This attractive hotel is ideally located in the popular holiday resort of Playa del Inglés in the south of Gran Canaria. It features an outdoor pool, an excellent spa area, a gym, a restaurant and three bars. The resort centre with countless shops, restaurants, bars, pubs and entertainment options is within a short stroll; the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the beach.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I have been going to Gran Canaria for over 30 years so I have stayed in a lot of hotels up until this one the Princess had been favorite but not anymore , we were upgraded to 7th floor so great views seperate bedroom to living room & balcony which was nice , there were 4 lifts so never had to wait long . We stayed half board breakfast. & dinner were very good & lots of choice , there is a very large spa underneath hotel with two big pools & a Dead Sea pool which was amazing plus two jacuzzis , also a seperate gym with free weights by the large outside pool , also on the roof was another smaller jacuzzi & sun loungers . We hired a a car from Autoreisen near the airport & had free parking at the hotel which was good. Only downside was no Wi Fi the whole time we were there & the towels were not the best & only changed 3 times a week but couldn’t really fault anything else
Just returned from a fantastic 9 night holiday
Arrived late and was quickly located to our rooms
Rooms were spacious and very clean ...and the balcony view ...Just perfect
Pool area was lovely plenty of sunbeds ,there's no smoking policy 🚭 around the main pool. one section is allocated at the back end of pool area by the gym ! Lol ....and a small smoking area outside in the restaurant area
You could never go hungry at this hotel. !
Pool bar , consisted of massive hotdogs ! , burgers , toasties , spring rolls , Swedish/ Danish sausage , crochets and and not forgetting fries ( opens 11am till 5pm food finishes at 4pm )
If that's not to your fancy you have a option of al a carte menu which is situated at the other bar ...wow what a selection and very big portions ( this option closes at 3.30pm)
Then you have the main buffet restaurant, breakfast , dinner and evening meal
I have eaten in many AL hotels and I would say the food here has been one of the best. Lots of salads , and hot food and plenty of deserts
How people can slate the food here I just don't understand ! !
To top it off you have your own spa ! ! and this is all included FREE! Beautiful addition to the hotel with so many different rooms / areas to choose and explore 10-12pm children are allowed to experience a little extra fun ! Open till 6pm Towel hire is inside here
You also have a small sunroof area with hot tub and plenty of sunbeds ...very quite and private.
Entertainment...something going on throughout the day with the kids clubs , activities ...it's your choice if you want to use it or get involved ....your on holiday ! Again people have again slated this ... Evening Entertainment: (Some acts not to everyone's taste but they try their best ) Hotel has 2 stages One inside which has dancers , acts and outside which is much bigger and hosts singers act for the older generation ..( this get full early on ) .this should be swapped ....poor acts trying to show there skills on a tiny stage and you have a singer on the main stage outside ....I thought that the older generation get the better deal ! Guests are mostly made up of , German, Dutch, Spanish ect ect and hotel seems to adhere to their needs first , not many British guests but we still really enjoyed ourselfs as a family of 8 5 adults 3 children. Staff were mainly nice just a few which were a bit rude and ignorant. Location: about 2 k to beach Shops ,supermarket and bars around the corner but not 2 noisey Maspalomas beach was lovely we went and the wind arrived ! so didn't stay all day We ate out only 3 times as we enjoyed the food at hotel so much. Sad to leave as we all enjoyed our time in this hotel Would highly recommend Please don't listen to the reviews that ppl have taken the time to complain about .... You have to make the most out of what this hotel provides. Great pool , great food , great spa ! Great staff ( minus a few) and 2 areas of entertainment and a spotless hotel and hopefully you have great weather We visited the aqualand water park ...great waterpark ! Also went on a really good boat trip from porta Rico.... What more can you ask for ?
We were a little sceptical before coming due to some negative reviews on here but .. we really cannot understand how people can rate this hotel so poorly! We have had such a fantastic holiday and have stayed in higher rated hotels before that have no way been as good as this one! I will try and go through as much as i can
Rooms - spacious clean rooms with everything you need. Spotlessly clean with lovely views of the pool/resort/sea. Fantastic air con and lots of storage. Tv with english channels.
Food - the food has been amazing - so many options! Pool bar serving hot dogs burgers chips toasties croquettes spring rolls and more all cooked fresh. Pizza bar with different pizzas aswell as an lunch a la carte menu with a huge menu - you get to visit here every day if you wish. The food in the main resteraunt was also always hot and plenty of options. Our plan was to eat out the majority of the time but we stayed in because we found the food so good.
Animation team - plenty going on all day all different activities. Special shout out to Sara who made our sons holiday extra special ( he never left her side and she had so much time for him). Two options of entertainment in the evenings - inside more for families although the outside entertainment with live singers/djs was also great and we got up dancing etc!
Spa - wow the fact this is included in your stay is amazing and kids can use between 10 and 12. We loved using this in the morning - its a beautiful spa.
The hotel is spotless and the staff work very hard. The majority were extremely pleasant.
The only slight improvements are the pool has quite a few tiles missing but did this impact our holiday? No not at all!
Another is swap the entertainment around so the family shows are outside.
We have had an amazing 9 days away and we would 100% return.

Really not sure why anyone could rate this any less than a 5* experience. The room’s are spacious and cleaned every day. The AI is as good as any I have been too. Hot, plenty to choose from. May the time of year but never struggled for a sun bed. The entertainment was good.. some nights better than others. Location is as advertised approx 20min walk to the beach. Not hilly as some reviews suggest. Overall a really pleasant stay.
Just returned from this hotel, hotel is very clean and looked after well,staff are amazing and work really hard.the girls at the pool bar especially need a mention as brilliant and friendly and are a credit to the hotel.AI very good always found something to eat and the chefs should be commended. the restaurant where you get alacarte is a must for steak on a stone,but loads of options to try.drinks ok but ask for branded vodka etc or you get Their own.Rooms massive and balconies good size,little tired here and there if you look for it but you don't spend any time in them, Entertainment ok band and singer outside and shows inside.personally I would swap these around because way to small and hot for shows inside either Aircon wasn't working or they didn't care it was a common complaint by other guests also,funny really as you walk in hotel lovely and cool but where they decide to put shows boiling,this did spoil it a bit for us.Entertainment team at this hotel only three on at anytime very good but not as friendly as others I've encountered it's like they come down do what they have to and leave perhaps that's what they are told.Great hotel but unfortunately not lively enough for us.playa d Ingles brilliant and all bars and centres in walking distance 15 mins all be it if you want it's a little steep in parts back to hotel but didn't bother us as like a good walk after all the food and drink.not many English there when we went, plenty of Dutch and Spanish but they were all friendly.Be prepared to dash to pool if you want certain spots but can always get a bed after 9am if not fussed where you want to sit.All in all a good holiday for us really liked the resort not the hotels fault it wasn't lively enough for us as a family
