Romantic landscapes, breathtaking moments and amazing sunsets, can only be enjoyed in this beautiful hotel located just 200 meters from Playa del Ingles. From diving into the magnificent area of pools, or enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views from a terrace or rooftop, the diversity of amenities is unmatched. Avant-garde rooms, which house all the comforts guaranteed for a pleasant rest. This complex has a restaurant that offers a great national and international gastronomic variety, as well as bars to liven up the afternoons and evenings of the seductive excitement. In addition, a few steps from the hotel is the shopping center where visitors can shop in stores, restaurants and bars, easyly move to the dunes of Maspalomas just one kilometer away or to the Gran Canaria Airport one hour away.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, which include 3 outdoor swimming pools, a sauna and a fitness centre. Additional features at this Beaux Arts hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and a television in a common area.
We stayed five nights and overall were very happy. Rooms were a good size, the beds were comfortable, and everything was always clean. The shower was great, with proper water pressure. There are two pool areas. The main pool has lots of entertainment like music, quizzes, and Zumba. We preferred the rooftop pool. It's quieter and more chilled, with two small pools and plenty of space. The pools are only deep enough to sit in but fine if you just want to cool off. We never struggled to find a sunbed, though a few more umbrellas would've been nice. Staff were very friendly, and drinks were decent. The location is convenient with bars nearby. Kasbah is about ten minutes away, and Yumbo Center is a bit further but still walkable. Yumbo is great for LGBTQ+ nightlife with drag shows and dancing late into the night. The beach is not far, although we didn't visit this time.
The main downside was the food. We weren't expecting much from all-inclusive, but it was unfortunately quite poor, especially for a vegetarian. I ended up eating lots of fries and vegetables. Worse, food labeling was sometimes wrong. Once a vegetarian pizza was labelled ham, and when I checked the signs were swapped. Worse, another time a pasta salad labeled just to contain veg turned out to be tuna. That really needs improvement. We'd stay again, but would book breakfast instead of all-inclusive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were happy with the facilities from the hotel - minus the food.
We genuinely cannot fault this hotel. What could have been a complete holiday disaster turned into a fantastic break, and that is largely down to the incredible team at BlueSea Marieta.
I had an absolute nightmare with On the Beach following a missed flight (entirely my fault), but trying to get hold of OTB to rectify the situation and salvage the holiday was like pulling teeth. Throughout all of this, the hotel team bent over backwards to help us. They were understanding, patient, kind and genuinely caring, and they went far beyond what we could ever have expected. They didn’t just provide us with a hotel — they helped make sure we still had a holiday. For that alone, we will always be grateful.
Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and professional. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and you were greeted with genuine smiles rather than forced hospitality.
The hotel itself is clean, modern and very well maintained. The entrance is on a main road which isn’t particularly busy, with shops immediately to the right, including a small supermarket that stocks pretty much everything you’d need. There are steps down to the entrance, but also a slope for those requiring easier access.
The lobby is fresh and contemporary, with reception immediately to the right. Check-in was quick and straightforward, and there are no city taxes to pay. There are two lifts serving the five floors, with the fifth floor being the rooftop area.
The rooftop is a lovely feature, with two sitting pools, plenty of sunbeds and a small bar at the far end serving drinks and snacks. One side offers sea views and the other looks across the town.
Our room was on the fourth floor with a sea view and was absolutely spotless. It was cleaned every day and maintained beautifully. We had a twin room with two enormous single beds pushed together — genuinely some of the biggest hotel beds we’ve ever had! The bedding was crisp, white and immaculate.
The bathroom had a surprisingly powerful shower for a hotel of this size. There was also a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee (although no milk, so bring your own), a fridge, suitcase storage and a comfortable chair as well as a double wardrobe and a safe.
The balcony was large, had a bistro table and chairs, and high-sided walls which gave a good level of privacy from neighbouring balconies. Ours overlooked the outdoor dining and entertainment area of the hotel. You could hear some of the entertainment with the balcony door open, but once closed it wasn’t intrusive, and everything finished at a very reasonable time.
We were all-inclusive and were genuinely impressed with the food. It wasn’t the usual bland buffet fare — there was plenty of flavour and a really good variety. Freshly cooked pizzas were made right in front of you, alongside chips, chicken, pork, beef, fish, pasta, salads, bread, fruit, pastries, cereals, cheeses and cold meats. Everything was fresh, and the staff were constantly replenishing the popular dishes so nothing was left sitting empty.
There was a good selection of milks, teas, coffees, soft drinks and beer on tap. Unless you are exceptionally fussy, you’d struggle not to find something you enjoyed.
The downstairs outdoor pool was lovely, although the water was quite cool. There were enough sunbeds during our stay, and while there was music playing, it wasn’t really to our taste — which is why we tended to use the rooftop instead.
The location is excellent. There are shops literally seconds from the hotel. Turn left out of the entrance and you can walk towards the promenade, which sits above the beach and offers lovely views down towards the sea. Turn right and you head towards a quieter section of the beach.
