We stayed at Maspalomas Princess for the second time, and unfortunately, this hotel is getting drastically worse every year. Last year, our daughter was sick for an entire week during our stay when she was 1.5 years old. This year, it was a total disaster. Both my 2.5-year-old daughter and I ended up with high fever, severe cough, and runny nose after just two nights. I returned home with dangerous pneumonia.The hotel is a permanent source of infections. The air conditioning in the room is visibly moldy and full of fungus, blowing toxic air directly onto the beds. The hygiene standards of the staff are nonexistent. We literally witnessed a hotel worker cleaning the floors around the sunbeds – which were covered in filth directly from two nearby public toilets – with a mop, then dipping that same dirty mop directly into the swimming pool water, and then using it to wipe the tables next to the sunbeds! This is how they spread dangerous fecal bacteria and viruses to surfaces where people and children eat. Many other guests at the hotel were also visibly sick, constantly coughing and sniffling.The food has also gotten significantly worse. We were here in July last year and it was okay, but now in September, outside the peak season, the selection was cut at least by half. Furthermore, the cutlery and plates are constantly dirty – to such an extent that you can regularly find stuck-on food residues on them.On top of that, the staff completely lacks basic English skills, which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. On our departure day, I spent 20 minutes trying to communicate with three different waiters just to explain that I wanted to buy a simple bottle of sparkling water. It is impossible to get basic service here.If you care about your health and your children’s safety, stay away from this resort. We will never come back here.

The location is not great there is nothing around the hotel .They hotel seemed like they did not care about their paying customers.on the tui website it is advertised as a 5* but actually was a 4* .had to get our self’s drink even tho we paid for a service.The entrance was lovely as soon as we went in the room is was a different atheistic they were quite outdated.No air con in the room so very hot. Bedside tables were slated so the draws were coming out all the time .Wont be going back
Hotel was beautiful inside and the pool areas were kept spotless but my god there aircon in the rooms and the hotel lobby areas and bathroom didn’t work and made the heat outside cooler than being indoors, we’ve seen great reviews about the hotel online and we were so excited to try this hotel but it didn’t live up to our expectations and for the money we paid I think I’d prefer to go somewhere else on the island as there isn’t much around the resort, we also found that we booked the hotel thinking that one side of the hotel would be adults only and the other for family’s but it didn’t matter kids were everywhere bar the adults only pool section, food was plentiful but was very hit or miss. Staff were very helpful in the restaurants and bars and some of the checkin staff were also helpful bar one lady but overall would I return … maybe but more than likely would try somewhere else a lot closer to facilities and with better air on
