Location — 8/10 Situated on a vibrant periphery of Maspalomas near Playa del Inglés, the hotel commands a prime position. Everyday essentials—including bustling live-entertainment bars, diverse dining options, and local supermarkets—are within a convenient two-to-four-minute walk. The nearest beach is a brief seven-minute stroll. For guests seeking the lively nightlife of the Yumbo or Kasbah Centers, both are accessible via a 20-minute walk or a quick €5 taxi ride.
Ambience & Facilities — 8/10 The resort features a distinct architectural design, characterized by four white rotunda-style accommodation blocks with classic green shutters, alongside dedicated structures for reception, dining, a poolside bar, and an entertainment zone. The atmosphere is warm and social, fostering a relaxed guest environment.
Activities: The hardworking daytime animation team maintains an energetic schedule, offering aqua aerobics, darts, archery, and shuffleboard.
Pool & Grounds: While the main pool is slightly compact relative to the property's capacity, sunbeds did, on the whole, remain accessible. Although prime poolside spots were claimed early, additional seating was well-distributed throughout the grounds, ensuring availability most of the time.
Amenities: Guests can take advantage of a complimentary outdoor jacuzzi and secluded Bali sunbeds located near Block 4, which remained remarkably quiet throughout the stay.
Accommodation — 8/10 The Superior Double room proved spacious and was maintained to an immaculate standard. Comfort & Layout: Configured with twin beds pushed together, the room offered good overall comfort, though a choice of additional pillows would enhance the experience. Bathroom: Well-appointed and spotlessly clean, featuring a generous vanity basin and a high-pressure walk-in shower. In-Room Amenities: Outfitted with a wall-mounted TV featuring key British channels, a complimentary safe, a private balcony, and upgraded Superior inclusions such as plush bathrobes and slippers. Housekeeping: Exemplary daily service, including fresh towel replacements and meticulously mopped tiled flooring.
Food & Drink — 7/10 Dining: Culinary offerings rank above average for standard all-inclusive fare. Dishes were consistently fresh and well-prepared, featuring an expansive salad bar, roasted vegetables, pasta selections, and a varied rotation of meats and fish. The only minor culinary omission was the absence of a traditional British-style gravy to accompany the meat dishes.
Hygiene Note: Contrary to previous sporadic guest reports regarding flies, the dining environment was exceptionally clean, with virtually no pests over the two-week duration.
Beverage Service: The beverage package presents the primary area for improvement. Draft beer options are restricted to a single local lager served in small disposable cups, requiring frequent visits to the bar. Spirits are limited strictly to local brands; incorporating recognized international labels into the all-inclusive tier would significantly elevate the experience.
Evening Entertainment — 5/10 In contrast to the strong daytime animation, the evening program relies heavily on traditional resort circuit performances—ranging from acrobats to vocalists of varying quality. While interactive nights like karaoke and trivia are hosted, the off-site nightlife at nearby venues proved to be a more compelling option.
Final Verdict The Servatur Playa Bonita delivers a reliable, high-value four-star experience. While the beverage program, pool-deck management, and evening entertainment could benefit from refinement, its superior cleanliness, strong dining, and excellent location render it one of the most competitive options in the area. A return visit is certainly warranted.
Had a lovely time at playa bonita from arriving to leaving everything was pleasant.Check-in was quick and polite everything was explained well and we found our rooms quickly.The rooms were a decent size with a free safe good size bathroom plenty of storage space fridge and television free bottle of water in the room when we arrived.Only thing on arriving because we arrived after 10pm there was no food other places we have visited gave us a bag with something to eat like a sandwich or something luckily we weren’t hungry.The hotel itself was lovely to sit around with a quiet place with a jacuzzi or you could sit around the main pool everything was kept clean.The restaurant was nice I’m a fussy eater but always found something to eat loved the breakfasts sister loved all the different fish that was on offer.The night time entertainment could have been a little better but didn’t spoil our time.All the staff worked their feet off to make sure you had a great time always smiling and saying hello when you seen them they are a credit to the hotel.Would we come back myself my wife and sister all agreed we had a great time and would have no hesitation in coming back to this lovely hotel. This was our second time at the hotel as we visited last September. Overall rating 8/10 We did feel our previous stay was slightly better than this time, here's why. The food last time was absolutely fabulous but it did seem that there has been cost cutting in this area as the variety and quality were not as good, having said that still good all inclusive food and better than most. No issues at all with flies. Rooms were lovely and cleaned to a high standard everyday. No tea, coffee or sugar provided which I.m sure there was last time and tbh expected at a 4*. No problems getting a sunbed and once reserved people were using them. Pool was lovely and warm. Make sure you visit the jacuzzi area near block 4 as we missed it in a previous visit. All staff were lovely and friendly and worked really hard to ensure you have a good holiday. Location is perfect within a short walk to bar's, restaurants, shops and the beach. Meloneras is definitely worth a vist and only £12 in a taxi. There are some gorgeous restaurants and the sunset is amazing! I would return again but maybe not for a few years as we feel that we have fully explored the area and like to try new resorts but would recommend people to this hotel.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you are a fussy eater because the food selection is rubbish, same options everyday. Also there was a lot of flies in the restaurant which was very off putting
