The Servatur Terrazamar & Sunsuite resort complex, located on a sunny slope in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, offers three distinct properties: Terrazamar, Sunsuites, and Royal. Just a short walk from the beach and the bustling tourist center with its shops and entertainment, the resort is conveniently situated across from the area's newest shopping centers. The recently renovated apartments feature spacious, well-equipped rooms with all the comforts of home, including fully equipped kitchens, living areas, and stunning terraces. Guests can enjoy access to all resort facilities, regardless of their chosen accommodation type. Superior Apartment With Jacuzzi Terrazamar guests receive complimentary bathrobes and slippers, pool towels, snacks, sparkling wine, and extra pillows. The complex boasts heated outdoor pools, a restaurant serving a breakfast buffet, and a pool bar offering refreshing drinks and snacks. Active guests can take advantage of the tennis court, while families with children will appreciate the playground and miniclub. Public transport is available 300 meters away, and parking is also provided. Please note: The Royal pool is closed during the winter season, and the miniclub is temporarily closed. From June 24th onward, continental breakfast is served at the pool bar starting at 9:00 am. A tourist tax of €0. 15 per person, per night will be applied by the property starting November 3, 2025.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We searched for 2 weeks to find a last minute holiday over the summer holidays and found this holiday at a great price and read reviews on here before booking. Booked with jet2 and as its a 3 star aparthotel, we didnt have super high expectations but were very pleased with our choice.
Hotel is in a great location. Approx 30-40 mins from airport and walking distance to the supermarkets and restaurants. We stayed in the Sunsuite Royal block on the first floor and were right next to the restaurant and pool. Apartment size was really good for a family of 4, and the balcony was massive. Although there were some signs of wear and tear, it did not affect our holiday. Great that the hotel had lift access to street level, however a few were out of order in the week we were there.
Staff were friendly and attentive, animation team and lifeguard available on poolside. We had breakfast included in our stay, good breakfast buffet selection, I would have preferred if there was more of a fresh fruit selection. Breakfast times were between 8-10, this felt limited when on holiday.
We paid 30 euros to extend our room as we had a late transfer. This option was helpful and we were able to enjoy lunch in our room and showered before checking out. There is a shower facility on floor 10, next to the pool but it didn't really look that nice - but that option is available if needed.
I would stay here again, and definitely recommend for others!
Another fantastic stay here! We had a high floor apartment in Terrazamar, ideally positioned for us. Well equipped, clean and tidy. All the staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. There’s a policy in place for not leaving towels on sunbeds, which certainly helped compared to last years queuing before the pool opened. This year we could wander down to the pool anywhere between 10am - 1pm and there were loads of beds for everyone. Great location for Mogan Mall, Commercial Centre and the beach is in walking distance too. I can’t fault anything!
A truly wonderful place for a family stay! The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect for exploring, and the atmosphere was lovely throughout our stay. Excellent value for money.
Even though we have been coming to this hotel for many years and we do love it, it is now very tired and needs a lot of work to bring it back up to date, bathrooms and kitchens are old and dated, to many botched up jobs. Bedroom and living rooms are ok but for the price you pay you would expect a lot better.
Room 3407 We stayed at Terezzamar & Sun Suites and stayed at the very top of the royal level, self catering. We arrived around 10pm and went to the sun suites reception. He politely informed us that we were over the road in the Terrezamar section, but still proceeded to do most of the checking in process to avoid any further delay. Check in was quick and efficient and very friendly. Infact, all the reception staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. In the reception area there is a small bar, a mini market and a small bakery with fresh items.
Loved our room!! It was super spacious, clean, and had all the amenities you could need for SC (fridge, oven, hob, microwave, kettle, coffee pot, pots, pans, cutlery). It was fairly modern with large power shower, incredible views, and the added bonus of the whirlpool on the balcony and use of the quiet rooftop pool. I was glad to find that you can fill the whirlpool with either hot or cold water, which was amazing in the hot July sunshine. It does take a while to fill though, so get it going early. On arrival the fridge was filled with a bottle of cava, a bottle of water, 2 beers and 2 Fanta's which went down a treat after a long day of travelling! Getting up there takes some time though! 4 lifts! 😂 If you have walking difficulties then this is definitely not the section for you, but the lower sections have just as much room on the balconies and they're staggered for optimal sunshine. Our balcony also had a table, 2 reclining chairs, a parasol and 2 sunbeds. We were provided with robes and slippers which we both agreed were quite old, stiff and could do with a refresh. They had clearly shrunk over time with the amount of time they had been washed. Not an issue as we visited in June/July and it was very warm.
One advantage of being in the Royal level was it was very quiet, and right outside the apartment block was a road. If you phoned reception and ask for a taxi, they will order it to the door for you! We took advantage of this twice, but be ready as they arrive very quickly! The road winds to the right and leads you down to all areas of Puerto Rico, including to the bus terminal. You can also access the Europa centre from this road but you do have to go up quite a steep incline to do so.
The apartments are in an amazing location, literally steps from Mogan Mall and the CC centre. Despite this, it was still a quiet area. The only time we ever heard noise was when the world cup matches were on and someone scored :') A slow walk to PR beach took us around 30 minutes. The quickest way to the mall & CC centre is to take the back gate down the stairs through the sun suites, accessible via your room key card. A taxi to the Europa centre took around 10 minutes.
Unfortunately I can't comment on the pool area as we didn't use it - we only used the rooftop pool twice which was lovely and quiet as it's only the royal members who have access to it. We went to the terrezamar pool bar once, service was great with food options available too. Prices were about average to everywhere else. There is a happy hour, too. From what we saw from our balcony there was never any sunbed wars, TONS of sunbeds and space available every single day. You're also allowed to use the sun suites pool if you so wish.
I can't fault a single thing about our stay, it was lovely and peaceful and clean and we can't ask for anything more. We would love to come back!
