Just returned from this hotel ,food was better than expected and always good quality,drinks standard AI low grade spirits one choice of beer but not an issue .Entertainment was poor and only lasts one hour but this may be standard for all complexes as never spent time in AI hotels before . Rooms are ok and ours was clean on arrival,English tv decent air conditioning along with a good size balcony and stunning views from ours which was block A ,I’m not sure if you can book a certain block though which would stop me booking again The only negative for the room was the cockroaches coming through the shower drain on a few occasions . Lifts are unpredictable to say the least ,stopping between floors along with arriving at desired floor for the doors not to open ,the lift on bock B is allegedly worse and some guests getting stuck in it a few times ,not great in 30 degrees. Pool areas are nice with plenty of beds although I do think there should be a pool bar at pool A save walking across to pool B . Restaurant and bar area are spotless with ample seating and again stunning views ,I’d recommend this hotel but I’d beat in mind the amount of steps if the lift is out of order
The hotel is rated as a 3 star but is much better than some 4 Star and 4 star + we've stayed in, food excellent staff pleasant and helpful apparent clean and of a good standartd nice pool areas entertainment good
An excellent budget hotel (3 star). To be fair its more a 4 star then 3. Rooms are more than adequate for a 10 days stay. There always cleaned regularly room (A144). They have smart tvs ( bring your firestick )and hairdryers in the bathrooms. The kitchens are well equipped if your self catering. We stayed all inclusive and the food was fantastic, ignore the people who mark it down there obviously very picky and are expecting 5 star.!!!!!!. It's a great place to stay everyone of the staff we met were great.!!!
this was my12th year at the altamar and this hotel is above the 3 stars it has been given.the whole holiday experience is great from day 1 until the time you leave.the apartments are very adequate and roomy .they now have air con which is very welcome. your balcony is well appointed and have a beautiful view over the ocean. the pool areas are well furnished with sunloungers .the restaurant is great, nice food and a great variety. the waiters and waitresses and bar staff are very friendly and contrary to what some people say they do try and interact with the clients. the one criticism is they ued to play bingo at 4 in the afternoon with gazza the entertainment head man but it has now stopped, it sed to have a prize of around 200 euros.now the best you can hope for is a bottle of cheap plonk. bring back gazza and inject some life back into the afternoons..since servatur has taken over the atmosphere seems to have taken a backward step, its a great hotel so lets try and get it back to its former status.
Hotel was nice and the food was amazing but everyday there was no music in the pool and you couldn't even use a floaty nor playing with any type of ball and not jumping in the pool to many times. Also when you wanted to get to the 6th floor to go out of the complex it would take ages and when you got into the hotel you couldn't put your luggage in the elevator at once if you have big suitcases. It's hard to get to your room and will kill your legs off if you want to walk up the stairs. But the best part about it was there was a super market down the road where you could get cheaper excursions and would definitely recommend the drag queen show for a good laugh. But altogether it wasn't the best. The sea view was absolutely incredible and the entertainment was horrid sat eating when someone sings karaoke everyday