We also used the spa on our last day as we had a late flight, and it was such a lovely, relaxing way to finish the holiday. There are two pools — one warm enough to feel almost like a bath, and another slightly cooler one — plus a steam room and sauna. It was a real treat and made the last day feel much more enjoyable rather than just hanging around waiting for the flight.
For non-guests, the spa was €20 per person per hour, while hotel guests paid €10 per person. We thought that was very reasonable, especially for a final-day treat. The treatment side of the spa can get extremely busy, though, so if you’re thinking of booking massages or other treatments, I’d definitely recommend booking in advance.
Location – 10 mins to the beach Who the hotel suits – couples, older travellers, people wanting a quieter break, etc. Entertainment – every night and a laugh, finishes at a reasonable time. Drinks / all-inclusive – branded, no real restrictions and bar both upstairs and down as well as round the corner from reception Air conditioning – especially useful in Gran Canaria, it was perfect. Beds / sleep quality – Spot on.
Overall, this hotel is an absolute gem. The facilities are excellent, the food is genuinely good, the rooms are spotless, the location is convenient, and the staff are outstanding.
But above everything else, it is the people who make this place special. When we were having a difficult time, they showed genuine compassion and went out of their way to help us. That says more about a hotel than any fancy facilities ever could.
We would absolutely return to BlueSea Marieta and would have no hesitation recommending it. A huge thank you to the entire team for making what could have been a disastrous holiday into one we’ll remember for all the right reasons. ❤️
We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant holiday, but there are definitely some areas that could be improved.
The majority of the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, particularly the reception team and the staff working at the rooftop bar. They were always friendly and welcoming. However, we found some of the staff working at the downstairs evening bar could be quite abrupt and unwelcoming, which was disappointing.
The food was perfectly acceptable and we always managed to find something to eat, but the selection became quite repetitive after a few days. The all-inclusive drinks were also fine, although the choices were fairly limited.
One of the biggest drawbacks for us was the lack of air conditioning in both the lobby and restaurant areas. During our stay temperatures were around 36°C every day, and eating indoors in that heat was quite uncomfortable and at times almost unbearable.
Our room was generally fine, but the shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor every time it was used, and the bathroom door made a very loud banging noise whenever it was closed. Neither issue ruined our stay, but was frustrating.
Unfortunately, while packing on our final day, we found a large cockroach underneath one of the pillows. This was extremely off-putting and, had it happened earlier in the holiday, it would have significantly impacted our enjoyment of the stay.
Check-in was also quite slow. We waited around 30 minutes with only one person on reception. We completely understand that busy periods happen, but after a long day of travelling it was frustrating, and having additional staff available during peak check-in times may help.
On the positive side, we loved the rooftop chill-out area. There were always sunbeds available, and the small pools were perfect for cooling off throughout the day. The location was also excellent, with shops, a great supermarket and an ice cream parlour all right next door.
The hotel and dining areas were kept clean throughout our stay, which we appreciated. We also had no issue with the €1 cup deposit system. In fact, it meant there were no discarded cups left around the pool areas, something we’ve experienced at other all-inclusive hotels.
My partner celebrated his birthday during our stay and the hotel kindly provided a bottle of champagne and chocolates, which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated.
Overall, we had a good holiday and a pleasant stay. However, in our opinion this feels more like a 3-star hotel than a 4-star. While there were certainly positives, the issues mentioned above mean we probably wouldn’t choose to return in the future.
This is our 2nd visit to the hotel, it was our anniversary I messaged the hotel to ask for a high floor and our request was for filled and we had a bottle and rose petals in the room which was a lovely touch. The staff are great, the animation guy is absolutely fantastic full of energy. The room has air conditioning that works really well and the beds are super comfy, the sea view is beautiful, only complaint about the room was the sheets weren't changed all week and the floor wasn't cleaned either,vwe spent most of our time on the rooftop terrace the plunge pools are great to cool off. The food was really good different every evening, there's a fair selection of all inclusive drinks Gordon's pink gin and Malibu was a real plus, only complaint with drinks is you have to pay at the bar for bottled water I wouldn't expect that in a 4* all inc. Sadly on our one but last day we left our beach bag with books sun cream and an inside pocket which is at the bottom of the bag and not easy to see we had our passports credit card and £180 in cash we literally left it under the bed for around 20min when we returned I opened the bag and saw the passports in the top of the bag I looked in the pocket and it was empty, someone had taken the money and credit card, being as it's an adult only hotel and mostly older generation I didn't dream anyone would take anything everyone was leaving their bags an phone unattested, looking at it now it was a stupid thing to do but the safe in the room wouldn't open we should have reported it but we didn't we saw the manager but unfortunately there isn't any cctv, this has really upset me,and I can't wait to go home we were going to book a late checkout room as we don't leave until the evening but sadly now we have no money or credit card. If you book you'll be sure to have a lovely holiday just PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DONT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES UNATTENDED.
This was my second stay here, previously Labranda. Blue sea are still very good. Great location, hotel is very clean, rooms have everything you need. No issues with the air con. Staff are friendly and helpful Great relaxed atmospher, would definitely return. We had a great relaxing week
