- Taurito Princess Hotel

This family friendly all inclusive hotel is located right at Taurito beach. All of the rooms and suites enjoy magnificent views over the sea and beach. Puerto de Mogán, with its beautiful marina within 4 km and 9 km from Puerto Rico. Restaurants, bars and access to public transport are all located in the vicinity. This enchanting establishment offers large and bright rooms and suites, some of them feature a colourful design and the others pale violet tones, fitted with cosy furniture and modern amenities to make guests' stay as comfortable as possible. For dining and wining travellers may choose from 2 buffet-style restaurants and 4 bars. Children may delight in kids' playground, two paddling pools (one with a giant dragon) and hotel entertainment, while adults plunge at the freshwater pools, work out at the gym or relax at the sauna.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We returned last week from a week at the Princess Taurito hotel in Gran Canaria. All rooms face the Taurito bay and our balcony, room 414, was very large and a pleasure to sit on and relax. The room is very spacious, clean and plenty of room for storage. The bay is a public beach, soft sand and the sea is clear, although can be choppy at times. It is a lovely walk around the bay, with numerous souvenir shops. There are several bars along the beach, doing very nice cocktails. The food in the hotel was plentiful, very varied, and never boring! I would mention, however, that you had to get your own wine at mealtimes and there was frequently a shortage of wine glasses. However, the tables were promptly cleared. We were on an all inclusive basis, not the top tier, so we had the choice of about five cocktails. However, there are also plenty of international spirits and local wines to choose from. The bar service was mostly good although at times you were misunderstood and didn’t get the correct drink! And tables weren’t cleared very quickly. There was some sort of entertainment most nights but you couldn’t always get a seat outside to watch, especially if you ate late. There are lots of seating areas with sofas near the reception and near the bar, inside and out. All in all, an excellent four star hotel, and certainly worth visiting. One tip, pay extra for a private transfer direct from the airport to the hotel. Otherwise, this is one of the last hotels for dropoffs, after the coach has climbed all round the bay, which takes a lot of time.
Arrived late at night. Twin room turned out to be a double, but we kept it due to the amazing view. Beds are a bit hard, requested a topper and pillows which helped a bit.
The room on the 7th floor stank of sewage randomly on and off, I believe from the bathroom. The rooms and poolside could do with a bit of paint and tile replacement.
Amazing, friendly staff. Bit of a fight for sun beds which would be better if there was not a "Gold custoner" area reserved.
Bars and snack area great, good selection and access.
Lots of good drinks on all inclusive.
Restaurant. Staff lovely. Food a bit samey, and some with odd descriptions! Enjoyed the party meat and old clothes! 🤣 ... yes legitimate names given to dishes.
Wine, beer and soft drinks always available.
I have been coming to this hotel since 2010 firstly for several years with my husband and alone since his passing in 2018 and feel completely confident and safe in being here alone. This year I came for 2 weeks spending my first week with my son and his family and the second week solo. So the best of both worlds 😊
I always thought the hotel excellent but since the recent refurbishment it is absolutely exceptional. I have written several reviews on Tripadvisor over the years but I am more than happy to write another one this year. Everything about this hotel is outstanding. The food, the cleanliness and friendly atmosphere. The staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect and are always friendly and helpful. It’s just a pity that some of the guests are not all as respectful to them in return.
I usually visit in September and see many other returning guests then, so I am obviously not alone in thinking this hotel ticks all the boxes. I will definitely be returning to Princess Taurito next year and life allowing for many years to come.
My second visit to this fabulous hotel. In fact I’ve rebooked for September. The hotel was refurbished in 2025 and it’s truly beautiful. room is gorgeous the food is excellent and there are lots of little touches everywhere that make a stay extremely pleasant. Some people complain about entertainment, but it was absolutely fine. Very few queues at the bar at night. No race for a sunbed in the morning and always lots of places to sit inside or outside. We did upgrade this time to the Esencia experience which was well at worth the extra money however the buffet does not disappoint and I must say the soups are delicious so my congratulations to the chef. Special mention must go to Chloe on reception I remember Ruben from my last visit the Service that they provided was exceptional. All of the staff were welcoming and courteous as all of the day. Nothing was too much for any member of staff. The hotel was immaculate . The on-site shop was very reasonable in price. We took the courtesy bus to Mogan , twice and enjoyed a boat trip which was €10 to Puerto Rico and then wegot a taxi back which was €14 however we could’ve got the local bus at €1.40 if you want to go to the market on theFriday in Mogan ,, you do need to get a first come first serve ticket queue up at 8 am on the Thursday morning as we had a late checkout we used the courtesy room and showers which as expected were immaculate. I cannot find any fault with this hotel and I travel a lot The tui rep Dawn again extremely helpful thanks also to Javier and Jackson
Well as always this was a Fantastic Holiday 19 visits and still exceptional, we have seen many changes. For anyone who has not stayed here before there are so many highlights, I dont need to do a long review but here are the highlights
Staff - You will not get better, they work so hard but still manage to make you feel special. Pepe, Yvonne, Oscar, Havier to many to mentioned in this post. For us this is one of the main reasons for our return.
Rooms - We upgrade to Escencia, personal preference for us but the Standard rooms are still very nice, we just like the added perks. Only one thing we would like but again preference , comfier balcony seats but if thats the only thing to say we have chosen well. The most amazing views not matter which room you have.
Food - Very nice do not be afraid to ask the chefs if you want anything extra like omlettes for breakfast in the one restaurant. Sometimes the food is a little cool but its a buffett style to be expected.
Reception staff are amazing they are so helpful and speak multiple languages so never any confusion.
I have to say in 10 days we have never seen so many managers walking the hotel to make sure its up to standard, again so friendly and really do appreciate all their guests.
Oh and not forget the life guards, my mam have a little eye issue during our stay and the female lifeguard was so helpful giving us advice and she came to check on us for the next few days, we unfortunatley did not get her name, these are the little things that make this hotel one of the best in our opinion
