walking out of the dining room. Good parts - enjoyed the food, gym is fantastic and sleep quality was high. Sadly though will not return due to staff not being able to sort out our issues. NB - food labelling is also very poor so if you have a nut allergy, I would not risk it!!!!!!!!
Excellent as ever. My wife and I stayed at the hotel in February and April and wanted the whole family to share the experience. Will visit again 😀
Wow wow wow we really needed this hotel after a really bad experience next door hotel at the Grand Hyatt. We moved after 2 days from a 5 star to Barcelo which is a 4 star hotel but in my opinion should be 5 stars. We loved the whole experience from the wonderful hospitality from the staff who worked so hard to keep the hotel so clean and tidy. The entertainment which was amazing, the food was great and wow the atmosphere was fantastic, a big thanks to Roxanna who made us laugh so much with the exercises in the pool, her enthusiasm was infectious as was her laughter, she even got my husband involved in the activities despite him never getting involved before. I will be booking again and thank you to all the staff who made our holiday special.
This hotel is truly the best hotel I’ve been too, it was my second time staying here and I wasn’t disappointed once, staff were always helpful and ensuring everything was running smoothly and cleanliness was kept high. I would truly recommend this hotel to anyone, families, couples, solo traveler or work trips. You will not be disappointed
My partner and I were here on a relaxing break. Unfortunately guests playing their own music loudly round the pool is spoiling the relaxing experience. When I asked a member of staff to request they turn it down I was told that would not happen. He said he was not allowed to. The toilets by the pool area are also very disappointing, there is a really bad smell, one toilet has not been able to flush for days and I would just not use the showers in there. On the up side the pool bar is good and can’t complain about the food. My partner does not drink tea or coffee and fruit juice is too sugary for her diabetise. Her drink of choice here is Coke Zero but from the bar closing at midnight to the pool bar opening at 10.30 it is not possible to get a fizzy drink unless you buy it, which is not really in the spirit of all inclusive. The rooms are lovely with a great balcony and a lovely walk in shower. I don’t think I would come back.
