This excellent hotel boasts breathtaking views over the harbour, the bay and out to the open sea from its elevated position in Puerto Rico on the southwestern coast of the holiday island of Gran Canaria. It features 2 outdoor pools, a sports centre, kid's club, restaurant and various bars. The Europa Shopping Centre is situated right next to the hotel; the next beach is within walking distance.
Dip into one of the 2 outdoor swimming pools or enjoy other recreational amenities, which include a fitness centre. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access and tour/ticket assistance.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have just returned from a two-week holiday, staying in room 3125. This was our fourth stay at the hotel, unfortunately we were very disappointed by the condition of the property this time.
Although we enjoyed our break, we were disappointed to see how shabby and unclean parts of the hotel had become. The broken glass around the restaurant windows was still there, as it had been on previous visits. The pool area also appeared to need a lot of TLC, with a broken handrail and the pool itself in need of repainting. The amount of rust around the only lift was particularly concerning and, as a result, we chose to use the stairs instead.
The majority of the staff were very polite, friendly and a pleasure to deal with, with the exception of Paul, who I believe was part of the management team. He asked me on three consecutive days how our stay was and took our room number each time. I was unsure why he continued to ask when nothing appeared to be done about the concerns I raised.
On one occasion, as we entered the restaurant for breakfast, he pushed a pen and questionnaire into my hand and asked me to complete it. I declined, but he then pushed them back into my hand. I found this quite inappropriate, particularly as we were about to eat breakfast and I did not want to be handling a dirty pen. I would have been more than happy to complete the questionnaire on our way out of the restaurant.
Another issue was the number of very young children wearing life vests and constantly bobbing around in the main pool. On several occasions, this made it difficult to swim. In our opinion, young children who require life vests should be using the smaller pool, particularly when the main pool is being used by guests who want to swim properly.
As a result, we ended up paying an additional €25 per day to use the VIP pool area, simply so that we could enjoy some peace and quiet.
We also paid an additional €15 per night to hire an air-conditioning unit for our room.
When you add up all these additional costs, we feel that, in hindsight, we would have been better off booking a higher-standard hotel in the first place.
It is disappointing to say that, despite this being our fourth stay, this will most likely be our last visit to the hotel unless significant improvements are made. We have previously enjoyed our stays, which is why we continued to return, but the standard of the hotel on this occasion was simply not what we expected
Went from 08-15 Sept 2026 on my own. Arrived in the early afternoon and was treated very well straight away, reception staff were amazing. The hotel is obviously built into a steep cliff, there are levels, there are stairs, there are slopes but there is a funicular lift to all levels. I wouldn't say it is mainly suitable for mobility challenged people but it could be if you can get a room on level 1 - that would definetly be easy enough. I was Level 2 corridor 14 and a lovely cleaning lady helped me up to my appartment with my case and bag! Everyone at this hotel is so kind, reception, management, bar staff, resaurant staff, domestic staff, pool staff and even the gardners! So nice to me, chats every day. My room was a 1 bed apartment, huge balcony! Very clean, no complaints, maybe a couple of things could benefit from a bit of a cosmetic touch up but just minor. On day two I had a problem, my shower tray must have been blocked and when I showered the water over flowed and flooded the whole apartment, I reported to reception who immediately sent maintennance and domestic down to resolve for me which they did, I would never have known it happened and I got new bedding, new towels, everything. Top service. I found the buffet restaurant absolutely fine, not entirely to my taste as I am a lover of asian and indian cuisine but there was a great selection at all sittings and they seem to cater for everyone. No complaints at all. With being at the top the hotel has the best views in Puerto Rico, it has the sun from sunrise to sunset. Absolutely unbeatable. The main pool is good, great for families, there is a lifeguard, there is entertainment. However I opted to leave the main pool every day at 11am and go up a level to the VIP area which they call Island Of The Stars. You pay entry, get one free drink then any other drinks you pay for, regardless if you are all inclusive or not. A lot of people don't like this, personally I did not care, I was on holiday, I was out to enjoy my days, I had a fabulous comfortable double sun bed all to myself, absolute comfort. The pool up there is beautiful, private, adults only in VIP. Theres a bubbly jacuzzi type area and beds in the water, oh my it is something just relaxing in the there. The VIP bar staff were lovely, especially Joel who made me the best Jack Daniels and cokes and a whole load of cocktails, Joel was my favourite, he was so very nice but so was Omar and Massimo. VIP shut at 6pm which suited me fine for dinner from 6.30pm downstairs then either drinks and entertainment or back to my own balcony in the evenings. I met wonderful people, have fantastic memories and I have rebooked for next September again. Zero complaints from me, 10/10 - not every review on here is good, why I don't know, you can't please everyone I suppose.

