Of particular note are the panoramic views of the mountain, of the garden and of the swimming pool. During the warmer months of the year, guests can use the outdoor swimming pools. We are just waiting for our transport to airport on our last day. Lovely apartments, we stayed in a 2 bedroom standard room. We had to hire a air con unit as rooms only have ceiling fans this cost 11 euros per day. Can't comment on food as we were self catering so went out every night to eat. Area is beautiful, lots of restaurants to choose from, defo try Asia house and mr India, they were our favourite meals. The balcony for a standard room is alot smaller then pictures show but still a decent size. Not much entertainment at night, we saw opera singers and a circus type show. Lovely relaxing holiday.
This is our second visit to these apartments and I’ve already booked for next year! The staff are really friendly and helpful, the apartments are spacious and cleaned 5 days out of 7. We had a 2 bedroom superior apartment which had air conditioning - I would definitely pay the extra for a superior apartment for the aircon and spacious balcony. We had our 6 year old grandson with us, he loved the splash park and the main pool. Loads of restaurants within walking distance and a decent supermarket across the road. Weather in July was perfect - 28 degrees with a small breeze. Mogan is a beautiful place, we spent a couple of days at the beach, sunbeds always available and reasonably priced.
The hotel is well located for a small walk into the cente. With a supermarket close by it’s great for self catering holiday for families. Unfortunately some of the reception staff are not helpful and rude. Linda on reception is very customer focused and helps families were possible. One of the staff around the quiet pool is very rude and makes holiday makers feel unwelcome not a great experience
It pains me to write a review that is anything but glowing. This used to be my happy place, I loved this hotel and couldn’t wait to return with my own children. However I write this review while still here. My love of the hotel has for sure departed. While there are some fantastic point to the hotel. Its location, having a shop straight across the road and a short walk to the beach and harbour. That’s where the fantastic ends. I came with my children one of which is autistic and I can say if your family has anyone on the spectrum to stay clear. It’s not inclusive of invisible disabilities. We were given a room in a good location but the idea of ‘quiet’ has a lot to be desired. The room we booked with air-con to allow us a chance at lunch time to come back and cool off. (Not possible given the sunbed situation as seems ur not allowed to leave them. This is explained further on) However I’ve never known air-con to be so loud. Every 20-30 mins my daughter is being woken in the night due to the pump. Only way to stop it is to have it turned off long before bed. Which defeats booking an air-con room in July and August. The sun bed situation is frustrating. Leading to anxiety on holiday. Once you have your bed you need to have someone on them at all times, defeating the idea of a family holiday. Every day we have been in the pool together and came back to a ‘do not reserve the sun beds’ card. Today I left the beds at 1243 and the card was labelled at 1255! We all as a family got out the pool at 1323. This triggered my daughter and We have had to leave the pool altogether. This isn’t the resort for a family fun holiday. It’s caused so much stress. We see people reserving in the morning and not being there until 3-4 hours later. Yet we can’t even go in the pool as a family without being issued a warning. The pool bar isn’t stocked well and the snack availability is poor. The hotel is tired and in deep need of a refurbishment. Our room had damp damage to the ceiling and woodwork to the wardrobe. The hallways are dirty and the cleaners don’t seem to clean them. We are room 226 with an inside corridor with plaster marks and grime. The cleaner has only changed the towels once in our 8 days already here and bedding is the same as the when we arrived. They also do not restock toilet roll. So be sure to pick some up from the shop. The pool area is unkept, rubbish left around and the smell in areas is awful. The end by the pool bar smells of urine and the middle area has a dirty nappy smell to it. So it’s with heartbreak we won’t be returning and I so hoped it would’ve been a different outcome. Having been here several times before having a family and working on the island including as a rep servicing here I will be leaving very sad we won’t be returning) One good point I will say is how hard working the reception team are they really do all the can to help guests, so it’s a shame they are let Down by other aspects around the hotel. For families coming be aware they do not allow inflatables. Just arm bands and small float rings for younger children. Ball games in pool are also limited. The main pool is very busy and very loud and when they entertainment team are running games in the pool this takes over most of the pool.
Family of 5 - two adults, two teens and a tween just back from 10 days at this superb resort. Perfectly located less than a 15 minute stroll from Puerto de Mogan village, the bus station is about 10 minutes away. Supermarket is 3 minutes away, perfect for those little bits - this is very reasonably priced.
We have already booked to come back for a short break in February and family holiday again next summer. There's great value to be had via the property website at the moment.
From arrival to departure we could not fault the service we received from consistently professional, friendly staff.
We had checked in on line and arrived before the designated 3pm check in. However, we only had to wait about 20 minutes for our apartment to be ready - just enough time to enjoy our complimentary arrival drinks.
We had a standard 2 bed apartment. Bedrooms were a great size and both had patio door access to the huge balcony. One Bedroom had an ensuite bathroom. Well equipped kitchen area with drip coffee machine, electric kettle, 2 ring electric hob. Good dining and sitting area which was barely used as the balcony was preferred by all. Balconies are not overlooked. Maybe it was where we were located but there was no noise at night. Cleaning service called every day except Thursday and Sunday - Towels changed every 2nd day and bedding twice a week - perfect for us.
Pool areas are well looked after and patrolled by lifeguards between 10am and 6pm. The quiet pool was great, however people need to understand that it is called a quiet pool for a reason and you will, rightly, be asked to keep the volume down. Rule no. 1 is respect the quiet. At the main pool there are a lot of sun loungers and reserving is not allowed, but there is a little lee way. If you leave your sun lounger you have roughly 1.5 hours before your belongings are removed by the lifeguard. Yes, you might only be gone for a few minutes and come back to a ticket reminding you about reserving beds, this is nothing personal it's the rules, and ultimately offers fair access to all.
The buffet breakfast and dinner were perfect and offered great variety even for the pickiest of eaters.
The thermal circuit in the Spa must be tried - a great experience, with wonderful staff.
I'm counting down the days until I'm back.
