This wonderful complex, surrounded by the natural landscape and the spectacular view of the sea of Playa del Ingles, is the perfect hotel for those vacationers who are looking for the balance between beauty and simplicity. It has an area of outdoor pool where guests can enjoy a wonderful sunbath in the sun loungers on the shore, or simply cool off in its always mild climate, surrounded by palm trees and green areas. The restaurant offers delicious food suitable for any age and very diverse, while to enjoy the nightlife the bar is available with its drinks menu. The rooms have a balcony to enjoy the paradisiacal views and are equipped with everything necessary to have a pleasant stay. Nearby is the town, where you can find shops, bars and restaurants to get to know the culture and make purchases and, just 40 minutes from the hotel, is the Gran Canaria airport.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
READ THE REVIEWS, and most are right. Location is good BUT depending on where your bedroom is IE front of the hotel, then you get all the noise from all the bars, Irish bars, live karaoke entertainment, restaurants, etc., until early morning- 2 a.m., 4 a.m.- so not much sleep. The bedrooms have rock-hard 2 single beds, like lying on a mortuary slab. Restless back pain, pain in legs and NO AIR CONDITIONING. Didn't sleep at all; slept around the pool most times . Bedrooms don't have big windows; there are very small, long, narrow windows at the top of the room. To me, it seems like a prison cell. DIDN'T LIKE THIS AT ALL. No natural light in the bedroom; dark and dismal. All bedrooms face east and onto a veranda. The room we was lucky our room was at the back our lounge overlooking the main pool, which was good . It was very warm so we needed a shower every day. The towels were changed twice in 7 days, and we had to ask for this to be done room was cleaned maybe 3 times They didn't bother changing the towels , and the bed sheets were changed once. Not good at all. We were all-inclusive. Restaurant plates, bowls, cups, mugs, and glasses were chipped, and most of them were wet as well. FOOD was ok the first 2 or 3 days then it seemed to change. On the Monday evening meal, the choice was not great; this was like this for 2 to 3 days, then it picked up again. But there was choice, and most of the food was cooked fresh, tasted nice and was hot. Breakfast good, Lunch good, BETER THAN THE EVENING. SOMETIMES plenty of fresh fruit and salads. The staff was ok most of them I could be picky, but it is what it is . The pools were nice two quiet one in the middle of the hotel the one at the back was nice but the children's pool was good. NOTHING ELSE FOR THE CHILDREN NO CLUBS,NO ENTERTAINMENT FOR CHILDREN. Not that much outside for children,aswell. No entertainment staff I didn't see any, and don't forget the ROBO COP the security that patrols the hotel. SLIGHTLY INTIMIDATING BUT FOUND THEM OK /. There were some acts on most nights, but mostly for adults. And they was ok except for a drag artist Which I most say I could of done better for tweenty minutes part of is act was prending to be dolly huge boobs which where balls that he took out and then poeple had to try to throw the balls into his/ Her top and bra this was not entertaiment to me. The best thing was the weather and the good entertainment in the bars. I DIDN'T EXPECT MUCH, AND THAT'S WHAT WE GOT
This is the second time staying here in September. We thought the hotel was ok for the money. Simple. Nice Pools. This year we upgraded our room. The main difference was a walk in shower and a stand up fan for cooling. The fan was rubbish. The shower water ran into the corridor if you didn’t put a towel down to stop it. The sofa bed in the lounge was just just to sit on and it was so uncomfortable. It was so soft it looked like it needed replacing. The sponge type material was flattened from over use I guess. The room was tidy and clean. Cleaning isn’t done on a Thursday or Sunday to remember to keep your towels or bring an extra one. The 3 pools are ok but you’re not allowed to bring anything into them like floats or balls. The all inclusive package was ok until we ran into an issue at checkout. We had to check out at 11am but weren’t going to be picked up by Tui until 7pm. As we didn’t get to use any all inclusive on the first day due to flight times last year they let us keep our bands. This year they cut them off and said it’s hotel policy. We found this poor. So you only get 5 full days of all inclusive not 7! This let us down and really put us off checking in on this type of flight again with Tui. Their customer service was poor when I told them. They said it’s upto the hotel. Feel a bit ripped off with the all inclusive package days pair for.
We checked out all facilities of the hotel before booking and were satisfied with our choice even though there was no air conditioner as clearly stated along with having to pay for WiFi unless you upgrade. We paid 50 euros for the superior room as we preferred a shower rather than a bath. On reading reviews from others we were beginning to doubt our choice ( most were horrendous). On our arrival all our fears were put to bed all of the bad reviews in my opinion were completely nonsense by people who didn't read the description properly and expected 5 star treatment from a 2/3 star hotel. Our apartment was great it contained a modern ceramic hob a new fridge with large freezer compartment, a large modern microwave/oven, a large fan and free WiFi. We were supplied with cutlery and dishes, washing liquid and pan scrub tea towel. A walk in shower room with complimentary toiletries. Large bedroom with 2 3/4 beds and plenty of storage. We were on the ground floor and had a large terrace with our own sun loungers a parasol and table and chairs. The facilities at the hotel were really good 3 big pools and 1 large children's pool. On site manicure shop, hairdressers, gym very upto date equipment cycle centre and a small store open until late evening. The staff from cleaning crews to reception staff to security guards were all friendly and helpful and always said good morning, good day, good night. In my opinion if you make the effort then you get a better experience. The hotel and staff are much better than a lot of people have stated in their reviews, this is an honest and truthful review and my partner and I will have no hesitation in coming back to the Jardin del Atlantico.
Still here now and ground floor rooms (upgraded ones ) over run with mice ( we hope it’s only mice ) Security guard accompanied us to room and one flew out and he stamped on it popping across the path. I know people will say get mice everywhere but nothing seems to be done and they have eaten our belongings ( other people have said the same. Shower tray !! Water cascades straight out the wall in part across the bathroom and out into the hall. Plus is that apartment is well equipped and clean. AI is ok as they go as well. Drinks what you expect. Good is fine at breakfast and lunch ( we just go out at night anyway. Pools are great but be warned if you have children who enjoy floats as part of their holiday ( what child doesn’t) you are not allowed anything other the swimming aids. And remember you’re not allowed to have fun in the sun. I know you get what you pay for but I never paid for the added pets on the room.
Worst hotel I’ve ever been too. Mice everywhere we saw the security man kill one in front of us and droppings from the mice in sofa bed and cutlery draw. Also staff are so rude on reception and the security man is so rude and aggressive especially towards women. Calling us crazy in Spanish. We speak Spanish very well! Would not return or send my worst enemy here not worth the money at all! Would not recommend unless you want too be poorly all week