From the minute we arrived, the staff were absolutely amazing — so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our whole stay. The hotel was really clean and well looked after, and the hygiene standards were excellent, which was something I really noticed and appreciated.
The food was honestly amazing too, with plenty of choice and everything we had was delicious. The location was great as well, with beautiful views and everything we needed close by.
Nigh time entertainment was always great fun. Always a happy, good vibes
I genuinely can’t fault the place. It was my first all-inclusive holiday and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’d 100% come back and would definitely recommend Servatur Riosol! 💕☀️🌴
Our 2nd visit to the lovely SERVATUR Riosol resort, situated overlooking the Puerto Rico harbour, great views, especially at night I honestly can't fault this hotel, which was the main reason we came back The entrance and walk down to the reception you get a feel your in a very special place The overall cleanliness , the staff are so polite and helpful, you just feel at ease as soon as you arrive I requested before our arrival that if it was possible could we have the same 1 bed small terrace self catering apartment as we had last year and they did, wow thank you 👍 The accomodation, 1 bed s/c small balcony was more than adequate for me and my wife, it's clean large has a shower hairdryer,, wardrobes safe kettle etc, knives forks cups, microwave, you really don't want for much more The room service, clean towels, bed changes, amazing The pool area again, clean organised, with a beautiful swimming pool surrounded with loungers, a pool bar which serves snacks and refreshments A changing area , and showers A small Spar convenience shop, which seemed to carry most things, fresh milk every day, no newspapers though RIOSOIL, Excellent value, highly recommend this hotel, I'm sure you will want to return as we have I really couldn't fault the hotel Thank you 😁
Wow where to start! What an amazing hotel. Came here for a solo holiday after being recommended by a colleague and I can honestly say it did not disappoint!
Theres a reason people say this place has some of the best views of Puerto Rico! Situated at the very top it gives you fantastic views of the town from the moment you wake up to going to sleep! I arrived early afternoon before my room was ready, however there is a secure luggage room and you are able to use the facilities immediately. Was given my AI wristband straight away and could get lunch before officially checking in!
There are two pools, one large family pool with a small kiddie pool next to it, and also the VIP pool at an additional charge every day. I personally did not use this as I was able to get a lounger easily each day, however they do fill up by around 10/10:30am. In my experience there was no mad rush first thing in the morning. Pool entertainment included water aerobics, basketball, jenga, card games etc.
Pool bar is available from 10:30 and offers a range of drinks (soft/wine/beer/cocktails). I was AI and the range was decent and had everything I would usually drink at home. Only 4 cocktails available but they were my go to anyway so was perfect for me. Snacks also available throughout the day (burgers, chips, toasties) with plenty of seating.
With AI you got breakfast, lunch and dinner and this was buffet style. Varied food options at each meal and something for everyone. Breakfast - range of cereals, fruit, continental, bacon, eggs, sausages, mushrooms. Could also ask for an omelette to be made fresh! Crepes, waffles, pancakes! Lunch - salad, pizzas, pasta, seafood, fresh fruit. Dinner - fish, chicken, steak, lamb, turkey, pork all cooked through service, pizzas, pasta, salads, fridays was mexican night! Good range of desserts too and ice cream station! Coffee/tea machine, orange/apple/pineapple available at breakfast (range of milk and dairy free options), prosecco also available for those cheeky mimosas! Wine, beer available during lunch/dinner.
My room was right at the top, very close to reception and had the most incredible views! Perfect for getting ready on the balcony in the evenings! I had a basic room but included hairdryer, coffee machine, kettle, fridge and a safe. The rooms themselves could do with a little makeover but thats my personal opinion! I believe apartments come with a kitchen and living room, however I did not have these and was not needed for my stay.
The staff are extremely friendly and did not make me feel unsafe at all as a solo female here! Very attentive during service at cleaning tables and stations! Will have a laugh and joke with you and really make you feel at home.
As the hotel is at the very top there are a lot of steps to get down, however there is a funicular to get to each level of the hotel. Many steps to get down to beach from the hotel (i counted 709) however you can order a taxi from the reception and it costs around 5€.
All in all this is a fantastic hotel and I highly recommend it if you’re coming to Gran Canaria. I loved my entire stay here and will 100% be returning. Already looking for next year and as someone who rarely travels to the same place twice, that says a lot!
