Amazing hotel
Most stunning hotel, amazing in every way.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great location
This hotel is beautiful. It’s well maintained and thoughtfully decorated throughout. The plants are gorgeous, lots of pool areas to choose from too.
We stayed in the junior suite unique room. We were blown away by how big the room was. As a family of four (children ages 6 & 11) we valued to extra space which had bedroom/living area. The room was cleaned daily, fresh towels twice a day if needed, fresh water replaced daily, good easy WiFi, chrome cast to smart tvs in both rooms, comfy beds, big bathroom/private toilet area, tea/coffee/fridge facilities, lots of wardrobe space and shelving which was great. The only thing we felt let the room down was the lighting. It was ambient with no ceiling spot lights in the bedroom/ living area (kids room in our case) which made getting ready/finding things/getting sorted a chore. We joked we all needed head torches on! We did speak to reception who were friendly and helpful. They got us an additional lamp/removed shades of the others in our room. They did also say we could try and move if this wasn’t to our satisfaction but as we had unpacked already and with 4 of us we couldn’t face the packing/unpacking all over again as we wanted to spend time enjoying our holiday. Our room was positioned on the end of the ground floor so also didn’t offer much natural light so I think had we been in a different position this may not have been so bad. Because we arrived at night too it wasn’t until a day or so we realised we had an issue.
We had breakfast at both the buffet and pili pili restaurant which were both good. Lots of choice, the usual summer holidays buffet carnage but the staff take you to a table so always tables and there was always plenty of everything nothing ever ran out. The pili pili breakfast was a more relaxing experience and again great food and service.
Sunbed wars at the pools isn’t too bad if you’re not up early don’t expect poolside seats but there were always beds available no matter what time you went down. Plenty of pools to choose from too if you prefer something more going on for the kids or somewhere quieter there’s both options.
The location is great lovely restaurants with a sea view in walking distance. Along with plenty of shopping.
Puerto Mogan is a must visit, which is around 20/25mins away. We also did the aquarium which we loved. Car hire just next to the hotel and reasonably priced so we saw lots of the island and it was all beautiful.
We have some gorgeous photos from around the hotel too. Lovely stay and hotel just let down by the lighting, so for this reason probably wouldn’t go back. But would definitely stay in this location again.

Lovely hotel. Nice ambiance. Good gym. Good food. Lots for children to do. Very good and varied entertainment.
The African-themed design is stunning
Just back from an amazing vacation at Lopesan Baobab Resort! The African-themed design is stunning, and the pools are incredible. Every staff member was super friendly, making our stay perfect. Huge congratulations to the team for creating such a wonderful experience. We will absolutely be back soon!
A fantastic stay at a STUNNING Hotel.
We’ve just returned home from our stay at Lopesan Baobab and had a fantastic time. The hotel is absolutely stunning and definitely one of the most impressive hotels we’ve stayed at. The grounds, pools and whole design of the place are incredible, and we would absolutely recommend it.
We did have an issue when we first arrived, which was disappointing at the time, but the way it was dealt with completely turned the situation around.
A very special mention has to go to Brian on reception, who was absolutely brilliant with us. He was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay and went out of his way to make sure everything was okay after our initial issue. He genuinely cared that we were having a good stay and is a real asset to the hotel and the Lopesan brand.
We also want to mention Laura, who worked alongside Brian to help resolve the issue when we arrived. Both of them handled everything really well and we really appreciated the way they looked after us.
We also have to give a VERY special mention to ‘Su-Su’ – Ramon Jesus at the Unique Breakfast. His service was honestly second to none. He was so friendly, attentive and welcoming every single morning and became one of the real highlights of our stay. He is one of those people who genuinely makes a difference to your holiday, and we would return to the resort just to receive his fantastic service once again!
Overall, we had a brilliant holiday and came away with a really positive impression of Lopesan Baobab. It’s a beautiful hotel, but it was the people who really made the stay memorable for us.
We would happily return and would definitely recommend it. A huge thank you again to Brian, Laura and Su-Su for looking after us so well.
P.S - For the small additional cost to add on Half Board Premium, it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. Being able to dine around all of the local Lopesan hotels in the A La Carte restaurants was a highlight of our stay.
